Mariah May finally has her WWE name, and it's bound to be divisive.
The former AEW Women's World Champion was featured in a vignette this evening on WWE NXT, which gave off severe vibes of Timeless Toni Storm meets Barbie before revealing May's new name: Blake Monroe.

This name was revealed on social media before the segment aired on television, as WWE updated her social media account name minutes before the reveal.
May getting a new name in WWE was inevitable following her NXT debut last week when the commentators refused to mention her by name. The company did a similar thing with Ricky Starks a few months ago. However, he would be allowed to keep the Ricky name and eventually became Ricky Saints.
Monroe's first feud is currently unknown. However, it seems clear WWE intends to fast-track her into a match against NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne.
