"I still say it, I think that's some of the best decisions I've ever made,' he said. 'I was extremely lucky that my dad was at Queen of the South and he took me on loan when I was 17.
'I'm just so grateful that I got that chance to play and experience and learn these little details that have helped me kick on today. It doesn't feel that long ago still, but football changes very quickly, so you just need to keep a level head and enjoy it while you can.'

Franck Ribery has previously expressed his displeasure at missing out on the Ballon d'Or in 2013 to five-time winner Cristiano Ronaldo and has once again hit out at the Portuguese forward Franck Ribery has mocked Cristiano Ronaldo 's claim about the Ballon d'Or after he revealed his three favourites. The latest iteration of the award is set to be handed out in a glitzy ceremony in Paris in September. But Saturday's match was not about the result for O'Neill, who wanted to give his young squad another tough test away to top-level opposition with a trip to Germany looming after they open their qualifying campaign in Luxembourg.
