Last year, Sydnie Christmas captured the public's hearts after winning Britain's Got Talent with her show stopping performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz. However, following the competition she disclosed some surprising facts regarding the show's £250,000 prize money.
Despite the impressive sum she won on the beloved ITV programme, the singer shared that she hasn't spent a single penny of her winnings. Instead, Sydnie has safely stashed all of it into savings, with an eye toward her future aspirations.

She said: "With the prize money, I've put it all away in a savings account because I want to save for a house at some point." For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter .

Sydnie explained: "All I ever wanted was stability, to be able to move on in the future and one day have children and things like that, so now, luckily enough, I've been given that."
Even though her savings remain untouched, life for Sydnie has been far from idle post-BGT victory.

She's not only wrapped up work on her album but also enjoyed performing live, as well as that she's been a semi-regular competition presenter on ITV daytime TV. She said: "I've finished working on the album, which is cool. I've had a few gigs, really cool gigs, in front of loads of people."
A standout moment for her was the Blackpool Illuminations. The Express reported Sydnie saying: "The Blackpool Illuminations were just unbelievable. I heard there was 80,000 people there, but then I also heard there was 100,000 people there. It was just ridiculous, best experience ever."
Reflecting upon the intense moments during Britain's Got Talent, Sydnie confessed that despite thoroughly enjoying the process, it was nearly overshadowed by her anxiety. She said: "Both the semi-final and final, for one, I went last and I nearly threw up."

Her nerves were tested by repeated scheduling decisions. She explained: "They kept putting me on last, I was like, 'guys, this is not fair two days in a row, oh my goodness."
The tension didn't abate at that point. She remembered the fraught moments preceding the winner's revelation: "It was the waiting before they announced who won, it was awful. I nearly had a full-on panic attack."
Since winning the competition, Sydnie has returned to the BGT stage to perform during this year's semi-finals. The returning winner, sang with her friend and past Britain's Got Talent contestant, Loren Allred, who is the voice behind the Greatest Showman hit Never Enough.

Sydnie posted on social media: "Full circle moment going back to where it all started, but to be able to do it with a friend makes it all that much sweeter.
"I will fly the @bgt flag for the rest of my days. I'm forever grateful. And the dreams that you dare to dream. Really do come true."

Katie Price's defiant post about motherhood after denying 'rift' with Princess Andre

Katie Price has shared a quote about parenthood following the launch of her daughter Princess Andre's reality TV show, which she had previously said that she wouldn't watch A post about motherhood has been shared by Katie Price this week amid speculation over her relationship with her eldest daughter Princess Andre. It comes following the launch of the Princess Diaries over the weekend. ‌ Katie, 47, has claimed she wasn't allowed to appear in the ITV show, which follows Princess, 18, who's the youngest of her two children with her ex-husband Peter Andre, 52. She's also criticised the teenager's management for not "allowing" her to guide her daughter in her career. ‌ ‌ READ MORE: Katie Price worries fans with appearance in family photo after explaining weight loss Katie shared a post about being a mother, which had been uploaded by the page INEX Digital Wealth on Instagram, with her followers on the platform this afternoon. It appeared to be titled: "Your mom is not your enemy." It read: "She may not always say things the way you want to hear them, but her heart is always in the right place. She's the one who worries when you're hurting, prays when you're lost, and stands by you even when the world doesn't." ‌ The post shared by Katie concluded: "She's not trying to control you. She's trying to protect you. She may not be perfect, but she's the only woman in this world who truly wants what's best for you, even if it costs her everything." Princess is the third eldest of Katie's five children. Her family also includes Junior Andre, 20, who is the eldest of her two kids with Peter, and eldest son Harvey Price, 23. It comes after the Princess Diaries launched last night. Katie had previously said that she wouldn't be watching it and expressed her disappointment over her apparent lack of involvement with her eldest daughter's career to date. ‌ As previously reported, she said on an episode of the Katie Price Show podcast that she had offered to take part in the reality TV show 'for free' but was turned down. Katie said she's "very upset" that Princess' career is being managed by her ex-husband Peter's management, the CAN Group, who she alleged consider Katie to be "trash". Katie said on the podcast: "Princess is taking that same path [as I did in my career] – trying to do the same as what I've done – which I absolutely love and adore of Princess but I have not been allowed to go on any photoshoot, no signings or Superdrug openings or anything like that. Why? Because I'm not allowed and I'm not welcome." ‌ And dismissing rumours of a rift between the mother and daughter, Katie said: "Me and Princess have never, ever, ever had an argument to this day or a disagreement. We get on like best friends, mother and daughter. Princess lives with me and she stays at her dad's. Now, she's been staying at her dad's the past two months because she's been filming her show. And our personal life together is amazing." As reported last night, Princess spoke about her mother in the first episode of her show and said that she's like a "best friend". She's quoted as having said in a scene: "Me and my mum now, we're so close. We're like best friends." In a statement, Princess' management later responded to Katie's criticism. The CAN Group told the Mirror recently: "As a company, our duty of care to our clients is paramount. We would never advise a client on their personal life unless asked and we have never stopped anyone seeing their families."
