Moroccan police thwart 'dangerous terrorist act', arrest 12

ALBAWABA - Moroccan security services announced the arrest of 12 people amid accusations of planning to carry out a "very dangerous terrorist act" in the country, The General Directorate for National Security stated on Wednesday. Also Read Morocco is in the center of a serious bombing terror plot
The statement also read that the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations was able to thwart a very dangerous terrorist plot targeting Morocco, with direct orders and incitement from a prominent leader of the ISIS organization in the African Sahel region.
Local media added that the security operation was carried out simultaneously in the cities of Laayoune, Casablanca, Fez, Taounate, Tangier, Azemmour, Guercif, Ouled Tayma and Tamesna on the outskirts of Rabat, and resulted in the arrest of 12 extremists aged between 18 and 40, who pledged allegiance to the terrorist organization ISIS and were involved in preparing and coordinating the implementation of dangerous terrorist projects.

Ongoing Security Operations Turkish security forces regularly conduct operations targeting individuals affiliated with banned organizations classified as terrorist groups, particularly ISIS and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). In recent years, Turkish authorities have successfully apprehended numerous members of such organizations, including senior figures and individuals involved in attacks and bombings in both Syria and Turkey.
