NFL suspends Justin Tucker for violating personal conduct policy amid sexual misconduct allegations: report
The NFL is suspending former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker for the first 10 weeks of the 2026 season for violating the league's personal conduct policy, according to ESPN. Tucker is currently in the middle of an off-the-field controversy after 16 massage therapists from eight different Baltimore spa and wellness centers accused him of inappropriate behavior during alleged incidents tha took place between 2012 and 2016. Tucker denied all the allegations in multiple statements, calling them "unequivocally false." Tucker's representative, Rob Roche, released a statement addressing the NFL's recent decision to suspend Tucker in a statement to ESPN. "We are disappointed with the NFL's decision. Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud. He stands by his previous statements," the statement read. "In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter. The people who know Justin best know his character and understand that while he remains fully committed to excellence as a football player, he is deeply dedicated to his most important lifetime roles as a father, husband, and friend." The Ravens released Tucker in early May, calling his release a "football decision." The 35-year-old, who is a five-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler, had his worst year in the NFL in 2024 after owning a 73.3% field goal percentage. He still, however, owns the all-time career field goal percentage at 89.1% with that mark. The Baltimore Banner first reported the allegations with victims saying Tucker exposed himself repeatedly during a span of four years, including his rookie campaign when the Ravens won the Super Bowl. "Throughout my career as a professional athlete, I have always sought to conduct myself with the utmost professionalism. I have never before been accused of misconduct of any kind, and I have never been accused of acting inappropriately in front of a massage therapist or during a massage therapy session or during other bodywork," Tucker's response statement said. "I have never received any complaints from a massage therapist, have never been dismissed from a massage therapy or bodywork session and have never been told that I was not welcome at any spa or other place of business." Justin Tucker suspended for first 10 games of the 2025 season
The NFL has suspended free agent kicker Justin Tucker for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 regular season for violating the league's personal conduct policy, the league announced Thursday. The Ravens cut Tucker on May 5, designating him as a post-June 1 release for cap reasons. Sixteen massage therapists from eight high-end Baltimore-area spas have accused Tucker of sexual misconduct. All of the alleged misconduct reportedly occurred between 2012-16. Tucker has denied all allegations, and he has described the Baltimore Banner's reporting as 'desperate tabloid fodder.' With the length of Tucker's suspension now known, Tucker could seek to find work late this season when he's reinstated. Tucker, though, is coming off the worst season of his 13-year career. He missed 10 total kicks in 2024, with his 73.3 conversion rate on field goals ranking 31st in the NFL. Tucker, 35, was on a Hall of Fame trajectory with seven Pro Bowls and a 90.2 conversion rate on his field goal attempts in his first 12 seasons. He holds the NFL record for the longest field goal, kicking a 66-yard game-winner in 2021. Tucker signed a four-year, $22 million contract extension in August 2022, making him the league's highest-paid kicker at the time.

Jeff Bezos's Venice wedding celebrations begin with star-studded party after fresh protests
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's star-studded wedding celebrations in Venice have begun, with VIP guests including the Kardashians descending on the Italian city. The billionaire Amazon founder and his journalist fiancee waved to onlookers as they left a luxury hotel to travel to their pre-wedding reception by water taxi on Thursday evening. Hollywood star Orlando Bloom was seen flashing a peace sign to fans as he left Venice's Gritti Palace Hotel and he was soon followed by TV presenter Oprah Winfrey, who smiled and waved. Kim and Khloe Kardashian travelled to the reception with their mother Kris Jenner - who snapped a picture of the pair on a water taxi - and other notable figures in town for the nuptials include Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. Some 200-250 A-list guests from showbusiness, politics and finance are expected to attend the events, with the wedding and its parts estimated to cost €40m-€48m (£34m-£41m). Bezos, his soon-to-be wife and their famous guests have taken over numerous locations in the city, with the couple staying in the luxury Aman hotel, where rooms go for at least €4,000 per night. The first of the weekend's many wedding parties is taking place in the cloisters of Madonna dell'Orto, a medieval church that hosts masterpieces by 16th century painter Tintoretto. While the couple and their A-list guests were all smiles, some in Venice are not happy about the wedding - with protesters seeing it as an example of the city being gift-wrapped for ultra-rich outsiders. Read more: An activist climbed one of the poles in the main St Mark's Square on Thursday, unfurling a banner which said: "The 1% ruins the world." Elsewhere, a life-size mannequin of clutching an Amazon box was dropped into one of the city's famous canals. In a bid to keep demonstrators away from Thursday's party, the city council banned pedestrians and water traffic from the area surrounding the venue, from 4.30pm local time to midnight. The couple will exchange their vows on Friday, on the small island of San Giorgio, opposite St Mark's Square. Another party will follow on Saturday - the venue for which was changed at the last-minute earlier this week.
