Calvary Day rolls, others advance in Region 3-AAA
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Tuesday marked the quarterfinals of Region 3-AAA, with several teams advancing to the semifinals.
Both the Calvary Day Boys and Girls advanced into the semifinals. The Boys with a dominant 77-23 victory over Islands, and the girls defeated long County 67-40.
Beach High's Boys team has also punched its ticket to the next round. The Bulldogs defeated Long County in a 55-50 overtime thriller.
The Bulldogs Girls fell short of the next round after they fell to Windsor Forest 57-33.
Both the Jenkins High Boys and Girls teams also advanced to the semifinals. The boys with a 45-36 win over Liberty County, and the girls defeated Groves 59-25.

Former MLB umpire Ted Barrett discusses career and future of baseball

The often maligned profession has its share of haters but there are a few select of people who love the game to take up the task. Friday, Ted Barrett, joined the show to speak about the game, his humble beginnings, and what it was like to be in some of the biggest moments in baseball history.
