UCLA 3-point specialist Londynn Jones transfers to rival USC
April 22 - After three seasons at UCLA, guard Londynn Jones is trading in her powder blue and gold and heading to the Bruins' rival, Southern California.
Jones announced in an Instagram post Monday that she is transferring to USC.
"Best of both worlds, LA... I'm still here," the native of Riverside, Calif., wrote.
Jones made a UCLA program-record 87 3-pointers on 36.6 percent shooting from the arc in 2023-24. She followed that up with another 72 treys in 2024-25, making 35.1 percent of her attempts.
Jones averaged 9.6 points per game in 108 games (60 starts) for the Bruins, including 8.5 ppg last season over 37 games (31 starts). She was an All-Big Ten honorable mention.
UCLA went 34-3 in 2024-25 and won the Big Ten tournament by defeating USC 72-67 in the championship game. The Bruins were the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and reached the Final Four, where they lost to eventual national champion UConn.
USC, meanwhile, also earned a No. 1 seed in the tournament and fell to UConn in the Elite Eight. The Trojans lost national Player of the Year JuJu Watkins to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the second round of the tournament. If Watkins returns to action in 2025-26, she would count Jones as a teammate.

Now Doohan looks set to join up with the squad ahead of flying out to Liechtenstein on Sunday. The 27-year-old made 18 appearances for the Dons last season and was capped right through the youth ranks up to U-21 level where he made 13 appearances. Bournemouth kid Callan McKenna has also been training with the squad. But the 18-year-old former Queen's Park keeper will likely just be cover. Speaking after Friday's defeat Clarke said: "It's difficult for Cieran. I feel for him. "He got thrown into a situation where he maybe wasn't quite ready for it. But Craig's injured, Liam Kelly's injured, Zander Clark was injured. "I mentioned back in March that it was something I thought might come back to bite us. The only good thing is it came in a friendly match. "For sure I'll try and call up another goalkeeper. I've had young Callan McKenna who's just turned 18-years of age, training with us and he'll travel. I'll see if I can find another one somewhere in Scotland that's not on holiday." Tyrone Minors out to boost All-Ireland bid by overcoming tricky Quarter-Final test
The Red Hands looked composed and confident in winning the Ulster title under manager Gerard Donnelly, but they are aware that they will face a tough assignment against a Cork side that lost to Kerry in the Munster decider. While Tyrone have gained in confidence and style, they will certainly know to be on their guard against a Cork outfit that never quite managed to unveil their fluency against the Kingdom. Cork will be missing the services of the influential Cathal McCarthy for this contest because of suspension, but they possess other talismen in the form of Eoin Maguire, Ben Corkery Delaney and Tom Whooley. Tyrone have been looking confident of late and this is scarcely surprising given that they have won three Ulster titles on the trot. Manager Donnelly is aware that his team can impose themselves on opponents and is hoping that they can get into their stride quickly. In Cathal Farley, Eoin Long, James Mulgrew and Padraig Donaghy, the Red Hands boast a number of players who will be capable of taking the game to their opponents. Peter Garrity and Peter Colton are two players who are capable of taking scores from distance, while the tight marking of the Tyrone defence has also thwarted several sides to date. Indeed, Donnelly's side play with great intensity but they may find scores hard to come by on this occasion. Still, if their attack sees enough of the ball anything is possible. Meanwhile, Cavan will confront Kerry in the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship as part of the double bill on Saturday at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise (12.00 noon). A Tottenham Hotspur legend forever – Son Heung-min hails sacked Ange Postecoglou
Son Heung-min hailed Ange Postecoglou as a 'Tottenham Hotspur legend' as the club's supporters' trust expressed 'concern' with another change in manager. Postecoglou ended Spurs' 17-year wait for silverware with Europa League success over Manchester United in Bilbao on May 21, but it failed to earn the Australian a third season. A club statement on Friday announcing Postecoglou's departure highlighted a woeful Premier League campaign where Tottenham finished 17th, which is their lowest top-flight finish since relegation in 1977.
