It means employment is available because India has become an investment destination, he stated.
"In the last decade, 17 crore job opportunities opened in India. Earlier in the previous decade, 4.5 crore jobs were created," he said.
Live Events
He further explained that India became an investment destination in the world because it is a transparent democracy and the judiciary is delivering justice based on merit.
Besides, he stated that consumers' purchasing power is increasing in India and emerging as a big market.
That is why global investors want to invest here in India, he pointed out.
He said there would be an '
Education to Employment Lounge
' in every university in the country, which would be run by industry bodies, and logistics would be provided by the central government.
"I will run the platform in collaboration with the government, industry bodies and universities. All youth will get job opportunities according to their qualification in this career lounge," he said.
The minister stressed the need for skill development according to industry demand, saying that industry bodies like CII can help the government a lot in training people as well as share details about their requirements.
He explained that according to the skill requirement of the industry, the universities or educational institutions will train the youth and certify them, which would eventually help them get jobs.
The minister was of the view that job creation would help in reaping demographic dividends and achieving the ultimate goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047 when the nation will be celebrating 100 years of independence.

NRI goes viral for saying Indian's live a better life than people abroad
Credit: X India is fast emerging as a major player in the world on the economic map. Behind this staggering achievement is an incredible shift in the manner in which life at ground level is lived in the nation. One such video on X, starring a man in his 30s who has experienced life both within India and overseas, presents a valid case: India, in several senses, provides a cheaper, more convenient, and service-oriented lifestyle compared to several developed countries. He brings to the fore the convenience of availability of services such as domestic assistance, low-priced cable TV, daily newspaper delivery, and speed-of-light grocery apps—features which are deemed luxuries in nations such as the U.S. and Canada because of their exorbitant prices and shortage of manpower. These are not uncommon in India—they're a norm in the daily life of its dynamic urban cities, made possible by an energetic service economy, technology, and people able to quickly adapt to innovation. The 10-minute grocery delivery mobile apps, which are currently still being tested in Western nations, already mainstream among the cities in India, illustrating how India tends to skip conventional development milestones with intelligent solutions. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Ready to Live in 3 & 4 BHK from ₹4.65 Cr* in Sec 22 Ambience Creacions, Gurugram Learn More Undo This fellow on X (@sathyashrii) highlighted how India has silently constructed a life of convenience and ease, from receiving a newspaper at your doorstep every morning to having a plethora of food delivery and logistics services available, many faster and more convenient than their counterparts in richer countries. Even in fields such as healthcare, India presents benefits that few Americans expect. In India, meeting with doctors, getting diagnostic tests, and accessing medicines is generally faster and much cheaper. An appointment with a specialist that may take weeks to get and cost hundreds of dollars in America can usually be scheduled the same day in India—at a small fraction of the cost. Most of the leading hospitals provide world-class treatment, and India is also becoming a medical tourism destination, with people from all over the world seeking quality treatment at less than half the price in the West. In contrast to nations where convenience is extremely costly, India offers the services cheaply and in volume, making everyday life in ways that surprise the majority in the West. It's not merely about price—it's also about innovation, adaptability, and a culture geared toward smart living. India recently emerged as the fourth-largest economy in the world, surpassing Japan, with a GDP of $4 trillion. This outstanding feat, backed by International Monetary Fund statistics and relayed by India's G20 Sherpa BVR Subrahmanyam, makes India poised to surpass Germany soon as well. For a nation once seen in terms of promise, India is today fulfilling that promise. This is not merely about statistics, though—it's about the lived experience of more than a billion individuals whose standard of living is consistently better. As India ascends the world economic ladder, it is setting an example of how growth can be combined with innovation, affordability, and daily convenience. Its success saga is not just being scripted in boardrooms and policy documents but is being played out in living rooms, hospitals, kitchens, and neighborhoods—where technology and tradition come together to design an exceptionally efficient and rewarding lifestyle. In a world where several developed nations are grappling with increasing expenses, congested infrastructure, and slower delivery of services, India is a place where contemporary life isn't merely accessible, but usually smoother. The future, it appears, is here already—and it is India.

'BJP will win 10 out of 12 zones in MCD standing committee polls', says BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri
BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri (Image credit: ANI) NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said on Monday that the party is confident it can secure a majority in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Standing Committee elections. Speaking to ANI, Bidhuri said, "We will win the election of the standing committee. The BJP will win 10 out of 12 zones." He further said that the party's presence in the central government, the Delhi administration, and the MCD would ensure that development work continues without hindrance. "The BJP is in the centre, state (Delhi), and MCD, and all the work will go smoothly. The triple-engine government works according to the wishes of the people of Delhi," he added. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) chairmen, deputy chairmen of 12 ward committees, and two standing committee members--each from the South Zone and City-SP Zone--will be elected today. The election of the two standing committee members was necessitated after Prem Chauhan and Punardeep Singh Sawhney, who had been elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly, tendered their resignations. Prem Chauhan and Punardeep Singh Sawhney were the standing committee members from the Wards Committee South Zone and the Wards Committee City-SP Zone, respectively. "In pursuance of Sub-section (5) of Section 45 of the Act, these vacancies are to be filled up by the concerned wards committees in a meeting from amongst the Councillors of the Wards Committee", a notice from MCD said. The BJP and AAP are making every effort to ensure their candidates win. Out of the 12 ward committees, elections in three zones will be uncontested, as only one candidate is in each zone. The results will shape the standing committee's formation and reveal which party gains majority control to appoint its Chairman. Meanwhile, AAP's Saurabh Bharadwaj said on Sunday that the election will reveal the relationship between Congress and the BJP. "Tomorrow, there are elections for the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the MCD Rohini zone. On one side is the panel of BJP-supported IVP, and on the other is the Aam Aadmi Party . The Congress president should tell whom the two Congress councillors will vote for tomorrow. Tomorrow, the relationship between Congress and the BJP will be revealed," he said on X. On May 24, with over two years still to go, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) shifted into mission mode for the 2027 Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, setting its sights on forming a huge majority in the civic body, a press release from the Aam Aadmi Party said. In a high-level strategy meeting held on Friday, senior AAP leader and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Delhi state president Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the MCD House, Ankush Narang, met with all party councillors to start the preparations. Former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia reviewed ward-level issues in detail and directed councillors to ensure immediate redressing. "Arvind Kejriwal has pioneered alternative work politics across India. Our goal now is to take this model to every household and make it even stronger," said Manish Sisodia.

"Kamal Haasan's Film Won't Release Without His Apology": Karnataka Film Body
Bengaluru: The row over legendary actor Kamal Haasan's "Kannada is born out of Tamil" remark shows no sign of dying down. A Karnataka film body has now warned that if the actor does not apologise for his remark, his upcoming movie Thug Life won't be released. "If he doesn't apologise, Thug Life won't run Karnataka. This is for sure, this is not about the industry, this is about the state. Even political parties are opposing, pro-Kannada organisations are making it clear that he has to respond. The movie's release is difficult without his apology. Our exhibitors or distributors are not ready to screen it. How can the movie release here?" Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president M Narasimhalu said. During a promotional event for Thug Life, which stars Mr Haasan, Trisha Krishnan and Silambarasan TR, the legendary actor said "Kannada was born out of Tamil". The remark sparked a massive row as politicians cutting across party lines slammed the actor. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said Kannada language has a long history and that Mr Hassan "doesn't know about it. Karnataka BJP chief BY Vijayendra has demanded an apology. "One must love their mother tongue, but flaunting arrogance in its name is a mark of cultural bankruptcy. Especially for artists, it is essential to possess the ethos of respecting every language," he said. The BJP leader said Mr Haasan acted in films of several languages, including Kannada, but his remark shows "blatant arrogance". Several pro-Kannada organisations have hit out at the actor and demanded an apology. The actor has, however, made it clear that he has no plan to apologise. "It is a democracy. I believe in law and justice. My love for Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala is true. Nobody will suspect it except for those who have an agenda. I've been threatened earlier too, and if I am wrong, I would apologise, if I'm not, I won't," he has said.
