Wales Bonner's New Adidas Collection Includes The Best Trainers We've Seen Since Sambas
Grace Wales Bonner's influence may be somewhat quieter than some of her fellow fashion designers, but that does not mean it's any less significant. Just last month, the London-based designer made her Met Gala debut, dressing FKA Twigs, Lewis Hamilton and Jeff Goldblum, among others. Now, she is launching the latest instalment in her ongoing partnership with adidas Originals – and the trainers may well sell out even faster than the Sambas included in the last drop of Wales Bonner x adidas.
While previous drops of this collaboration have included Wales Bonner's take on an existing adidas shoe shape, the spring/summer 2025 drop – which launches today – boasts an entirely original new silhouette: the Karintha. Drawing on classic adidas trainers, this pair is available in light brown suede or in brown sequins with the signature adidas stripes as an added detail. Sparkly trainers may not have been on your 2025 wish list but they certainly will be now. Gavi Weiss, Grazia's fashion assistant, tried them on for size and says: 'When I heard the words sequin trainers, my mind conjured images of a glittery pair of Skechers I wore as a child, which is vaguely horrifying. Of course, Wales Bonner is never anything less than super-chic, so I shouldn't be surprised that I fell in love with these shoes on sight. I love them with ankle socks and summer dresses.' 1.

Sure to sell out, buy these sparkly trainers while you still can and wear with everything from short summer dresses to your favourite jeans.
There's also a Wales Bonner spin on adidas Superstars, which come high-topped with a thinner outsole and a suede upper, with the stripes realised as perforated lines. As always, the other accessories are similarly covetable, particularly the two bags in the collection. The socks, too, will undoubtedly sell out super-quickly.
Wales Bonner says she wanted to evoke 'a world where the energy of the city meets the allure of the coast,' which can be seen in the relaxed silhouettes of chic tracksuits, hoodies, polo tops and tees. Given that styles from previous Wales Bonner x adidas collections have gone onto re-sale sites for more than their original price, you'll need to be quick to secure your favourite pieces. 2.

Always one of the first items to sell out, Wales Bonner's adidas socks come in a pack of two. 6.

Wales Bonner's hi-top take on the Superstar is super-chic. 7.

adidas Originals by Wales Bonner Pique Track Pants
With a straight, slightly cropped fit, these trousers will look great with a classic white tee and your Wales Bonner trainers, naturally. 9.
adidas Originals by Wales Bonner Terry Polo
This will be the hardest-working top in your summer wardrobe. 10.
adidas Originals by Wales Bonner Satin Skirt
This, plus a tucked-in tank top with flat sandals, is all you need for an ideal summer outfit. 11.
adidas Originals by Wales Bonner Track Hoodie
A classic zip-through hoodie suddenly looks so much more appealing when in the hands of Wales Bonner. 12.
adidas Originals by Wales Bonner Knit T Shirt
Throw over vest tops with white jeans for city days or wear over swimwear when on the beach.

EastEnders' Lorraine Stanley looks slimmer than ever as she shows off five-stone weight loss and reveals huge milestone
FORMER EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley looked slimmer than ever on her social media. The actress took to her Instagram as she showed off her impressive five-stone weight loss. 6 6 Lorraine Stanley, 48, is best known for her role as Karen Taylor in the hit BBC One soap. She made her EastEnders debut in 2017 before departing the long-running serial drama in 2024. Since then, the actress has undergone a huge transformation as she now looks almost unrecognisable from her alter-ego. The star took to her social media page as she flaunted her slim physique. She sported a slimming flower print crop top and trousers combo as she partied the night away at a special bingo event. Underneath the tied top, she sported a skin-tight white vest which only emphasised her tiny waist. For shoes, Lorraine opted for complimentary open-toe leather platform strapped heels for the occasion. Alongside flaunting her slim physique, the star also opened up on a huge new milestone in her life. She captioned the snap: "5 months sober & still had a good night dancing! #Sobriety." Lorraine added: "@Bingobangouk @thegaietysouthsea thanks for having us." EastEnders legend reveals secret to five stone weight loss The actress was written out of Eastenders in 2023 after seven years on the show in a huge shock to fans. Her character's axing was as part of a shock cast shake-up and her final scenes were aired in December of that year. She went onto reprise her fan-favourite role a number of times in 2024 before her last episode hit BBC screens in June. Since her exit, she has faced speculation over her dramatic weight loss transformation. EastEnders stars who QUIT MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year? The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year. Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998. Yet what about the 2024 exits? Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had "quit" the long-running series. It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen. Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford. Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would "quit out of boredom" over recent storylines. Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame. One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky. He played Stacey Slater's brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel. Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse. Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay 's Netflix movie 6 Underground. Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005. She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008. However, Lorraine admitted it was not down to popular jabs like Ozempic or Mounjaro. Instead, Lorraine opted for the more traditional gastric sleeve operation. 6 6 6 6

Major boxing legend 'bags huge role in Guy Ritchie's Netflix flick The Gentlemen' as filming kicks off

The athlete, 35, who is the son of Chris Sr, is believed to be thrilled to have secured as he will join the cast for the second series, according to The Sun. The drama tells the story of Edward 'Eddie' Horniman, the 14th Duke of Halstead, played by Theo James, who inherits a country estate run by mobsters. A TV insider told the publication: 'Naturally, Chris will play a boxer, and a big part of The Gentlemen is about fighting because it's a sport the gangsters in the show are embroiled in. 'Guy Ritchie has frequently involved boxing in his gangster dramas, most notably Snatch, which had Brad Pitt as a bare-knuckle fighter. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'But the part Chris Eubank Sr likes is the aristocratic element.' MailOnline has contacted Chris' representatives and Netflix for comment. The star-studded comedy drama become one of the platform's biggest hits of the 2024 after it reached a whopping 44million views in just four weeks. Filming for season two is already underway and Theo, who leads the cast as aristocrat Eddie Halstead, was spotted on set for the scenes which saw a motorbike gang tear through the streets. Meanwhile Vinnie Jones, who plays hardman Geoffrey Seacombe, wielded a baseball bat as his character violent knocked one rider from their saddle. Also joining the cast for the new season is Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville, who is best known for playing Robert Crawley in ITV drama. According to The Sun, the identity of Hugh's character will remain under wraps, with fans left in suspense. The Gentlemen is based on Guy's 2019 film of the same name which starred Matthew McConaughey, Michelle Dockery and Hugh Grant. The first series' synopsis read: 'When aristocratic Eddie inherits the family estate, he discovers that it's home to an enormous weed empire — and its proprietors aren't going anywhere.' The show also has a star-studded cast that includes Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Joshua McGuire, Edward Fox, and Giancarlo Esposito. Many fans rushed to review site Rotten Tomatoes to give their praise following the show's first series. It has received 75 per cent on the Tomatometer and 83 per cent on the Popcornmeter. Meanwhile one said on IMBD: 'The best thing Netflix has produced in a very long time.' 'Well worth a watch - instant classic. Guy Ritchie making a series is just a wonderful thing. 8 pockets of brilliance, almost like 8 movies in one.' 'I couldn't stop binging this! It's a funny and wild ride with an ensemble cast. Theo James was born to play this role and I couldn't help thinking he would make a great Bond, especially after episode 2. 'Kaya Scodelario is brilliant as the steely Susie Glass. The comic timing of the whole cast is pivotal in making this so watchable.' 'I really like Guy Richie movies. He has had his fair share of less successful ones, but for the most part they were good.' 'Excellent work, everything goes surprisingly from gentle to aggressive with extraordinary balance and flow. What can I say, Guy Ritchie, he never disappoint us.' The 2019 movie proved to be a box office success, grossing just over $115 million against a reported budget of $22 million. In the film version, Mickey Pearson (played by Matthew) was a drug lord that tried to sell off his profitable marijuana business to a dynasty of billionaires.
