Paul Geaney owns a pub in the coastal town and summed up the merry occasion they savoured every minute of across the evening.
The now three-time All-Ireland winner hailed: "We're out in Dingle tonight. A few weeks ago David asked ye all to come out and back and ye did."
As the camera panned over the whole street the 34-year-old went on to compare it to New Year's Eve such was the turn-out.
He added: "This is unbelievable to be a part of. It's probably the best we've ever seen for Kerry and emotional but we're enjoying every minute of it."

The instance he referenced about talisman David Clifford imploring their supporters to make a mockery of the stereotypical image of the county's fanbase being a bit lazier than the likes of Armagh or Tyrone came
Looking ahead to returning to Croke Park for another year, the 26-year-old outlined: 'I'd like to call for our supporters to get behind us. I'm not sure they realise the impact they can have on us in Croke Park.
"When we hear that Kerry crowd behind you it's worth five and six points to you in a game.'
So it proved as while their 2024 semi-final saw their followers vastly outnumbered by those in orange, there was a noticeably bigger Kerry presence among the crowd as they exacted revenge on Armagh.

The question mark hanging over their 2026 tilt for number 40 is whether Jack 0'Connor can be tempted to stick around for another year.
He's given mixed messages since he led them to the promised land for the fifth time as it's clear he's not going to make any rash decisions.
Immediately post-match he said: 'I think I was on record earlier in the year that it would probably be my last hurrah, do you know, so. I don't want to be telling ye lads before I tell anyone else.
'There's a lot more people down the corridor. Look, we'll do that in due course. There's no hurry.

Player of the Match award for Louth's Céire Nolan and an All-Ireland medal...there are no better days

Covering every blade of grass, from one end of Croke Park to the other, defending when it mattered, involved in so much of Louth's attacks and getting on the scoresheet herself for good measure, the St Fechins club player was outstanding in the final, from first whistle to the final hooter – no other player came near her on the day. 'This is what dreams are made of,' Nolan told Louth local journalists after the game. 'We come to Croke Park and every day in Croke Park is an unbelievable day but this just tops it off. After the work we've put in all year, this group of girls, we've worked so hard and we are so happy that we got to showcase what we have been working on all year.' It certainly wasn't easy for Louth who gave away an early goal, got their way back into the game, built up a five-point lead, when Antrim went a long time without a score before they finished strongly and Louth had to defend like Trojans in the last couple of minutes, but they were deserved winners in the end. 'We know things can go wrong, that's Gaelic football, but we've talked all year about being resilient and not letting things get to us, so we just stick to the plan, work hard,' said the St Fechins club player. 'Credit where credit is due though, our defenders, our midfield, forward line, everyone, everyone got back to help. 'We're a team and we work for each other and we're not saying you have to do this, it's everyone works together and for each other and I think it showed out there come the end of the match that we really did.' And her own role within this team…Nolan was everywhere. Listed to start at corner-forward, she likes dropping back, running forward, starting and getting on the end of moves, is she possibly Louth most versatile player? 'I like to run a bit,' Nolan laughed before continuing, 'But look, it's different. Last year I was defending so this is a different type of role but I'm really enjoying it. 'Just being able to contribute more to the kind of forward play, attacking play experiment with what I can do.' When Louth got a run on Antrim in the second half and they struggled to create chances while Louth opened up a five-point point lead, did Nolan think at that stage that it was a done deal? 'I didn't think at any point it was over,' she said. 'We had a period there near the end when we were struggling to get the kickouts away and I think, you try not to look up at the clock because the time nearly goes slower as you look up at it, but, we're confident in our system. 'We know how to play our system and once we stick with that, we knew we could get over the line.' In terms of Nolan's own game and herself, the St Fechins player has been on a personal journey in terms of injuries. With two ACL (Anterior cruciate ligament) injuries Nolan has fought her way back on what was a difficult journey. 'One ACL is bad enough but both legs is worse,' she laughed. 'Look, it's hard, it is, but I always knew that I always wanted to get back playing with Louth and that was kind of the end goal. "So I just worked through it and I was lucky enough the management always let me stick around with the girls and the support from all the girls was great. "We had Mia Duffy come back (from an ACL), Eilish (Hand) came back from an ACL as well so look, it's a terrible injury but when you have a group of girls like our girls surrounding you it's made that much easier.' And today makes it all worthwhile? 'Oh absolutely, days like this are the best days, you never forget them.'

Rory Gaffney scores twice to send Shamrock Rovers 10 points clear at top of table

Premier Division: Shamrock Rovers 2 (Gaffney 47, 65) Derry City 0 A brace of goals, the second a terrific strike, from in-form Rory Gaffney heaped frustration on Derry City at Tallaght Stadium as Shamrock Rovers edged closer to a fifth title in six years. With 10 games now remaining, Stephen Bradley's side are 10 points clear of second-placed Bohemians and 11 ahead of Derry, who have now not beaten Rovers in 10 games stretching back to March 2023. A record extending 22nd League of Ireland championship is now all but Rovers' to lose. The big result was just the tonic Rovers would have wanted as they now travel to Kosovo to meet FC Ballkani in the first leg of their Conference League third round tie this week. Rovers head coach Bradley rotated his squad once again with five changes from the 0-0 draw with St Joseph's last Thursday. READ MORE And they enjoyed promising early possession here, troubling the Derry defence twice in quick succession nine minutes in. First Gaffney did well to set up ex-Derry midfielder Aaron McEneff who should have done better than shoot over the top. Seconds later, skipper Roberto Lopes's route-one ball over the top dropped for Gaffney who spun visiting captain Mark Connolly, cut across Alex Bannon to rifle narrowly wide. Having survived, Derry, who gave a debut to new signing Jamie Stott in defence, responded to cut Rovers open a trifle too easily on 12 minutes. Sadou Diallo's delightful chip in behind found the clever run of Michael Duffy whose shot beat Ed McGinty with Rovers relieved to see the ball come back off a post. Duffy then skilfully ghosted between Rovers' experienced defenders Lopes and Dan Clary on 28 minutes to shoot wide across goal. And there was another scare for Rovers five minutes before the interval. Duffy again was involved, feeding impressive wingback Brandon Fleming who nipped past Lopes to get his shot away which required a frantic clearance a yard from goal by Lee Grace. Rory Gaffney scores the second goal of the game. Photograph: Ryan Byrne/INPHO Second best in the first half, Rovers came out with added impetus for the restart and were ahead inside two minutes. Danny Mandroiu flicked on Grace's ball down the left for Josh Honohan who skipped away to cross and give Gaffney a simple tap-in. In their groove now, Rovers were close to doubling their lead in the following minutes. Having come in for his debut at half-time, new loan signing Connor Malley shaved the crossbar. Then Honohan really should have scored but contrived to shoot wide dead in front of goal from Mandroiu's cross. Gaffney would make no such mistake on 65 minutes. Powering away down the right on to Dylan Watts' ball, the veteran front-runner cut inside Bannon before driving a shot past Brian Maher to the far corner of the net. It marked the 35-year-old Tuam striker's fifth goal in his last six games; his eighth league goal of the campaign and 10th in total for the season. Derry's bad night in Dublin 24 was compounded on 80 minutes when defender Bannon was dismissed for a foul on Honohan, his second yellow card. St Patrick's Athletic had the ideal fillip ahead of their Conference League meeting with Turkish side Besiktas with a 2-0 away to Waterford to leapfrog them back up to sixth place. Kian Leavy threaded a perfectly weighted through pass for the run of 17-year-old Tottenham-bound Mason Melia who slipped the ball confidently past Stephen McMullan for an 18th minute lead. Substitute Conor Carty sealed the points on 84 minutes when shooting home Brandon Kavanagh's corner. On Saturday, champions Shelbourne warmed up for their Europa League trip to Croatia with a 2-0 win at in-form Sligo Rovers to move to within four points of Bohemians, whom they meet at Tolka Park next Saturday. A fine solo goal from Ali Coote put Joey O'Brien's side into a 47th minute lead. Sean Boyd, who hadn't scored in the league since hitting a brace on the opening night of the campaign, was sprung from the bench to add the second goal on 77 minutes. Sligo finished the game with 10 men after goalkeeper Sam Sargeant was sent off for handling the ball outside his box.
