, using an old video clip from one of Diljit's concerts to criticise him over the release of his latest Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the lead.
In his post, Abhijeet featured Diljit's performance of a line from the iconic poem by Rahat Indori, 'Kisi ke baap ka Hindustan thodi hai,' and added his own rebuttal: 'Hindustan hamare baap ka hai... Hindustan hamare baap ke baap ke baap ke purvajo ka hai.'
The video concluded with Abhijeet holding the Tiranga to the tune of 'Sare Jahan Se Achha', captioned: 'Hindustan Hamare BAAP ka hai..'
Abhijeet's outrage follows Sardaar Ji 3 casting row
While the concert clip is not recent, Abhijeet's sudden reaction appears to be linked to the backlash against Sardaar Ji 3.
Many social media users including celebrities criticised the collaboration between Diljit and Hania Aamir, given the strained political relationship between India and Pakistan.
The makers of Sardaar Ji 3 have skipped a theatrical release in India due to the backlash, opting instead for an overseas release, where Diljit enjoys a massive fan following across North America, the UK, and Australia.

Imtiaz Ali supports Diljit
Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, who directed Diljit in Amar Singh Chamkila, defended the singer-actor during a recent interaction. He said: 'I don't know the details, but I know that uske andar desh prem bahut zyada hai (he truly loves his country). Jo log dekh paayenge unke andar ke sach ko, unko ye samajh mein aa jaayega (Those who can see the truth will understand).'
Imtiaz also emphasized that Diljit doesn't fake anything: 'Fakeness ke saath woh kuch nahi karta. At the end of all his concerts, he says, 'Main hoon Punjab' while holding the Indian flag.'

Diljit Dosanjh cheers ‘Sardaar Ji 3's' global success despite Indian outrage over Pakistani co-star Hania Aamir
Diljit Dosanjh's Instagram stories celebrating Sardar Ji 3's collection overseas. (Screenshots: Instagram) 'Film was shot before tensions escalated': Diljit speaks out FWICE demands Diljit's removal from Border 2 Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh , who has dominated headlines this year with his sold-out concerts and debut at the Met Gala , is now in the spotlight for an entirely different reason. His latest Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 has run into controversy after Pakistani actress Hania Aamir was revealed as the female lead in the film's trailer. The revelation triggered backlash in India, especially in the aftermath of April's Pahalgam terror attack , prompting the makers to limit the release to overseas markets the domestic stir, Dosanjh appears unfazed, actively celebrating the film's international success and audience response. Sharing Instagram stories of packed theatres and box office numbers from Pakistan and other foreign territories, the actor showed clips of elated crowds cheering, especially when Hania appeared onscreen. One video, originally posted by Universal Cinemas, stated, '12 shows on ultra screens, the largest in the country. The overwhelming response from the audience for Sardaar Ji 3.'According to reports from Box Office India , the film managed to rake in ₹11.03 crore globally within just two days. The opening day saw collections of ₹4.32 crore, with day two witnessing a significant jump to ₹6.71 crore. All the revenue, notably, came from outside an interview with BBC Asian Network, Diljit Dosanjh addressed the criticism regarding the timing and casting of the film. He clarified that the film was completed in February 2025, well before the recent Indo-Pak tensions escalated. 'Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation sab theek tha. We shot this in Feb and then everything was fine,' he said, adding that certain developments were beyond their control. The makers, acknowledging public sentiment in India, chose to release the film internationally in an attempt to recover their investments. 'Even when I signed the film, everything was fine. Now, the situation is not in our hands,' he said, supporting the decision to avoid an Indian backlash has not stopped at Sardaar Ji 3. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has taken a firm stance, urging the producers of the upcoming patriotic film Border 2 to remove Diljit from the project. According to the federation, it is 'unacceptable' to have Dosanjh star in a film that portrays national pride after his association with a film featuring a Pakistani actor. While no response has been received from the film's producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, FWICE has escalated the matter by appealing to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to revoke permission for the film's scheduled shoot at the National Defence the debate continues, Diljit Dosanjh remains focused on the film's global reception, seemingly unaffected by the calls for boycott or criticism at home. Whether this controversy will impact his future projects, especially one as high-profile as Border 2, remains to be seen.

Now, Goa's cultural, historical legacy in audio-visual formats
Panaji: The directorate of archives will document the state's rich cultural and historical legacy in audio-visual formats, which until now was only preserved in paper and document form. 'This is the first time we are creating a dedicated repository for audio-visual heritage,' said Gayatri Ghatwal, scientific officer, who was appointed head of the Goa State Audio-Visual Archives. 'This institution is proposed to serve as a nodal centre for the preservation, documentation and dissemination of audio-visual materials that reflect Goa's culture, history and identity.' Announced through a notification on May 8, the Goa State Audio Visual Archives was formally approved under the archives department in line with a budget assurance made by chief minister Pramod Sawant in his speech for the financial year 2025-26. Govt's new initiative aims to expand the scope of heritage conservation by including audio tapes, video cassettes, film reels, CDs and digital recordings that capture the state's living traditions. The ambitious project has two main objectives. Firstly, to acquire, preserve and digitise existing audio-visual material of historical or cultural significance — from rare spools, cassettes and early recordings of Goa's freedom struggle, to interviews, traditional music performances and pre-liberation footage that might be lying forgotten in private collections. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning... Secondly, the archives will actively document Goa's living oral traditions and folk knowledge that was passed down through generations in its villages. Rituals, legends, songs and local histories that were so far confined to memory and storytelling will now be recorded in audio-visual formats. 'We appeal to the general public and organisations — if you have any historical footage, old recordings, videos related to the freedom movement or any such material with cultural or historical value, reach out to us,' she said.
