Uisce Éireann working to repair two burst watermains in Clare coastal areas

Uisce Éireann says the areas affected by the burst watermain include Spanish Point, Mullagh, Creegh, and Cooraclare.
Water service crews have been dispatched and are carrying out the required repair works, with repairs estimated to be completed by 4.30pm this afternoon.
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the network recharges.
A traffic management system is in place to ensure the safety of the crews attempting to resolve the issue.
Uisce Éireann's Water Operations Manager, Darragh Conneely has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water supply fully as quickly as possible.
'We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while repair works continue,' he added.
Updates are available on water.ie, while customers can contact Uisce Éireann directly through their website, social media or their customer care helpline on 1800 278 278.
