JOHOR BAHRU: Police arrested a 40-year-old Singaporean man after he was involved in a road rage incident and alleged vandalism against another car around Tun Aminah, Skudai yesterday.
Johor Bahru Utara (North) police chief ACP Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh said after a 31-year-old local man lodged a report about the incident at 3.01 pm, a team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Johor Bahru Utara police headquarters (IPD) arrested the suspect at about 6.20 pm yesterday (June 8) and made several seizures.
'The complainant stated that while driving his BMW at 2.39pm in the Tun Aminah area, he was honked at by a Toyota Altis with a Singapore registration number, whose driver was dissatisfied because his path was blocked. An argument ensued and the suspect allegedly kicked the complainant's car, causing damage. However, the complainant did not suffer any injuries,' he said in a statement today.
Balveer Singh said the suspect had no previous criminal record and tested negative for drugs.
He said the suspect would be brought to the Johor Bahru Court tomorrow (June 9) for a remand application for the case to be investigated under Section 426 of the Penal Code (for mischief and damage of property) and Section 509 of the Penal Code (utterance of insult).

12k Members Strong Paedophile FB Group Disappears After Mekyun, Cikgu Fadli, Caprice Raise Alarm

Subscribe to our FREE Influencer Mekyun (real name Wee Yu Nee) raised the alarm after she found out there's a Facebook group 'Group Budak2 Sekolah Rendah' where members share pictures of school children and exchange lewd comments. The alleged 'paedophile' group has 12,000 members when Mekyun was alerted about the group. Someone also uploaded a picture of Mekyun in her school uniform in the group and she was disgusted by the lewd comments about her and the other children. The comments were allegedly made by men who could be fathers and uncles. Mekyun said what the men did was a crime and not funny. She said to her followers that they must take collective action together to speak up for these children. She implored her followers to report the particular Facebook group and share her video to spread awareness. She hoped the police, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, the Minister of Communications, could investigate and take action against the group. A Twitter user said they would go into similar groups to report the members to their wives with screenshot evidence of their husbands' comments. Meanwhile, others believe the offenders should be publicly named to deter future incidents. They hoped the authorities could trace these people and take action against them. Ex-staff charged with CBT, cheating school of RM142,354

KUALA LUMPUR: A former employee of an international school pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to three charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM142,354.10 belonging to the school. A. Komala, 33, who served as a parent liaison executive and personal assistant at the time, is accused of misappropriating the sum for personal use at the school located in Persiaran Stonor, Dang Wangi, between June 11 and 28 last year. She was charged under Section 408 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of between one and 14 years, whipping and a fine, upon conviction. Komala also faces two counts of cheating two Japanese men by deceiving them into believing that the school fee invoices she issued for their children were legitimate. The alleged deception prompted the victims to transfer RM94,509 and RM47,845.10 respectively into a bank account under a company owned by the accused's husband — payments they would not have made had they not been misled. The offences were allegedly committed at the same place and during the same period. The cheating charges were framed under Section 420 of the Penal Code, which provides for imprisonment of between one and 10 years, whipping and a fine, upon conviction. Deputy public prosecutor Noor Syafina Mohd Radzuan proposed bail at RM30,000 with one surety for all charges, while defence counsel Kelvinder Singh Sindhu appealed for a lower amount, citing that the accused is financially supporting her family. Judge Azrul Darus allowed bail at RM30,000 with one surety and set July 15 for mention.
