Trackdown: Suspect wanted for stabbing girlfriend in White Settlement

WHITE SETTLEMENT - It's been nine years since a man tried to stab his girlfriend to death in White Settlement. She survived, and the case was featured on a national crime show, America's Most Wanted, about a year ago.
White Settlement Police state that Cesar Colin, in November 2016, stabbed his girlfriend over five to six times and caused serious injuries to her.
Fortunately, the victim did live. Thanks to the officers who were on scene and provided medical aid to the victim.
Cesar Colin has been living here for several years in the state of Texas and is believed to still be living here, just from tips that the White Settlement Police Department have gotten in the past.

Detective Geovanny Ramirez talked to FOX 4's Shaun Rabb about Cesar Colin and what happened in 2016.
"The call came in about the 8300 block of Whitney, and it was an open 911 call, so our officers started searching the area and hearing not only their sirens but the young lady yelling for help," said Ramirez. "So, using that open line to 911, they were able to locate her about four houses down from where she lived."
Ramirez expressed what bothers him most about this case and the whereabouts of Cesar Colin.
"This man is still walking around after having these injuries to someone who he loved and, for all we know, he might be married now, might have kids or might be in a relationship with somebody else, so just the fact that somebody else might be in danger as well," said Ramirez. "We did not receive any solid tips of his whereabouts so we're hoping that we can absolutely track him down in the area."

Southern California father who is U.S. citizen, arrested during immigration raid, family says
(KTLA) – Family members are demanding answers after they say a man who is a U.S. citizen was wrongfully arrested by federal agents during an immigration raid in Montebello. On June 12, surveillance video captured the moment several masked and armed agents surrounded a tow truck business in Montebello. The agents quickly entered the property and began detaining mechanics and other workers at the site. One of the detained men who was later released spoke to KTLA but asked not to be identified out of safety concerns. He said he was violently grabbed and taken by the agents despite being a U.S. citizen. 'He slammed me to the gate,' the man told KTLA's Ellina Abovian. 'He put my hands behind my back. I'm an American citizen. You do not do that to Americans.' Nataly Degante, whose cousin, Javier Ramirez, 32, was arrested in the raid, said that while agents began handcuffing everyone, they reportedly never provided identification or information about why they were there. 'We see in the video that they don't come with a warrant,' she said. 'They don't have any documentation in their hands.' Degante said her cousin is a U.S. citizen and a single father of two young children. She described him as a hard worker with no criminal record. Video of the raid shows some workers being moved to the ground as agents quickly handcuffed them. Ramirez is also seen on the video yelling to the agents that he's a citizen. 'He's telling them he is a U.S. citizen and he's letting them know, 'My passport is in my pocket,'' Degante said. However, Ramirez was handcuffed and taken into custody. His brother tried following Ramirez's location through his cell phone's tracking app, but the signal was eventually lost. His family has not heard from him since. 'We haven't heard anything about him,' said Abimael Dominguez, his brother. 'He's diabetic. I don't even know if he has insulin yet or has he eaten? We don't know anything. ' It remains unclear whether the agents were with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Some of the agents appeared to be wearing uniforms with a Border Patrol insignia. 'I voted, but not for this,' said the man who was detained and later released. 'I'm an American citizen. I want the best for all of us. I feel like there is due process that we must follow.' 'They're not only taking criminals, they are taking our community,' Degante said. As of Friday afternoon, Homeland Security has not responded to KTLA's request for comment about why Ramirez was detained or whether he was wanted for any crimes.

Coroner ID's man killed in suspected DUI crash on Union Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner's Office identified a man who was killed in a suspected DUI crash on Union Avenue Tuesday night. Coroner officials said Randy Jason Munoz-Cruz, 27, of Porterville was the driver of a Dodge Charger that was involved in a crash with a white BMW who allegedly ran a red light. The crash was reported in the area of Union and East California avenues around 11:34 p.m. on Tuesday. Munoz-Cruz was taken to Kern Medical where he was pronounced dead, according to officials. The driver of the white BMW has been identified as Nathon Michael Ramirez, 19. Speed and DUI are believed to be factors for Ramirez. BPD told 17 News, it is believed Munoz-Cruz was neither speeding or impaired. An autopsy will be completed to determine the cause and manner of his death. 3rd suspect in connection with Mass. teen's stabbing death fled the country, DA says
A second man facing charges in connection with the stabbing death of a Chelsea high schooler has fled the country, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden's office said. Ezer Lenin Ramirez-Maldonado, 18, of East Boston, faces counts of murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to murder, Hayden's office said in a statement. No other information about Ramirez-Maldonado's whereabouts was shared. Ramirez-Maldonado is one of three people charged in connection with the stabbing death of Juan Carlos Lemus, 17. Chelsea and State Police learned of a double stabbing on Eastern Avenue around 8:45 p.m. on March 8, Hayden's office said previously. A 15-year-old boy was also stabbed during the incident, but he survived. On Thursday afternoon, Brayan Alfredo Lopez-Padilla, 26, of Chelsea, appeared in Suffolk Superior Court, Hayden's office said. He was charged with murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to murder. Lopez-Padilla is expected to return to court for a pretrial hearing on July 10. A 17-year-old boy suspected of the high schooler's death was also not arraigned on Thursday because of a "defense attorney work stoppage," Hayden's office said. The teenager was held overnight and is expected to appear in Boston Juvenile Court on Friday. Lemus's friends and family remember the Chelsea High School student as a 'cherished young soul' who loved hip-hop, video games and Burger King.
