
Campus Talk: Maharashtra MHT-CET results to be out on June 16
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell will declare the MHT-CET result for admission to undergraduate engineering and pharmacy courses on June 16. The state CET Cell has announced the tentative dates of results for various CETs.
Results have already been declared for admission to 12 professional courses in Maharashtra at undergraduate and postgraduate levels out of the total 18 CETs conducted by the state CET Cell. Results for the remaining six courses are expected to be out between June 4 and June 17, as per the tentative dates declared by the Maharashtra CET Cell. (see box)
As per the notification released on Monday, the MHT-CET 2025 result for PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) groups is expected to be out on June 16.
MHT-CET was held in two phases: PCB from April 9–17 and PCM from April 19–May 5. Over 2.8 lakh candidates had appeared for the PCB group exam, while over 4.2 lakh took the PCM exam.
As many as 40 questions were found to be erroneous across 28 sessions of the computer-based MHT-CET exam. The CET Cell has already declared that this will be taken into consideration during the evaluation of the papers.
Other prominent CETs include those for five and three-year LLB courses, which will be out on June 4 and June 17, respectively. Approximately a little over a lakh candidates appeared for the two entrance tests combined. All students who have cleared Class XII are eligible to apply for the LLB five-year course, whereas only graduates can apply for the three-year course.
The CET results for admissions to B.BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM are expected on June 4. This is only the second year after the Maharashtra government introduced CET for admission to these courses last year. This decision was taken after they were brought under the purview of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Objection tracker available for LLB entrance exam candidates
Pune: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released 'Objection Tracker' for LLB three-year pre-entrance exam on its official candidate login portal at The tool allows candidates to raise objections regarding the question-answer keys provided in the exam. The window for submitting objections is open till May 30, according to officials. As per the information given by the CET cell, for the academic year 2025-26, candidates can access the 'Objection Tracker' through the official website and view question paper, submitted responses, and the official answer key. For each objection submitted, candidates are required to pay online fee of ₹1,000 per question. The feedback provided by experts will be considered final and binding.

VACB registers disproportionate asset case against civil police officer in Ernakulam
KOCHI: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) on Wednesday registered a case against a civil police officer (CPO) for allegedly amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. The accused, Jomon V G, 45, a native of Puthupariyaram, Manakkadu in Idukki, is currently posted at the Njarakkal police station. The case was registered following an investigation launched by the VACB Special Cell (Central Zone) while he was serving at Vazhakulam police station in Ernakulam. Based on a tip-off, the VACB initiated a verification of his financial records. A preliminary inquiry revealed that Jomon had acquired assets worth Rs 67.03 lakh, out of which Rs 10.23 lakh was found to be disproportionate to his known sources of income. Following the registration of a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, a VACB team under SP P A Muhammad Arif conducted a raid at Jomon's residence on Wednesday. During the search, the team seized 13 documents, Rs 25,000 in cash, and two bank locker keys. The seized materials will be scrutinised as part of the ongoing investigation. VACB officials said the accused will be summoned soon for detailed interrogation. This is the third case of wealth amassment registered by VACB Special Cell (Central Zone) against government officials in the district this month.
