A motorcyclist has been taken to the hospital following a collision in North York Wednesday night.
Toronto police say a motorcycle and a car collided in the area of Eglinton Avenue East and Credit Union Drive, west of Victoria Park Avenue, just before 7:30 p.m.
The motorcycle rider sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Toronto paramedics said.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.
The cause of the collision is unknown.

Man charged in dispute involving a knife: SPS
A man is facing charges after a dispute involving a knife in Sarnia. On Thursday around 10 p.m., the Sarnia Police Service was called to the Suncor Docks on St. Clair Parkway with reports of a man with a knife. According to police, a 48-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son went to Sarnia from London to fish. The pair was originally fishing at the south end of the dock, when the son decided to move and find a better spot. Officers said when he did that, a man came up to him, and said he should fish somewhere else. The man allegedly pulled a knife on the boy. The boy told his mother, who confronted the man. The SPS said the knife was pulled again and the suspect put it to his own neck, making a threatening gesture, and pointed it at the woman and 'charged at her for a short distance.' The woman backed away, tripping over an anchor and hitting her head. Police found the man nearby and arrested him without incident. A 12-inch fishing knife was recovered. No injuries were reported other than the victim's head injury, which she refused paramedic assistance for. A 69-year-old man of Scotch Pine Gate Mississauga is now facing charges for assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Toronto man charged with assault, threatening to shoot dog: police
Toronto police cruisers are seen in this file photo. (Simon Sheehan/CP24) A Toronto man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted someone and threatened to shoot a dog in Riverside, police say. It happened at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of Gerrard Street and Logan Avenue. According to police, the suspect and an individual became involved in a verbal altercation at that time. The suspect then assaulted the victim and threatened to shoot a dog. It's unclear if the victim sustained any injuries or who the dog belongs to. The suspect allegedly fled before officers arrived at the scene. Police didn't say if the suspect knows the victim. John Joseph Baer McNamara, a 53-year-old Toronto resident, was subsequently arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, two counts of breach of probation, fail to comply with a release order, and uttering threats/animals or birds. Police are asking anyone with information about the alleged assault to contact them at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Erratic man accused of random assaults busted in Caledon
OPP arrested a Brampton man after two random crimes were committed. Wed., June 4, 2025. CTV NEWS/BARRIE An assault at a grocery store in Caledon led to the eventual arrest of a erratic man. On Monday, the victim at the grocery store in the area of Highway 50 and Queensgate Boulevard was hit with a weapon by an unknown individual. The suspect was described as a white male, short dark hair, wearing dark pants, a red and grey sweatshirt, black backpack and was carrying a green bag. The next day at 3 p.m., the Caledon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) interviewed a person whose vehicle tires had been abruptly slashed in a parking lot in the area of McEwan Drive East and Highway 50 by an unknown person. Police matched the attacker's description with the earlier day's assault, and determined it was the same person responsible for both crimes. On Wednesday, officers, located and arrested the suspect. As a result, a 32-year-old Brampton man was charged with: Mischief under $5000 Assault with a weapon Possession of a Schedule III substance Two counts of failing to comply with a release order He was held for a Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville.
