PSG are through to the semifinals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after a dramatic win over Bayern Munich on Saturday in Atlanta. The first half was tight and tense, with neither side able to find the net, but the match burst into life late in the second half.
Désiré Doué finally broke the deadlock in the 78th minute to put PSG in front. Things quickly spiraled, as the French side were reduced to nine men after two red cards. Even so, they stood their ground—and incredibly, managed to add a second goal to seal the victory.

Ousmane Dembélé scored with his first touch, finishing off a dazzling solo run by Achraf Hakimi, who danced through Bayern's defense before delivering a perfect cutback.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid edged Borussia Dortmund in a thrilling 3-2 battle. The Spanish side are also through to the semifinals, but not without a few nervy moments along the way.
Will Kylian Mbappé start for Real Madrid against PSG?Ahead of the semifinal clash between the two sides, MARCA's Raúl Varela believes that Kylian Mbappé will want to start the match against his former club. During this competition, the Frenchman has come off the bench, but for this match he might want to play the full 90.

'I think that Mbappé, whether he's bad, good or average, has to play all the time,' Varela said. 'It's not just any game, because it's a different story that the semifinal match was against Bayern, but with the amount of unfinished business that Mbappé has with PSG… Not playing Mbappé means keeping him sulking until Christmas and Xabi Alonso can't allow that.'

FIFA Club World Cup: PSG hit 4 past Real to make it to the finals

Paris Saint-Germain show no mercy on Real Madrid as they score 4 against them in the semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 (new format). By Ravi Kumar Jha Published on July 10, 2025, 08:17 IST Paris Saint-Germain show no mercy on Real Madrid as they score 4 against them in the semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 (new format). The game was pretty one-sided and PSG deserved this victory. Madrid under Xabi Alonso tasted their first defeat and it was disappointing. Madrid couldn't even score a single goal in the game and made two mistakes which led to PSG's first two goals inside first 10 minutes. Now, PSG will face Chelsea in the final of the competition. Paris Saint-Germain put on a dominant display as they thrashed Real Madrid 4-0 in the semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, underlining their intent to claim the prestigious title in the tournament's new format. The match, played in front of a packed crowd, was one-sided from start to finish. PSG struck early, punishing two defensive blunders by Madrid within the first ten minutes to take a commanding lead. The Spanish giants, managed by Xabi Alonso, looked out of sorts and struggled to recover from the early setback. With quick passing, relentless pressing, and clinical finishing, PSG showed no mercy. The Parisians controlled possession, dictated the tempo, and added two more goals to seal a comprehensive 4-0 win. Real Madrid, who had remained unbeaten under Alonso until this match, failed to register a single goal and looked uncharacteristically toothless in attack. Rays slugger Junior Caminero to compete in Home Run Derby, start at third base in All-Star Game

Rays slugger Junior Caminero announced Wednesday that he will take part in the Home Run Derby on Monday night in Atlanta, then learned hours later that he would start at third base for the AL squad in the All-Star Game the following night. In between, Caminero merely belted his 22nd homer of the season in the seventh inning of a 7-3 win in Detroit. Caminero, who turned 22 on July 5, leads all AL third basemen in homers in what has been a breakout season. He is hitting .254 and driven in 58 runs for the Rays, who moved within four games of Toronto in the AL East on Wednesday night. 'I'm going to put on a show. I'm going to try to put on a show just to give the fans the opportunity to get to know me, see my power,' Caminero said. 'Just being there with all those other All-Stars, it's going to be something very special.' Caminero is the sixth player to commit to the Home Run Derby, joining the Mariners' Cal Raleigh, James Wood of the Nationals, Byron Buxton of the Twins, the Pirates' Oneil Cruz and Ronald Acuna Jr. of the hosting Braves. Two more contestants are still to be announced, and Buxton's status is unclear after he was hit in the left hand in Wednesday night's win over the Cubs. Caminero was picked earlier this week as the All-Star replacement for Boston's Alex Bregman, who has been dealing with a strained right quadriceps. He learned he would start at third base after Wednesday night's game after Cleveland's José Ramírez opted out of the Midsummer Classic so that he could rest an ailing Achilles tendon. Astros third baseman Isaac Paredes was chosen to replace Ramírez on the AL roster. The only Rays players besides Caminero to participate in the Home Run Derby have been Evan Longoria, Carlos Pena and Randy Arozarena, who reached the finals two years ago before losing to Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 'We get to see (Caminero) do probably a modified Home Run Derby every time he takes batting practice. I'm excited for him. I'm excited for his family,' Rays manager Kevin Cash said. 'Somewhat of a coming-out party for him. Hopefully, he gets the recognition that we've all seen in the talent and the ability to hit the ball a long way.' ___ AP MLB:
