It's been a painful year for South African Moto3 rookie rider Ruché Moodley after he sustained another fall and fracture in Italy last Sunday in what many described as a scary crash.
Within the space of four months, Moodley's had surgery twice on his right hand, and sustained three fractures to his right side limbs.
The recent 'scary' crash at Mugello saw him walk away with a fracture to his right shoulder blade.
Moodley went down in the opening lap of the Mugello Grand Prix, and was then struck by some riders following behind him. In moments leading up to the crash, though, the rookie showed positive intent.

The South African teenager had to undergo an MRI scan to confirm if he sustained damage to his spine.
In a recent social media post, Moodley posted an image from his hospital bed in Barcelona, stating that he was in recovery and that he suffered 'a few fractures'.
'Grateful to be here after a scary crash in Mugello last Sunday. I've got a few fractures, but I am in good care. Thank you to my team BOE motorsports, friends, family and medical team for all the care and support. Time to recover,' Moodley said.
In the sessions leading up to the crash, Moodley still looked like he was getting back to his usual pace before the April crash.
There's no denying that the young rider is going to be out for a while following the Mugello wipe-out, and hopefully rehabilitating his right side arm, which has endured severe stress this season.
At the end of April, Moodley fell and crashed in Jerez, Spain and fractured his right radius, causing two other riders to crash well – David Almansa and David Munoz.
A rider's right arm is used to accelerate a motorcycle, and young Moodley's has suffered a great deal this year.

At 45-years-old, Tahir is still a T20 League globetrotter, most notably in the Caribbean Premier League where he captains the champions, Guyana Amazon Warriors. No 3: Nicky Boje 1995-2006 Innings: 179, Overall Wickets: 197, Tests: 100, ODIs: 96, T20s: 1, 5+ wicket hauls: 4 A versatile allrounder who contributed significantly with the bat too, especially in ODI's. The left-arm spinner's crowning moment was during the second Test against India in 2000 when he claimed 5/83 to bowl South Africa to a mammoth innings and 71-run victory. It paved the way for the Proteas' only ever Test series win in India. He was not a particularly big turner off the ball, but was exceptionally accurate. No 5: Tabraiz Shamsi 2016-2025 Innings: 126, Overall Wickets: 168 Tests: 6, ODIs: 73, T20s: 89, 5+ wicket hauls: 2 The left-arm wrist spinner had to wait a lengthy period for his chance while Imran Tahir was in possession of South Africa's specialist spinner's role. Unlike Tahir though, who was fairly conventional, Shamsi possessed a bag of tricks that ultimately saw him succeed his teacher. Primarily a white-ball specialist, and most effective in T20s, Shamsi rose to the No 1 on the ICC rankings in the short format for a period of time. He was eventually handed a Test debut in South Africa's sole pink-ball day-night Test in Australia, but continued to be much-sought after in T20 Leagues around the world.

LOOK: Kaizer Chiefs unveil THREE new signings at FNB Stadium!

Kaizer Chiefs are currently second on the Betway Premiership via goal difference after a perfect start so far this season. Chiefs have won three out of their three games, collecting nine points with three clean sheets in the process. Perhaps what has been most impressive is that, Chiefs have managed this feat with largely the same group as last season. In the previous campaign Amakhosi finished ninth for the second consecutive term. That meant that the Glamour Boys missed out on the ongoing MTN8 again. In an effort to avoid that feat for the third time in a row they have dipped heavily into the current market. Chiefs have announced nine new signings so far, including three who were formerly based abroad. That trio being South African duo Ethan Chislett and Nkanyiso Shinga, alongside former Portugal youth international Flavio Silva. Amakhosi have been able to use three new signings thus far, in Thabiso Monyane, Siphesihle Ndlovu and Paseka Mako. The club was clearly not resting on their laurels after those acquisitions having made three more. Last week, Chiefs announced the signing of former Cape Town Spurs winger Asanele Velebayi on a free. The club confirmed the player has joined on a long-term deal. He was not the only player from the Urban Warriors to join Amakhosi. Former teammate Luke Baartman was also unveiled as a new Glamour Boy. The forwards will start training with their new teammates as soon as their case appeals are cleared. A second player announced by Chiefs on Tuesday was former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro. The Nigerian international joins the club as a free agent. Now at half time of their 1-0 win over Richards Bay, all three of Ighodaro, Velebayi and Baartman were paraded in front of the Amakhosi faithful. Check it out! After the match, Ighodaro, Velebayi and Baartman then celebrated with the Chiefs supporters. Amakhosi how do you feel about your three new signings? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab.
