Bethenny Frankel has sold her Connecticut estate for a tidy profit amid her move to Florida
Bethenny Frankel has quietly sold her 282-year-old Connecticut home for a tidy profit.
An off-market sale, facilitated by Jeff Jackson of Corcoran Centric Realty, the deal saw Frankel's gated Greenwich compound change hands for $7.82 million, according to a release sent Tuesday.
The reality star and Skinnygirl mogul purchased the historic estate for $4.25 million in 2021.

This successful sale, first reported by Architectural Digest, comes as the former New Yorker departs the Northeast for the Sunshine State.
The Bravo star announced her Floridian flight in April to her millions of social media followers. Frankel quickly began shopping around her Connecticut home to a 'select group of family and friends,' a week later, Page Six reported, seeking $8 million for the pad.
The 3.05-acre property, known as Applejack Farm, was built in 1743, during colonial times. Architectural Digest reported that Frankel added her own contemporary touches, including sleek kitchen upgrades and patterned wallpapers.

The gated compound includes a five-bedroom main house with a La Cornue-equipped kitchen, a sunny primary suite and a gym. Elsewhere on the grounds is a two-bedroom guest cottage, a standalone studio and a separate 'party barn,' according to the press release.

In addition to luxe architectural details, like beamed ceilings, ornate moldings and an antique bar, the old home boasts a Connecticut governor, Lowell Weicker, among its former occupants.
'Properties with this level of attention to detail and with such rich architectural distinction, seldom come to market,' said Jackson in a press release.
Martha Z. Jeffrey & Anne Z. Ogilvy of Sotheby's International Realty represented the buyer in the off-market exchange.

Frankel explained to her TikTok followers in May that her idyllic suburban estate 'became a cave where I was lonely and home and never went anywhere.' Frankel shared that she believed her Florida move would reinvigorate her relationship with New York City.
Despite buying a new home base in Florida, Frankel has said that she plans to maintain her residences in Southampton and New York City.

Local ‘Subway Doodles' artist displays works at the Banksy Museum
SOHO, Manhattan (PIX11) — You never know what you'll see on the train. There are definitely some unique creatures. A big blue monster is making a name for itself on the subway and the creator has an exhibit with one of the most famous street artists. Things To Do Around NYC Commuters can draw a lot of inspiration from the ride or a walk around the city. An artist who uses an IPad to create multi-media art in transit is known as 'Subway Doodle.' 'I started drawing on the subway commuting everyday and I challenged myself to draw something during the commute,' he said. The artist says the pieces reflect life as a New Yorker, the things he observed, and the shared experiences. Subway Doodle is up at the Banksy Museum along Canal Street at Broadway. It features work by the famous street artist. A curator saw some potential in the space and invited Subway Doodle. The image took form in 2014 on Instagram. He has are also painted street murals. The larger than life cartoon characters and media display at the museum are his first solo exhibition. Keep your sense of humor. The commute can be a beast. 'Inspiration happens in many ways. Sometimes it's when I take the photo or I browse through them later. It reflects how I'm feeling on the inside. I take about 100 photos for every doodle I do,' he said. The Subway Doodle exhibit is free and on display through Aug. 24 at the Banksy Museum, which is billed as the world's largest collection of replica Banksy art. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. This Sunrise-Inspired Swimsuit Will Be Your New Favorite Summer Essential
Atmosphere by The Weather Channel curates products and services for all seasons. If you buy something from one of our links, we may earn a commission. Ah, summer's eternal water debate. Beach waves, pool plunges, or lake lounging—which claims your heart? As a former Floridian, you might expect me to wave the beach flag proudly – and yes, watching my puppies frolic on dog-friendly beaches and paddling happily in the surf was pure joy. But confession time: I've often forgone those sandy shores for the cool clarity of a pool. The lack of sand in unmentionable places is an added bonus. Lake life? I'm practically a tourist with just one visit under my belt. I suspect lakes secretly hold the crown for water sports, but I'll leave that verdict to the wakeboard warriors. Whatever your water worship style, summer beckons with its warm embrace, golden rays (slathered in SPF 50 sunscreen, naturally), and the perfect excuse to rock swimwear that turns heads for all the right reasons. With vacation plans filling my calendar, my swimsuit hunt reached Olympic-level intensity this season. After a parade of packages and returns, I've finally curated my water-ready wardrobe. From sunrise-inspired one-pieces that pop against any backdrop to playfully bold polka dots, here are the summer essentials making waves in my collection. Shop Our Swimsuit Favorites At Amazon Price: $36.99 at Amazon Color options: 38 Shop It: Amazon What we like: Ruched high-cut cheeky one-piece Drawstrings for customizable fit Removable padding, double-layered lining Adjustable spaghetti shoulder straps What we don't: Circular pads may be visible in lighter colors I fell in love with the Viottiset Ruched One Piece Swimsuit as soon as I slid the straps over my shoulders. Featuring an ombre color palette of vivid purple, hot orange and fluorescent yellow, this is a versatile swimsuit that allows you to customize your spice level. Want to flash a little cheek and show off your hips? Pull the drawstrings just a little tighter and watch it rise. Or tug the strings down for a more modest covering, and you'll feel right at home with the kiddos splashing in the water. While it claims tummy control, I'll be honest, I think it's more about concealing than compressing. The ruching adds a little extra fabric around the belly, but there's no major flattening or tightening built into the swimsuit. With the adjustable spaghetti straps it can fit a number of height ranges comfortably as well. My purchase: I fluctuate between a small and medium sizing, and I purchased a small and it fits perfectly. I average 120-125 pounds, 34B bust, 5'3" tall, and have a pear shape figure. It's a cheeky fit as designed but can be modified with the drawstrings. The bust coverage was good and there's a banded lining inside for a little extra support - though not as much as a bra or swimsuit with underwire. The only drawback is the removable padding in the bust - they use the white circular pads that you can see in some of the lighter fabric options. Consider buying a separate waterproof insert that matches your skin tone. Price: $19.99 at Amazon Color options: 35 Shop It: Amazon What we like: Stretchy, lightweight fabric Pockets Adjustable straps What we don't: Very loose and somewhat shapeless cut I really loved the color and array of options of this Supnier Maxi Dress, and I purchased the Gradient Navy thanks to the gorgeous sunset hues. It has 4.4-stars and over 14,000 company ratings. I did appreciate the flowy, slick feeling of the dress; it was soft, and the color was lovely. The fabric was thin, so I had planned to use it as a swimsuit cover rather than a dress I would wear going out. Unfortunately, it was quite large and so it veered towards shapeless on my body type. And since I'm under 5'3' tall, it was long. I tested out tying a knot near the bottom of the dress as seen in some of the sample images, but it just made it awkward to walk. Price: $31.99 at Amazon Color options: 25 Shop It: Amazon What we like: One piece that functions as a bikini Adjustable spaghetti strap High waist (it falls right under the belly button) Removable pads, double-layered lining What we don't: It's not super stretchy, so sizing is important I'm taking this polka dotted Meyeeka lace-up swimsuit with me on vacation as well this summer, and I can't wait. It's an fascinating combination of bikini and one-piece swimsuit, with a little belly and back exposed. I purchased a medium which fit snugly, I definitely could not have sized down with this swimsuit. The top has a lace-up lattice-style back, so you can tighten or loosen as needed. These have a high-waisted cheeky bottom, so if you don't like a little bit of your butt to be exposed, you may want to pass on these. There is also a great assortment of color options. The fabric isn't as stretchy as other swimsuits – so while you swim, you may not see the same waterlogged sagging as other brands, but it also means it will run a little tighter. I suggest sizing up, especially if you're in between sizes or if you have a larger bust size. Price: $30.99 at Amazon Color options: 36 Shop It: Amazon What we like: Two-piece mix-and-match tankini Modest high-waisted ruched bottom Double-layered ruffled top Removable padding Adjustable straps What we don't: Top may feel slightly over-padded for small busts I purchased this in the red top and polka dot bottom combination, but I absolutely love the Red Palm sunset colors in this ruffled tank high-waisted bikini set. It's comfortable, flattering for most body types, and you won't feel exposed as you sunbathe in your lounge chair. The ruched bottoms offer some tummy control, and the modest cut won't have you discretely tugging it as you stand up. The ruffled top comes down over my belly button and flutters around the waistline of the bottoms, offering a little extra coverage while splashing in the sun. The only downside is that the plain bottoms may sometimes have that 'diaper' appearance, especially if they are slightly too big. I wish you could mix and match the top and bottom sizes in these sets. Price: $29.99, was $42.99 at Amazon Color options: 13 Shop It: Amazon What we like: Ruched tummy control one-piece Full coverage swim bottom Metal buckle back strap Double-lined material Removable padding Adjustable straps What we don't: Needs more color options The Charmo One-Piece swimsuit is one of my go-to favorites. I admittedly bought it last season (in blue) and it's comfortable, flattering, and easy to slip on. There's no crazy straps that go every way but the right way. Overall, it's a traditionally beautiful and comfortable one-piece swimsuit that is flattering for all kinds of body types. I have a pear-shaped body type, and some of the tummy control ruched fabric provides a flattering mirage that tightens everything together. The only thing I wish this swimsuit offered was more colors and pattern options. The solids are a 'solid' choice, but if there were a few more fun fluorescent colors, I'd be even happier with this purchase. Omdia: Flexible AMOLED Displays Power 57% of Global Smartphone Shipments
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flexible AMOLED displays are fast becoming the dominant display technology in smartphones, according to Omdia's latest Smartphone Model Market Tracker. In Q1 2025, AMOLED-equipped smartphones accounted for 63% of total global shipments in the first quarter, up from 57% in the same period last year. In contrast, LCD-based smartphones dropped to 37%, continuing their steady decline. The surge in AMOLED adoption is being driven primarily by flexible AMOLED panels with Chinese panel makers expanding production at pace. Omdia's Smartphone Display Supply Chain Database shows that AMOLED panel shipments from Chinese manufacturers reached 364 million units last year - an increase of more than 120 million units compared to 2023. Apple and Samsung continue to lead in AMOLED adoption, with Apple reaching 100% and Samsung 84% in Q1 2025. Apple phased out all LCD-based models by the end of 2024 with the iPhone SE (3rd generation) being the last one. While Chinese smartphone vendors are steadily increasing their AMOLED adoption, their overall AMOLED penetration rate remains below 50%, largely due to the continued focus on lower-priced models. Smartphone shipments featuring flexible AMOLED displays reached 151 million units in Q1 2025, representing a 15% year-on-year (YoY) growth. This category, which includes foldable display, has maintained consistent annual growth in the mid-20% range over the past three years. Full-year shipments rose to 566 million units in 2024, up from 442 million units in 2023. Meanwhile, rigid AMOLED displays are rapidly losing ground. Shipments fell by 1% YoY in Q1 2025 to just 36 million units, with Samsung accounting for most of this volume. Previously adopted by vendors such as Oppo, vivo, and Xiaomi for mid-range offerings, rigid AMOLEDs have largely been phased out as manufactures pivot toward flexible AMOLEDs, driven by expanding supply and more competitive pricing from Chinese panel suppliers. The growing availability of AMOLED panels has also enabled the technology to reach more affordable price tiers. The average selling price (ASP) of AMOLED smartphones dropped to $510 in Q1 2025. While LCD panels still dominate the ultra-low-end segment under $100 due to their lower cost, AMOLED adoption is accelerating in smartphones priced below $200. 'AMOLED is now firmly establishing itself as the mainstream display technology in smartphones,' said Jusy Hong, Senior Research Manager at Omdia. 'Omdia expects AMOLED's share of global smartphone shipments to exceed 60% this year, with total shipments projected to exceed 750 million units by the end of 2025.'
