Trish Stratus challenged Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship at last night's Evolution premium live event. Although the WWE Hall of Famer came up short in her effort, she received a standing ovation from the Atlanta crowd after the match.
This was Stratus's first singles match since she faced Becky Lynch in a steel cage at Payback in September 2023. In a post-show press conference, Stratus gave an emotional and uncertain update on her future in the ring.
Is This The Last WWE Time For Trish Stratus?
During the WWE Evolution post-show media scrum, Trish Stratus was asked about her future. She admitted that she thinks about whether each match could be her last.
"I have that thought like, 'Is this the last time? It could be,'" Stratus said (H/T to Fightful). "The WWE Universe has been so wonderful to me and so supportive. I just feel so blessed to dip my toes into the current landscape."
She reflected on how much the business has changed since her debut 25 years ago. She expressed gratitude for being able to compete with the current generation of stars.
Building The Skyscraper
Stratus specifically mentioned her pride in the foundation she and her contemporaries built for women's wrestling. She named fellow legends Ivory, Jacqueline, Lita, and Mickie James as part of that core group.
"We built the foundation that they built a skyscraper on," she explained. "Now that I get to comeback and dip into that skyscraper, I feel blessed."

She also admitted to having self-doubt before facing today's top talent. "I always have the worry, 'I have to make sure I can hang with these girls,'" she said. Stratus wants to prove that there is no "expiration date" on a performer's career until they decide it is over.

What's Next For The WWE Hall Of Famer?
While her comments were reflective, Stratus did not say she was retiring. Her final comment suggested that she may have more planned for this current run.
When asked if she would be back in the ring again, she replied, "It's my 25th year. Let's make it a good one."
This was Stratus's second match of 2025. She previously teamed with her opponent, Tiffany Stratton, at the Elimination Chamber event in February. Their partnership eventually soured, leading to their championship showdown at Evolution.

WWE star Chelsea Green leaves social media after fallout over Hulk Hogan tribute
WWE star Chelsea Green is taking a break from social media after she faced a wave of backlash for honoring the late Hulk Hogan following his death. Hours after Hogan died July 24 at 71, the 34-year-old Canadian wrestler appeared on CBS News' 24/7 show to pay her respects, calling him an 'absolute icon' while acknowledging his 'polarizing political views.' Many fans appeared to interpret her comments as 'dismissive' of the WWE icon's divisive politics and the scandal over his use of racist language. 'I've tried to keep my page positive and comedic, but today, a lot changed… and it hit harder than I expected,' Green said on X the next day. 'The name calling, the death threats, the faceless accounts. Social media was supposed to be a fun place and it hasn't been for a while,' she added. 'It's been overwhelming and I need to step away for a little bit.' She had initially addressed her remarks on Hogan, affirming her stance on racism is 'unwavering. I do not condone it—period.' She explained that 'a significant part of my role at @WWE involves engaging w the public & responding to questions, often on live platforms.' 'If my response (or tweet) seemed dismissive of real concerns, I sincerely apologize,' Green said. 'That was never my intention. I tried to acknowledge a death respectfully, even when the legacy is complicated. I am learning one day at a time and will continue to learn.' Years before his sudden death, Hogan had been involved in one of his biggest controversies: the release of his 2006 sex tape by gossip blog Gawker. The footage, published in 2012, proved troublesome not only because it revealed his extramarital affair with Heather Clem — the wife of his then-best friend, radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge — but also because it captured Hogan making a string of racist comments about his daughter dating a Black man. He was consequently dropped by WWE over his remarks. Hogan later issued a public apology, insisting: 'This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs.' In recent months, Hogan had also become known for his controversial allegiance to President Donald Trump. He famously joined Trump on his 2024 presidential campaign, even speaking at the Republican National Convention, where he performed his popular shirt-shredding stunt. Trump led MAGA tributes to the wrestling legend on Truth Social, writing: 'We lost a great friend today, the 'Hulkster.' Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart.'

Hulk Hogan's Son Nick Breaks His Silence on Dad's Death, Details His Final Years: 'Thank You for Being My Best Friend'
The former pro-wrestling superstar was 71 when he died on Thursday, July 24 Nick Hogan is remembering his father Hulk Hogan as both his "best friend" and the "best dad in the world." On Saturday, July 26, the 35-year-old son of the late pro-wrestling star shared an emotional tribute to Instagram, two days after Hulk died at the age of 71. Alongside 20 photos of himself and his father, Nick posted a lengthy caption, thanking those who've reached out to him and calling Hulk's death "overwhelming and extremely difficult." "Hearing so many kind words and stories about my dad's life, interactions and experiences with everyone has been incredible and comforting," Nick wrote. "My dad was the most incredible person I've ever known and will always be my hero. He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for. I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world." "He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend. He always has been my best friend and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain," he continued. "I thanked him for everything he has ever done for me and told him how much I loved him and hugged him every chance I got. I spent a lot of time with him the past few years after moving back to Florida to be closer to him and I am so grateful for those memories. They are the best moments in my life." Nick concluded his tribute by writing that he'd "do anything to have him back," before acknowledging Hulk is now "watching over" him. "I will always remember the lessons and advice he gave me and carry on in a way that I know would make him proud," he wrote. "Thank you for being the best dad in the world and thank you for being my best friend. I love you so much Big Dog and I will miss you forever." The emotional tribute featured photos of Nick and Hulk spanning three decades — from a screenshot of a WWE broadcast featuring the father-son duo wearing matching "Hulkamania" attire to a snap of them years later in matching white button-up shirts. In the photos, Nick and Hulk could also be seen working out together at the gym, smiling on a private jet, driving on a road trip and even behind a DJ booth — as the post wrapped with one final photo of Nick showing off his muscles next to his father. Several fans and friends shared their condolences with Nick in the post's comments section, with professional wrestler Nattie Neidhart recognizing his "beautiful words" and Lil Jon sharing some additional love. Nick's last post on the platform came just over a month prior to his father's death, when he wished Hulk a happy Father's Day, alongside a throwback snap of the duo striking a pose when he was a kid. The WWE confirmed the news of Hulk's death on Thursday in a statement shared with PEOPLE. First responders spent 30 minutes attempting to revive Hogan this week after being called to his home for a reported cardiac arrest at 9:51 a.m. on Thursday, before he was pronounced dead at a hospital. Beyond his accomplishments in wrestling throughout his lifetime, Hogan also faced multiple controversies in recent years, including backlash for his support of President Donald Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention and a racist rant leaked in 2015 — which he later called "unacceptable" in an apology. Hulk, whose real name was Terry Bollea, shared both Nick and daughter Brooke with ex Linda Hogan, whom he was married to from 1983 until 2009. His wife, Sky Daily, also posted a tribute to the reality television star after his death this week, confirming that he 'had been dealing with" health issues. 'I wasn't ready for this…and my heart is in pieces,' Daily, his third wife, wrote on Friday. 'He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.' 'This loss is sudden and impossible to process,' she added. 'To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.' Read the original article on People

Nashua's Triple H pays tribute to Hulk Hogan after WWE legend dies. What he said.
Famous wrestler and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) executive Triple H spoke out recently after Hulk Hogan's passing. The 71-year-old professional wrestling legend, whose real name was Terry Bollea, died on July 24, 2025, and many public figures have memorialized the late athletic entertainer, including Paul Levesque, the chief content officer of the WWE, also known as Triple H. Levesque, born and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire, made a post on Instagram honoring Bollea's legacy as a WWE superstar. "WWE would not be where it is today without the larger-than-life characters that compete in the ring … and few, if any, loomed larger than Terry 'Hulk Hogan' Bollea," Levesque said. Here's what else Levesque said about Bollea. Triple H on Hulk Hogan's passing Levesque, like Bollea, was also a popular wrestler in the WWE and remembered one moment he shared with the departed wrestler in the Instagram post, posting a 2002 photo of himself and Bollea in a wrestling ring as well as a series of photos of Bollea as Hulk Hogan. "He was the archetype of what it meant to be a 'Superstar' - a global sensation that inspired millions to work hard at whatever it was they wanted to accomplish and a look that made him recognizable to fans around the world," Levesque said. Bollea was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, the first time in 2005 by Sylvester Stallone as Hulk Hogan, and the second time as "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan as part of the New World Order, a wrestling faction Bollea formed with Kevin Nash and the late Scott Hall. "Hulk Hogan, clad in red and yellow or nWo black and white, was simply put, iconic," Levesque said. "As a Real American or the leader of one of the industry's biggest factions, he transcended and elevated the entire business to heights never before seen - in every country and on every continent." The WWE executive went on to say that his family gives their condolences to the Bollea family as well as friends and fans of the deceased entertainer. Rin Velasco is a trending reporter.
