Vijay Deverakonda shares qualities he's looking for in his wife, reveals if Rashmika Mandanna fits the bill
Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have long been rumoured to be dating. Fans have often spotted the two sharing pictures separately, but with the same background. Now, in an interview with Filmfare, Vijay spoke about the qualities he is looking for in a wife and whether Rashmika fits the bill. When Vijay was asked about his dating rumours with Rashmika, he avoided the question, saying, "Ask insiders." Later, he also spoke about Rashmika's good and bad qualities, saying, "Good: She is crazy hardworking. She can beat anything with her will and determination. She is too kind and prioritises everyone's comfort and happiness over hers. Bad: Same as the above. She needs to find a little balance."
Sharing his marriage plans, Vijay said that he will definitely marry someday. When asked about the qualities he is looking for in a wife, the actor said, "Currently not looking for a life partner." When asked if Rashmika fits the bill, he said, "Any good woman with a good heart fits the bill."
Last year, in 2024, both Rashmika and Vijay admitted to being in a relationship but did not name their partners. They have been rumoured to be dating since they starred together in the 2018 hit Geetha Govindam and the 2019 film Dear Comrade.
Rashmika often shares pictures from Vijay's house and shares a close rapport with his family. Last year, Rashmika was seen watching her blockbuster film Pushpa 2: The Rule with Vijay's family in a theatre. Fans also spotted Rashmika and Vijay posting pictures from the same location around Rashmika's birthday, sparking speculation that they celebrated it together.
Vijay will next be seen in the film Kingdom. The Telugu spy thriller, written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, also stars Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev. It is intended to be the first instalment of a planned duology. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on July 4.

Model-actor Muzammil Ibrahim has revealed in a recent interview that director Ayan Mukerji originally envisioned him in the 2013 hit film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. According to Muzammil, Ayan personally told him that he was writing the story with him in mind, particularly for the role that later went to Aditya Roy Kapur. A Close Bond and a Missed Role In a chat with Siddharth Kannan, Muzammil recounted how director Kiran Rao introduced him to Ayan after being impressed by his performance in Dhokha (2007). 'Ayan liked me a lot. He told me he was writing Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani keeping me in mind,' Muzammil claimed. He clarified that his past relationship with Deepika Padukone, who starred in the film opposite Ranbir Kapoor, had nothing to do with the casting decision. In fact, he says he endorsed Deepika's involvement. 'Ayan would often discuss casting options with me, like whether to go with Deepika or Katrina. I told him Deepika was the right choice.' Casting Agents Changed the Course According to Muzammil, the project's direction shifted after casting agents entered the picture. He believes they disrupted the communication between him and Ayan, leading to the missed opportunity. 'Ayan told me he'd give me the script. But once the casting agents came in, they really messed things up. They had their own agendas,' Muzammil alleged. He also confessed to hesitating at the time, unsure whether to follow up with Ayan. 'I thought maybe my role was too small, or that Ranbir and Ayan's friendship might have influenced things,' he added. Believes His Debut Performance Outshone Ranbir's Muzammil also shared that he believed his performance in 'Dhokha' was stronger than Ranbir Kapoor's debut in 'Saawariya', both released in 2007. Reflecting on what could have been a turning point in his career, Muzammil said, 'Maybe I should have spoken up. But back then, I didn't know how to navigate the politics.' New Delhi: Akhil Akkineni, son of veteran actor Nagarjuna, married his longtime girlfriend Zainab Ravdjee on June 6. What The wedding took place at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a venue established by Akhil's grandfather and legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Several photos from the wedding have been doing the rounds on social media. One of the pictures gives a glimpse of the newlyweds dressed in white outfits.
