How much salary is paid by bankrupt Pakistan to Army Chief Asim Munir? The amount is SHOCKING! It is Rs…, is it more than Indian Army Chief's salary?

Asim Munir (File) Pakistan Army Chief Salary: Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, who elevated himself to the position of Field Marshal after falsely proclaiming 'victory' in the recent India-Pakistan conflict, is the de-facto ruler of the country, while the civilian government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is little more than a puppet regime, designed to be subservient to the Army. But how much does Field Marshal Asim Munir officially earn in monthly salary? Let us find out. What is the salary of Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir? Its an open secret that the Pakistan economy is in complete ruin, yet its Army, especially the top brass live a lavish lifestyle comparable to the world's richest, while the masses struggle to find two square meals a day. In terms of salary, Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir receives a monthly salary of PKR 250,000, which is equivalent to about Rs. 75,000, a meagre amount compared to his Indian counterpart General Anil Chauhan, who earns a monthly salary of Rs 250,000, which equals to about 8.25 lakh in Pakistan Rupee (PKR). Thus, the Indian Army Chief earns three times more salary than the Pakistan Army Chief, showcasing the vast gulf in the economic strength of the two countries. Does Asim Munir get any additional facilities after Field Marshal elevation? While Asim Munir's salary remains the same, the post of Field Marshal is considered the highest in any army, and thus accompanied by a multitude of perks and facilities. The new title comes with top-of-the-line facilities including a posh government bungalow, additional security, cars, medical facilities, and lifelong pension. Notably, Army Chief is considered the most powerful figure in Pakistan, even ahead of the Prime Minister, and this was evident when US President Donald Trump recently hosted Asim Munir for a luncheon at the White House, a privilege usually reserved for Heads of State. Meanwhile, apart from the salary, the Pakistan Army chief enjoys certain other perks that accompany the top post, including free membership in elite clubs, a lavish private bungalow, additional security, government-funded transport, Additionally, the Pakistan Army owns several businesses as a corporation, including dairy and transport firms, which adds to the income of Army Chief General Asim Munir and other top brass of the Pakistan Army.

India may stun everyone by rejecting Su-57 fighter jet to buy F-35 from US due to..., move may prove game changer for IAF because...

The F-35 Fighter jet-Image for representational purpose American F‑35 fighter aircraft news: As India phases out its old MiG‑21 fighter jet fleet amid growing threats from China and Pakistan, the Indian Air Force is exploring options to quickly acquire fifth-generation fighter jets. Among the top options that India has been offered are the American F‑35 and the Russian Su‑57, both seen as game-changers. It was earlier reported that India may go for the purchase of Russian Su‑57 fighter jets but as of the recent update, reports suggest that India may purchase the American F‑35 fighter aircraft. Why India may choose American F‑35 fighter aircraft? Taking about the while the F‑35 offers cutting-edge stealth and combat technology, it comes with limitations such as lack of weapons integration flexibility and possible restrictions on technology sharing. On the other hand, the Su‑57 is more compatible with India's existing defence systems and may offer opportunities for co-production under the 'Make in India' initiative. Choosing between the two could significantly influence India's defence posture and global alignments. However, reports now say that India may surprise everyone and buy US's F-35 fighter aircraft because it uses world's most advanced stealth technology, has world class network-centric warfare capabilities and this aircraft has proven itself in war. Another advantage of the F-35 aircraft is that it is extremely effective in carrying out surgical strikes against Pakistan on terrorist hideout. India's 5th-generation stealth fighter jet gets key clearance Meanwhile, the government of India, in a major push towards Atmanirbharta (self-reliance), approved the Execution Model for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme recently. As per a report by IANS news agency, the AMCA project clearance marks a critical step towards realising India's goal of joining an elite club of nations in designing and producing its own fleet of next-generation combat aircraft. The project will be helmed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), said the Defence Ministry in a press release. Designed with low radar cross-section and supercruise capability, the AMCA is seen as the successor to the frontline Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jets. Some reports suggest that its mass production is likely to commence by 2035. (With inputs from agencies)

The Conscience Network: Fighting the emergency and the US battlefront

The element of equivalence between then and now is probed delicately but bravely by this book which revisits the Emergency and the resistance to it from a new angle Aditi Phadnis Mumbai Listen to This Article The Conscience Network: A Chronicle of Resistance to a Dictatorship Published by Penguin 553 pages ₹1,299 There can be no debate on the Emergency in India. It was a dark time in Indian democracy and politics for which even the Congress has offered an explanation and a qualified apology. But 50 years after the event, the mystifying demand of top Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary Dattatreya Hosabale that the words 'socialist' and 'secular' be removed from India's preamble does make you wonder. The 42nd Amendment that introduced the words during the Emergency didn't just amend the Preamble which is non-justiciable
