Ministry of Information condemns attack on Iranian Broadcasting & Television Building
Sana'a - SABA:
The Ministry of Information in Sana'a strongly condemned the aggressive act that targeted the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in the capital, Tehran, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of media professionals and workers in the media sector.
In a statement issued by the Ministry, the attack was described as a blatant extension of the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and as a flagrant violation of media freedom and a serious infringement on the rights of journalists.
The Ministry pointed out that this attack is a desperate attempt to silence the free and independent voice of the Iranian people, who reject American hegemony, the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, and the conspiracy to divide the Middle East. It also considered the attack as evidence of the effectiveness of Iranian media in the decisive battle against the Israeli enemy.
The Ministry affirmed its full solidarity with Iranian media, the journalists, and the staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, expressing heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and wishing a swift recovery for the injured.
The Ministry called on international media organizations, journalist unions, and institutions concerned with media freedom to condemn this blatant aggression and to pressure relevant international bodies to bring the Israeli leaders responsible for this criminal act to justice.
