THIS is the terrifying moment when a 4x4 rammed into a motorcyclist, sending him flying across the highway.
The shocking hit-and-run, which took place in Oregon on Monday morning, was captured in now viral dashcam footage.

It begins with a view of regular traffic on a busy highway.
A motorbike and 4x4 soon enter view in lanes

The biker can be seen gesturing at the vehicle's driver, although it is not clear what he was trying to say.
But in a horrifying split second, the 4x4 swerves across two lanes, wiping out the motorbike and knocking its rider onto the tarmac.
The vehicle then powers off into distance, weaving back into its original lane.
Police shared the footage as the followed up on the incident, which took place on the Highway 26 between Highway 217 and Cedar Hills Boulevard.
A driver wanted in connection to the incident was arrested later the same day.
Beaverton Police Department say that Samir Helio Pazzoto-Filho was arrested on charges of first-degree attempted assault, second-degree assault, hit-and-run felony, reckless
driving
and unlawful use of a weapon.

A tip from someone who recognised the Washington County resident's vehicle led cops to his home.
When they arrived, they saw him driving a blue Kia Carnival, which is believed to be the same vehicle involved in the crash.
