Mansukh Mandaviya
on Friday said India has created 17 crore job opportunities in the last one decade compared to 4.5 crore employment in the preceding decade.
The BJP came to power in 2014, and the UPA regime was from 2004 to 2014.
Speaking at the
CII Annual Business Summit 2025
, Mandaviya said the
unemployment
rate in the country is 3.2 per cent, which is around the same level in the developed world.

"In the last decade, 17 crore job opportunities opened in India. Earlier in the previous decade, 4.5 crore jobs were created," he said.

He further explained that India became an investment destination in the world because it is a transparent democracy and the judiciary is delivering justice based on merit.
Besides, he stated that consumers' purchasing power is increasing in India and emerging as a big market.
That is why global investors want to invest here in India, he pointed out.

' in every university in the country, which would be run by industry bodies, and logistics would be provided by the central government.
"I will run the platform in collaboration with the government, industry bodies and universities. All youth will get job opportunities according to their qualification in this career lounge," he said.
The minister stressed the need for skill development according to industry demand, saying that industry bodies like CII can help the government a lot in training people as well as share details about their requirements.
He explained that according to the skill requirement of the industry, the universities or educational institutions will train the youth and certify them, which would eventually help them get jobs.
The minister was of the view that job creation would help in reaping demographic dividends and achieving the ultimate goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047 when the nation will be celebrating 100 years of independence.

'BJP will win 10 out of 12 zones in MCD standing committee polls', says BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri
BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri (Image credit: ANI) NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said on Monday that the party is confident it can secure a majority in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Standing Committee elections. Speaking to ANI, Bidhuri said, "We will win the election of the standing committee. The BJP will win 10 out of 12 zones." He further said that the party's presence in the central government, the Delhi administration, and the MCD would ensure that development work continues without hindrance. "The BJP is in the centre, state (Delhi), and MCD, and all the work will go smoothly. The triple-engine government works according to the wishes of the people of Delhi," he added. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) chairmen, deputy chairmen of 12 ward committees, and two standing committee members--each from the South Zone and City-SP Zone--will be elected today. The election of the two standing committee members was necessitated after Prem Chauhan and Punardeep Singh Sawhney, who had been elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly, tendered their resignations. Prem Chauhan and Punardeep Singh Sawhney were the standing committee members from the Wards Committee South Zone and the Wards Committee City-SP Zone, respectively. "In pursuance of Sub-section (5) of Section 45 of the Act, these vacancies are to be filled up by the concerned wards committees in a meeting from amongst the Councillors of the Wards Committee", a notice from MCD said. The BJP and AAP are making every effort to ensure their candidates win. Out of the 12 ward committees, elections in three zones will be uncontested, as only one candidate is in each zone. The results will shape the standing committee's formation and reveal which party gains majority control to appoint its Chairman. Meanwhile, AAP's Saurabh Bharadwaj said on Sunday that the election will reveal the relationship between Congress and the BJP. "Kamal Haasan's Film Won't Release Without His Apology": Karnataka Film Body
Bengaluru: The row over legendary actor Kamal Haasan's "Kannada is born out of Tamil" remark shows no sign of dying down. A Karnataka film body has now warned that if the actor does not apologise for his remark, his upcoming movie Thug Life won't be released. "If he doesn't apologise, Thug Life won't run Karnataka. This is for sure, this is not about the industry, this is about the state. Even political parties are opposing, pro-Kannada organisations are making it clear that he has to respond. The movie's release is difficult without his apology. Our exhibitors or distributors are not ready to screen it. How can the movie release here?" Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president M Narasimhalu said. During a promotional event for Thug Life, which stars Mr Haasan, Trisha Krishnan and Silambarasan TR, the legendary actor said "Kannada was born out of Tamil". The remark sparked a massive row as politicians cutting across party lines slammed the actor. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said Kannada language has a long history and that Mr Hassan "doesn't know about it. Karnataka BJP chief BY Vijayendra has demanded an apology. "One must love their mother tongue, but flaunting arrogance in its name is a mark of cultural bankruptcy. Especially for artists, it is essential to possess the ethos of respecting every language," he said. The BJP leader said Mr Haasan acted in films of several languages, including Kannada, but his remark shows "blatant arrogance". Several pro-Kannada organisations have hit out at the actor and demanded an apology. The actor has, however, made it clear that he has no plan to apologise. "It is a democracy. I believe in law and justice. My love for Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala is true. Nobody will suspect it except for those who have an agenda. I've been threatened earlier too, and if I am wrong, I would apologise, if I'm not, I won't," he has said.
