But there's a fifth who fancies getting his hands on the Claret Jug too, despite the fact he's not actually playing in the Open...

That man is Jamie Gough, the brother of former Rangers captain Richard Gough.
He finds himself at the top of the Open leaderboard - by proxy, if you like - thanks to Haotong Li.
Gough is the Chinese golfer's coach and after a brilliant first round of 67, Li is tied for the lead in the championship.
Richard Gough played a part in each of Rangers' league wins during the nine-in-a-row era during the 1990s.
He also won the Scottish Cup three times with the Light Blues and the League Cup six times, plus a top flight title with Dundee United in 1982-83.
So the Gough family is no stranger to silverware, including Jamie.
He also coaches Scots Connor Syme and Ewen Ferguson, both of whom have won recently on the DP World Tour.
Gough previously worked with New Zealander Ryan Fox, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour this season.
Syme and Ferguson aren't teeing it up at the Dunluce links this week but Li and Fox are both in with a chance of becoming Champion Golfer of the Year.
Gough has been working closely with Li during his practice rounds and he would've been delighted with his protege's opening effort.
'Absolutely brilliant or RUBBISH' - Gassama Rangers transfer verdict and Souttar to leave
Li said after his impressive four-under-par round: "I've been playing quite solid the whole year so far until the last couple weeks, so hopefully, keep the momentum and have some good results come in.'
Gough himself opened up on his busy schedule as a golf coach and said he hopes Li's upturn in form continues.
He said: 'I've been fortunate. I've worked with a lot of good players, so it's enjoyable.
'Last year I ended up doing 38 events on both sides and tried to do both tours.
'And at the beginning of this year I did the first 11 of 12 events and I did most of them in America.
'Then I came back, had a few health issues and I decided not to do America after a while. More just needed some rest, really, you know.
'But there's been a lot of tests and I'm strong as an ox. So I've just been out in Europe and it's been great. The boys have done well.
'It was brilliant to see Connor win. Haotong, nice to see him getting his confidence back because he went off the boil for a few years, but he's coming back nicely. Ewen's had a nice couple of solid weeks and is starting to play well again.'

Major Luuk de jong transfer clue amid Rangers links
The Netherlands hero has been linked with a transfer to Rangers in recent weeks, with his future at PSV looking to be almost over. The former Newcastle and Barcelona forward did not travel with the rest of his teammates as Peter Bosz's squad headed for their pre-season training camp in Germany. And the striker's departure from PSV appears to have been all but sealed with his No.9 shirt being taken off him. Instead, it has been assigned to fellow frontman Ricardo Pepi. "It's a privilege," the American told ESPN. "Many legends have worn this number at PSV. I'm taking on the challenge of writing my own history. "There should always be competition. It keeps you sharp and that makes you a better player. "I don't want to bother him [De Jong] at the moment, because I know he's figuring out what career path he wants to take. "I'm sure the club has discussed it with him. I trust he'll make the best choice for himself. We've always had good conversations. We have a good relationship." Rangers have been linked with the experienced forward as Russell Martin continues to shape his squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. Jamie Vardy had also been a player heavily touted with a move to Ibrox, however, cold water appears to be have poured over that suggestion.

Shane Lowry in rules breach controversy at The Open as furious star yells ‘f*** this place' in frustration
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SHANE LOWRY was embroiled in a major rules breach controversy during his second round at The Open. And it came just after he furiously shouted "f*** this place" in a blazing rant on Friday evening. But his wayward tee shot on 11 spooned left, causing him to yell out the expletive in anger. Incredibly, it is the third different Major out of four this year where Lowry has used the X-rated phrase. And commentator Ewan Murray said on Sky Sports Golf: "Sorry about the language slipping through there." READ MORE ON THE OPEN FLEETING ANGER Fleetwood's X-rated reaction to 'awful' bad luck after Open caddie blunder Irishman Lowry - champion at Portrush in 2019 - bogeyed the hole. Then on the very next hole, he found the rough when his tee shot drifted left on the par-5 12th hole. Lowry headed over to his ball and tried to figure out how he could recover. But as he swung his club head through the long grass, TV cameras appeared to show the ball move ever so slightly. CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS On the replay, it just seems to nudge backwards fractionally. Lowry nor his caddie noticed the tiny motion at the time and therefore the world No18 did not call it on himself. Tense moment as furious Jon Rahm confronts golf fan at The Open But the TV commentators and golf fans watching the action at home highlighted the incident. One social media user said: "Did Shane Lowry's ball move juuuuust a tad on that practice swing??" Another wrote: "If they don't stroke Lowry we're going to have major major problems." A third asked: "Did anyone else see this? Saw it live. Looked like Lowry's practice swing moved the ball. What do you all see?" And a fourth added: "The ball clearly moved. This whole 'did he see it' or not issue should be irrelevant. He clearly caused the ball to move when he took the practice swing." When he made his actual shot, Lowry played into a bunker but still made par. It is understood the R&A noted the incident and would review the video then speak to Lowry after his round - a one-under-par 70 to go to -2 - to determine any punishment. But if found guilty, he could be slapped with a brutal two-stroke penalty. Golf rules state: "If you take a practice swing and cause your ball to move, you still have not made a stroke, but you will get a one-stroke penalty for moving your ball in play. "The ball must be replaced on its original spot. If the player instead plays the ball from where it was moved to after their practice swing, it becomes a two-stroke penalty." And at one stage that threatened to see him suffer the ultimate punishment of missing the cut. Lowry's X-rated outburst came 24 hours after Tommy Fleetwood's own swearing blast. Fleetwood was left fuming when his ball landed in a bunker that had not been raked.

Alfie Dorrington Tottenham decision puts Aberdeen on transfer red alert as Luton boss responds to Shayden Morris snub
Dorrington caught the eye in a loan spell for the Dons last season and started in their Scottish Cup final triumph against Celtic Alfie Dorrington is facing an uphill battle to force his way into the plans of new Tottenham boss Thomas Frank after the Aberdeen cup hero was not given a squad number for the club's pre-season schedule. The 20-year-old was handed his debut at Spurs by Ange Postecoglou in the Premier League last season before heading up to Pittodrie on loan for the second half of the campaign, where he started in the Dons' shock Scottish Cup final victory over Celtic on penalties. Dorrington has now returned to London for pre-season but looks to have fallen down the pecking order under new manager Frank, who has replaced the sacked Postecoglou from nearby Brentford. In a statement confirming their squad numbers for their five friendly fixtures before their Premier League kick-off against Burnley on August 16, Dorrington was one of a number of absentees along with fellow youngsters Tyrese Hall and Callum Olusesi as well as big money signing Bryan Gil. The centre back is contracted at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until 2029 but his omission suggests that Frank does not see Dorrington as part of his squad for the coming season. The England youth international impressed in his 16 appearances for Aberdeen, scoring once in a 4-1 victory against Motherwell. Jimmy Thelin's men are gearing up for a campaign in Europe that will last until Christmas at least and following their triumph at Hampden, chairman Dave Cormack did not rule out the prospect of Dorrington returning to the Granite City for another loan spell. In an interview with Graham Spiers' Press Box podcast on May 30, he said: "I know Spurs have been, as I understand it from Steven and Alan, delighted with his loan. "It's the first time the boy's been away from home in London, and he told me a number of times he's absolutely loved being away on his own, and he looks after himself as a player as well. "So we'll just have to wait and see on that one." Meanwhile, Luton Town boss Matt Bloomfield has confirmed he is looking to bolster his attacking options after seeing two bids for Dons winger Shayden Morris thrown out. The Hatters second offer was said to be worth £600,000 but that was not enough to bring Aberdeen to the table. Morris enjoyed an impressive season last year, registering five goals and 13 assists but with a year remaining on his contract, the 23-year-old remains in talks over a potential extension. Luton will compete in EFL League One next season after suffering back-to-back relegations from the Premier League and Bloomfield has hinted that attacking targets are still on the agenda. He told Luton Today: "We're very respectful of the group we've got. With the forwards I think we've some really good attacking options. If the right option becomes available to us and we can take it then we will do so if we feel like we're going to get stronger, but I think that's for all over the pitch. "Defensively we are strong, in midfield we've got some very, very good options. If the right option comes up higher up the pitch then we'll grab it, but we're also really happy with some of the options we've got there already. "As with any window you grab some that you really believe in and you miss out on some that for whatever reason wasn't quite right, whether that be on the playing side, the club side or financially. "In terms of acquiring the players we were looking to acquire, we wanted some pace and we've acquired some pace. We wanted some leadership, we've done that. It's never a perfect window but we've been pleased with what we've done so far.
