VTuber Riley banned from Twitch amid aimbot accusations after viral Battlefield 6 clip

A Battlefield 6 streamer who shot to sudden online fame during the game's first open beta has been hit with a Twitch ban after being accused of cheating. According to Dexerto, on August 8, VTuber Rileycs posted gameplay clips to X, showing herself landing what many viewers called 'insane' shots. The footage exploded online, racking up over 26 million views in days. Battlefield 6 VTuber Rileycs hinted that her Twitch suspension would last for one day.(X/@rileycs_) But the hype quickly turned ugly. Users began accusing Riley of using aimbots, with one particular moment fueling most of the backlash. At the 13-second mark in the viral clip, Riley downs an enemy, spins 180 degrees, and locks her crosshair on another opponent, one not visible on screen except for a blip on the mini-map. 'Nice aimbot there, amazing flip around and perfect aiming right for the enemy… that is behind a rock,' one critic wrote. Another said, 'Bro, at 13 seconds, you literally locked on to another player you had no way of seeing, hitting, or even knowing that he existed. You are a dirty cheater.' Visitors were met with a plain message: 'This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service," reports Dexerto. The ban came even after Riley tried to counter the allegations with handcam footage. On X, she told followers she would be 'unbanned later today,' hinting that it was a one-day suspension. That lines up with Twitch's policy for first-time offenders caught cheating in games - a rule that has long been a sore point for many in the community. Also read: Reasonable Doubt Season 3: Lori Harvey to portray Chelsea in Hulu show Cheating fight ramps up in Battlefield 6 beta As for EA, there is no official word on whether Riley's game account was suspended. But cheating has already been a major issue for Battlefield 6. The game's new anti-cheat system, Javelin, has reportedly blocked over 300,000 attempts to cheat and logged more than 100,000 player reports in the first 48 hours of the beta, as per Dexerto. FAQs Why was Rileycs banned from Twitch? She was suspended after being accused of cheating in Battlefield 6. How long was the Twitch ban? Riley claimed it would last just one day. What moment sparked the cheating claims? A 180-degree turn and instant aim on a hidden enemy in her viral clip led to the cheating claims. Has EA banned her game account? EA has not confirmed any action against her Battlefield 6 account. How many cheaters has Battlefield 6 blocked so far? The Javelin anti-cheat system has stopped over 300,000 cheating attempts in two days.

Is Battlefield 6's Javelin anti-cheat system better than Black Ops 6's Ricochet?

Image via Electronic Arts. Since the arrival of Battlefield 6, this highly anticipated title has totally rocked the gaming industry as thousands of players dive into it, despite the game being in its beta phase. According to SteamDB, Battlefield 6 peaked with over half-a-million players, which even beat the all-time record of Call of Duty as well. Now, it seems the upcoming title is going to leave behind Call of Duty yet again, in another sector, in which the latter has recently been compromised more than any game in recent times. Yes, in terms of the anti-cheat system. Battlefield 6's Javelin vs Black Ops 6 's Ricochet - which one is better? Call of Duty needs to improve Ricochet in Black Ops 7 in order to beat Battlefield 6. | Image via Activision. As Battlefield 6 was hovering with an overwhelming player count that no one expected for a beta phase, it was a matter of time that hackers would stick their heads into this flock, and they did. But no one would have ever thought that Javelin, the anti-cheat system of Battlefield 6 which hasn't been released fully yet, would slam over a staggering 333,000 hacking attempts during the first weekend of the open beta. However, still many players faced hackers in their lobbies even after that, but the infestation was way lesser than the previous attempts before Javelin took charge. Despite Battlefield 6 beta still suffering from hacking woes, fans can already dream about a cleaner gameplay experience when the game finally gets released on October 10, 2025. Now this is when people started comparing Battlefield 6's Javelin with Black Ops 6's Ricochet. The comparison between these huge franchises has been a long standing battle now. So, it was quite evident that fans would leave no opportunity to compare these titles in any terms. That is why Ricochet is now hugely criticized because of its inability to stop hackers. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone are one of most popular games right now, and probably get infested by the hackers the most. Ricochet has proven to be a worthy anti-cheat system in the past, but even after Activision's assurance, the game is still massacred with hackers. So, in conclusion, Javelin takes a lead ahead of Ricochet right now.. But as we are also approaching another highly anticipated release, Black Ops 7, CoD fans are rooting for the developers to make Ricochet stronger. And that needs to be done at all cost, if BO7 doesn't want to lose its fight against BF6. Battlefield 6 Open Beta invaded by cheaters and hacks just hours after launch

(Image via Battlefield Studios) The long-awaited Battlefield 6 Open Beta dropped its early access on August 7, but instead of just testing the new maps and modes, some players are getting an unwelcome preview of another Battlefield problem: cheaters. Less than 24 hours in, social media is already filling up with clips of wallhacks, ESP outlines, and suspiciously godlike aim. And for many fans, it's déjà vu in the worst way. Cheaters Arrive on Day One When EA revealed the open beta schedule and promised that Battlefield 6 would launch with its new Javelin anti-cheat system , players were cautiously optimistic. This was, after all, the franchise's first major anti-cheat overhaul, something fans had been begging for. But optimism didn't last long. As soon as early access servers went live, clips began circulating showing blatant cheating: enemies tracked through walls, instant headshots across impossible distances, and ESP boxes hovering over every opponent. For a game still weeks away from launch, it's not exactly the kind of first impression EA wanted. Is Javelin Anti-Cheat Even Active? The situation has sparked a debate within the community. Some players suspect Javelin isn't fully enabled in the beta, allowing hackers to slip through while EA gathers backend data for tuning. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Write Better, Work Smarter With This Desktop App Grammarly Install Now Undo Others argue it's already running, but like any anti-cheat, it's struggling to keep up with freshly made hacks designed to bypass it. EA producer Alexia Christofi addressed one viral clip directly, confirming that the player in question had been banned. While that's reassuring, it also proves that cheaters aren't just rare anomalies — they're actively in the beta. Why Cheating Hurts More in a Beta An open beta is meant to showcase the best of what's coming. Players test maps, try new weapons, and get hyped for launch. But when cheaters flood in this early, it poisons that excitement. For some, it's enough to walk away entirely, and they're not shy about saying they'll 'just go back to COD.' This early frustration can snowball. First impressions matter, and for live-service shooters, retaining players after launch is often harder than attracting them in the first place. EA has gone on record saying Battlefield 6 is its most ambitious investment in the franchise yet, but anti-cheat failure at launch could burn through that goodwill fast.
