4-star Oregon Football QB target Bryson Beaver picks up another SEC offer
The Oregon Ducks may not have been first to the party when it comes to fast-rising quarterback prospect Bryson Beaver, but they certainly arrived early.
Since the Ducks showed up, others have followed.
Oregon offered the former Boise State commit a scholarship a couple of weeks ago, and since then, his recruitment has blown up. Credit to Beaver, who has put the work in, being named one of the top performers at last week's Elite 11 Finals camp. Additionally, credit to Oregon for recognizing the potential and issuing an offer early.
Since the Ducks offered Beaver, he has garnered interest from a lot of top schools in the nation, including the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss Rebels, both of which hosted him on visits earlier this month.
Now, following Beaver's official visit to Oregon this past weekend, the 4-star received another SEC scholarship offer, this time from the LSU Tigers.
We are now in another recruiting dead period, so Beaver won't be able to take a visit to LSU in the near future, but assuming he keeps his recruitment open through the summer, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him end up in Baton Rouge this fall for a game.
While Duck fans are eager to get Beaver, who is predicted to commit to Oregon, it's understandable that he wants to take his time with his recruitment. After blowing up so much in the past month, he certainly deserves to enjoy the process and not feel rushed in his decision.

Flyers set to acquire Trevor Zegras in trade with Ducks
The post Flyers set to acquire Trevor Zegras in trade with Ducks appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Philadelphia Flyers missed out on the playoffs by a wide margin this season, but they are now making big moves to ensure that doesn't happen again in 2025-26. On Monday, the Flyers made a huge move to acquire star forward Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks in a blockbuster trade, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Advertisement In return, the Ducks will get center Ryan Poehling and a pair of draft picks, including the 45th overall pick in this summer's draft. Zegras is an extremely talented offensive player when he is healthy and will immediately give the Flyers some punch on that end of the ice. Injuries have cut each of his last two seasons short, but he recorded 186 points in 268 career games in Anaheim. A change of scenery could do some good for Zegras, who has not been on a competitive team during his career. He has never played in a playoff game, and while the Flyers were also far away from postseason status a year ago, moves like this one show that they are committed to building a winner and a contender in the near future. Zegras helps the outlook of the Flyers in the present, but he also should be around for the future as well. The former top 10 pick is just 24 years old, so he still has plenty of time to improve and is not yet in the prime of his career. Advertisement The next step after this move is getting Zegras locked up in Philadelphia with a new contract extension for a long time. He is under contract next season on a $5.75 million bargain, but is slated to be a restricted free agent next summer. After making such a big swing to get him in the building, getting a new deal done with Zegras will certainly be priority No. 1 for the Flyers. If they can get that done, this has a chance to be a home run deal for Philadelphia. Zegras comes with his injury concerns, but he has a chance to develop into an elite offensive player that can anchor this Flyers squad into the future. 2025 CFB Odds: Who Will Be Crowned the Big Ten Champion?
College football kicks off in just two months. After winning the College Football Playoff championship last season, sportsbooks are favoring Ohio State to win the Big Ten title this year. Additionally, the Michigan Wolverines took home the national title the previous year. It's safe to say the Big Ten has recently been one of the most successful conferences in college football. So, which other team do oddsmakers think will have a shot at the conference title this year? Let's take a look ahead at the 2025 Big Ten title odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of June 23. Big Ten Conference Championship Winner 2025-26 Ohio State: +195 (bet $10 to win $29.50 total) Penn State: +265 (bet $10 to win $36.50 total) Oregon: +285 (bet $10 to win $38.50 total) Michigan: +850 (bet $10 to win $95 total) USC: +3000 (bet $10 to win $310 total) Illinois: +3000 (bet $10 to win $310 total) Fresh off a CFP title win, the Buckeyes sit at the top of the oddsboard to win the Big Ten title. It has been five years since Ohio State was crowned Big Ten champs, last achieving this in 2020 when they defeated Northwestern 22-10. Since the Big Ten Championship Game began in 2011, the Buckeyes have claimed the Big Ten title five times: 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Ohio State finished its 2024-25 season fourth in the conference with a 7-2 record. Next on the board sits Penn State, with +265 odds. The Nittany Lions secured their sole Big Ten title in 2016, defeating the Wisconsin Badgers 38-31. They made it to the championship game in 2024 but fell short of winning the title. Last season, Penn State tied for second place in the conference with Indiana, each finishing with 8-1 records. Oregon is another team that sportsbooks see as a top contender to win the title. The Ducks earned their first Big Ten title last year, outlasting No. 3 Penn State 45-37. Prior to that, Oregon last won its conference championship in 2020 while in the Pac-12. Coach Dan Lanning, who holds the most wins by any Oregon head coach through his first three seasons, will return for his fourth year in Eugene. Michigan won the Big Ten Championship Game for three consecutive years: 2021, 2022 and 2023. Head coach Sherrone Moore returns for his second season after finishing with a 5-4 record in the conference, which tied for fourth place with Minnesota. 5-star Oregon football QB target Ryder Lyons receives new prediction ahead of commitment
The Oregon Ducks have been working hard to land a 5-star passer in the class of 2026, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen at this point. While Jared Curtis chose the Georgia Bulldogs over the Ducks earlier this spring, the focus shifted to 5-star QB Ryder Lyons for Dan Lanning and his staff. After being considered the favorites for quite a while, it appears that Lyons, the No. 14 player and No. 4 QB in the class, is likely to end up elsewhere. According to new recruiting predictions from On3's Steve Wiltfong and Pete Nakos, Lyons is likely going to choose the BYU Cougars on Tuesday when he announces his commitment. While Lyons is a member of the 2026 class, he is expected to take an LDS mission out of high school, which will delay his enrollment until 2027. Because of this, Oregon was also recruiting a couple of other QB prospects in the 2026 class, like Bryson Beaver and Matt Ponotoski. Both players were on campus for their official visits this past weekend, and Oregon is projected to be right at the top of their lists when it comes to a commitment. We will see where the Ducks go with the 2026 QB spot down the road, but missing out on an elite player like Lyons is unfortunate.
