The world's favourite grandmother or aunt, Mabel 'Madea' Simmons, is making her return to our screens!
US producer, writer, and actor, Tyler Perry, is reprising his role as the infamous aunt and grandmother after Netflix made an announcement and released a trailer on Monday, May 12, for an upcoming comedy film, 'Madea's Destination Wedding'.
Madea's nephew and his ex-wife are shocked to learn that their daughter, Tiffany (played by Diamond White), is engaged to a rapper and their wedding is in two weeks in the Bahamas.
This ultimately forces the family to rush to the destination wedding, however, tensions rise as Tiffany starts to doubt her fiancé, Zavier (played by Xavier Smalls).

The cast for 'Madea's Destination Wedding' includes Perry, White, Smalls, Cassie Davis, Jermaine Harris, Tamela Mann, and David Mann as well as Taja V. Simpson.
This movie marks Perry's sixth film being released by Netflix.

Season 5 of 'Stranger Things' promises emotional finale
After a three-year wait, the final season of Stranger Things is almost here. Netflix officially confirmed at its 2025 TUDUM event that Season 5 will drop in three thrilling volumes this November and December, culminating in a New Year's Day finale. The first four episodes will premiere on Wednesday, 27 November 2025, at 3 am South African Standard Time (SAST). Volume 2, consisting of three episodes, will follow on Boxing Day, Friday, 26 December. The grand finale, Volume 3, will be available on Thursday, 1 January 2026. This will give South African viewers a dramatic start to the new year, according to Radio Times. So here it goes: 'All roads will lead down the N3 south this week' as runners make their way to the 98th running of the world-famous Comrades Marathon. It is an annual pilgrimage that brings together people from all walks of life to tackle arguably the most gruelling road race in the world – the approximately 90km run between KZN's two biggest cities. Two years ago, Wiersma announced himself at Comrades with a compelling debut run that saw him finish a close second to defending champion Dijana – both runners dipping under David Gatebe's previous Down Run best time of 5:18:19. Dijana clocked 5:13:58, with Wiersma flying in just three seconds later. It was one of the closest finishes in Comrades Marathon history, with Dijana cheered on by the crowd as he sprinted towards the tape, Wiersma looming large behind him.
