Prince William appears to take dig at brother Prince Harry in rare family comment

Blood isn't always thicker than water. Prince William appeared to take a subtle dig at Prince Harry during a royal outing to the regiment once associated with his younger brother. The incident unfolded on Wednesday, June 4, when the 42-year-old heir apparent visited the Army Air Corps (ACC) in Wattisham, Suffolk. 8 Prince William appeared to throw a subtle jab at Prince Harry during a visit to the Army Air Corps in Wattisham, Suffolk, on Wednesday. Getty Images 8 William and Harry have been feuding since the Duke of Sussex quit his royal duties back in 2020. DPPA/Sipa USA It marked William's first time touring the regiment since becoming the colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps, and he made a rare comment about family while taking a water break with a group of British soldiers. 'Is the pace of life good at the moment?' the Prince of Wales asked, according to Daily Mail. 'Families okay? See you enough?' William continued after one soldier said it was 'a mixed bag.' 8 The Prince of Wales compared family to a 'mixed bag.' Getty Images 'Some of them might not want to see you that much,' the prince added. 'It's a mixed bag sometimes.' While it is unclear if William's comment was a veiled dig at his estranged brother, the remark came at an interesting time amid his ongoing feud with Harry and Meghan Markle. William took charge of Harry's former regiment when King Charles named his oldest son colonel-in-chief of the ACC in May 2024. 8 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex 'stepped back' from their royal duties in January 2020. Instagram/@meghan The Duke of Sussex, 40, trained as an ACC pilot in 2009 and later served with the British Army's combat aviation arm in 2012 and 2013 during his second tour of Afghanistan. Plus, it is believed that Charles, 76, would have named Harry the Colonel-in-Chief of the ACC if he and his wife had not 'stepped back' from their royal duties in January 2020. Harry and William's feud goes beyond the older brother's new title. 8 William and Harry were last seen interacting during Queen Elizabeth's funeral in September 2022. The royal rift peaked after Harry and Markle, 43, spoke out against Buckingham Palace during their infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021. It then continued with the couple's 'Harry & Meghan' Netflix docuseries in December 2022, as well as with Harry's memoir 'Spare' in January 2023. 'The underlying issue is trust,' an insider told People on Tuesday regarding the royal family's feud. 'The King and William don't trust Harry and Meghan with any kind of confidential conversation.' 8 'The King and William don't trust Harry and Meghan with any kind of confidential conversation,' a royal insider said this week. Although the brothers were both at their father's coronation when he officially ascended to the throne in May 2023, they reportedly avoided one another. Then, in August 2024, William and Harry were said to have 'kept their distance' once again while attending a memorial service in Norfolk for their late uncle, Robert Fellowes. 8 William and Harry allegedly avoided one another at King Charles' coronation in May 2023. Getty Images for the Invictus Games Foundation 'William and Harry were both there,' a witness told The Sun after the service, 'but we never saw them speak to each other and they were keeping their distance.' As for King Charles and Prince Harry, it is said to be 'extremely unlikely' that the pair will reconcile anytime soon, even as the monarch suffers from an undisclosed form of cancer. 'Prince Harry is the king's flesh and blood, so of course he would like some sort of reconciliation with his youngest son,' Helena Chard, a British broadcaster, told Fox News Digital before Charles' trip to Canada last week. 'However, it's been over five years since Megxit, and still, Prince Harry is full of animosity,' she added. 'Prince Harry has blown all trust and any reconciliation with his father and the royal family for the moment.'

Jessie J, 37, reveals she has breast cancer — she's part of a growing number of women diagnosed in their 30s

Jessie J has been diagnosed with 'early" breast cancer. The British singer shared the news on Tuesday in a video posted to Instagram, where she announced plans to undergo surgery later this month. 'Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word 'early,'' she said, adding that she had been 'in and out of tests' recently. The 'Price Tag' singer, who has a 2-year-old son with her partner Chanan Safir Colman, said she wanted to share her diagnosis because she's 'not processing it' due to her busy schedule. "It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job,' she joked. 'I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music.' At 37, Jessie J is part of a growing number of women in their 30s who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jessie J (@jessiej) Bachelorette star Katie Thurston was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer after discovering a lump in her breast in late 2024. The 34-year-old announced in March 2025 that the cancer had spread to her liver. Having breast cancer in your 30s is something Robyn Goldman is intimately familiar with. The Ajax, Ont. native was just 33 when she was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, a form of breast cancer in which cancer cells don't have the hormone receptors to grow. Although she wasn't formally diagnosed until October 2021, she said she knew for more than a year that it could be cancer — and was fighting to get the care she knew she needed from doctors. "The lump was obvious," she previously toldYahoo Canada, adding that it was even visible through some tight-fitting shirts. "It was alarming, and it didn't feel like the rest of my breast. ... Call it intuition, but I knew exactly what it was. It didn't hurt, it didn't swell, it just felt like a hard marble." Goldman's path to diagnosis was difficult. She first noticed the lump in November 2020 and contacted her doctor for a physical that did not include a breast exam. When she returned to her doctor in September 2021 seeking a referral for a mammogram, she said they dismissed her concerns as having "lumpy breasts." "I felt gaslit by the health-care system," she said. "I was told I was too young and healthy — even a mammogram wasn't offered to me." Less than a week later, Goldman went to a Toronto emergency room where she received an ultrasound and was scheduled for a follow-up appointment for a biopsy in mid-October. "My tumour jumped off the screen," she said. "The inevitable phone call confirmed what my body had been telling me. My only concern leading up to it was how far along the cancer was. Maybe that helped me prepare. I think I had already accepted it." According to the Canadian Cancer Society, around 30,800 people across the country were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024. Five years prior in 2019, there were nearly 21,000 new breast cancer cases across the country, according to Statistics Canada data that excludes Quebec. Despite traditional breast cancer awareness efforts being directed towards women in their 50s, recent data reports a significant increase in cases for women in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Some hospitals have also seen a rise in younger patients; North York General Hospital surgical oncologist Dr. Brian Pinchuk said he's seen an increase in patients, particularly those who are under age 50, he told CTV News. Although some provinces, such as British Columbia, Ontario and New Brunswick, allow women to self-refer themselves for breast cancer screening, others limit access to publicly funded mammograms to women aged 50 and over. The existing guidelines make it difficult for women under 40, like Goldman, to access mammograms. "I'm angry because I feel our system is ignorant and not willing to act preventatively," she said. "However, you have to change the framework before expecting changes. I'm furious at [my doctor], but she was just doing her job based on what the government tells her to do." As a woman in her 30s, Goldman was hoping to explore her fertility options before beginning chemotherapy. High doses of chemotherapy drugs can cause permanent fertility changes and studies report female cancer survivors' chances of becoming pregnant are "40 per cent lower compared to women of the same age." "At the hospital where I was initially diagnosed, fertility wasn't even mentioned, let alone included in my treatment plan," she said. In November 2021, Goldman decided to switch hospitals for treatment. "One one of the first things brought up was fertility. I was told that chemotherapy will certainly put me in medically-induced menopause." Goldman's new physician encouraged her to look into freezing her eggs as "an insurance policy" if she chose to have children. Although her team of fertility doctors had hoped to preserve 12 to 15 eggs, only nine were retrieved before Goldman began treatment. Goldman says her fertility clinic contacted her oncologist asking to push her chemotherapy date by a week to try and retrieve more eggs — but was told no. The urgency made Goldman even more aware of the severity of her illness: "If I had waited a year to get diagnosed, would I even be alive?" Now in her second year of remission, Goldman says she feels "good and healthy," but the toll cancer took on her body is evident. "I get more fatigued and probably don't have the stamina I used to, but being active helped during my journey." Her one message for young women? "Listen to your body. Listen to that intuition and advocate for yourself because nobody's going to fight harder for you than you," she says. "You have nothing to lose."

Watch: Meghan twerks while pregnant in video celebrating Princess Lilibet's birthday

Credit: Instagram/Meghan The Duchess of Sussex has released a video of herself twerking while pregnant with Princess Lilibet to celebrate her daughter's fourth birthday. The Duchess, 43, can be seen performing the dance move, which involves hip-thrusting while in a squat position, with her husband in hospital while waiting to give birth to their daughter, who is seventh in line to the British throne. In the Instagram caption, Meghan said that she was using the dance technique to induce birth, which she revealed was a week late, for both Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie, six. She explained: 'Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates... so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!' In the video, Meghan can be seen cradling her stomach before looking over at the Duke of Sussex and starting to dance to Baby Mama Dance by Mic Drop Mama. The song, which includes the lyrics 'drop it down, drop it down down low', was the focus of a TikTok trend where pregnant women showcased their dance moves at 39 weeks (nine months). It is not confirmed that dance moves such as twerking induce labour, but some induction tips will include being as mobile as possible. On NHS Lothian's website advising women what they can do while having an induction, it states: 'Walking, dancing, swaying, squatting and using a birth ball all help to keep you mobile and active, which can help your labour to establish.' While the Duchess did not make clear her reason for sharing the video, it marked the third post she made on Instagram in celebration of Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday. The other posts included new family photos of her daughter, who has rarely been pictured facing the camera in recent years. The posts included a black and white picture of herself holding her daughter on what appears to be a boat as well as shots of the Duke walking hand-in-hand with his daughter. Meghan wrote: 'Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it. 'Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!' In the picture, Princess Lilibet's eyes and the top half of her face can be seen, in a departure from the Duchess's usual rule of only showing the children from the back in order to preserve their privacy. Her decision to share a personal glimpse of the Princess's birth in the dancing video, however, might be thought to be in part an attempt by the Duchess to silence false online conspiracy theories that her children were born by a surrogate. Elsewhere, the Duke can be seen cradling a newborn Lilibet in 2021. Since moving to the US in 2020, the Duke and Duchess have guarded their children's privacy, but the Duchess has increasingly posted photographs of them on her Instagram feed. Last month, she shared previously unseen images of the children in a post to mark the couple's seventh wedding anniversary. In April, the Duke and Duchess called for stronger protections for children online after unveiling a memorial in New York City to young people who lost their lives because of the harmful effects of social media. The couple joined a vigil and met families who believe social media played a part in the deaths of their children. The Duke told BBC Breakfast that 'life is better off social media' and said 'enough is not being done'. He added that he was 'grateful' Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were still too young to be online.
