Two Michigan men facing several charges in connection with shoplifting incident in Milford
Two men from Michigan are facing several charges following a shoplifting incident in Milford.
According to Milford Police, on March 2, officers responded to a Target located at 250 Fortune Blvd. in Milford for a report of a high-dollar shoplifting incident.
On March 3, detectives learned that the incident at the Target was part of an organized retail crime that had also affected Lowe's in our town.
Detectives were able to track the suspects back to Flint, Michigan. On March 6th, 2025, Flint Michigan Police Detectives were able to positively identify the suspects involved who are believed to be responsible for several hundreds of thousands of dollars in merchandise theft across the country.
Michael Page, 21 of Flint, Michigan and Jhlon Cabell, 18 of Flint, Michigan, and two juvenile suspects were charged with multiple crimes and are believed to be responsible for approximately $6,000 in theft at Target.
On March 10, 2025, Cabell and three others were arrested by Louisiana State Police near Beaux Bridge, Louisiana on multiple drug charges. The vehicle the suspects were in matched a 2024 Jeep Compass rental vehicle caught on CCTV during the Milford Thefts. Inside the vehicle police found several, believed to be stolen items.

Page is being charged with Shoplifting, Larceny over $1200 by false pretense, conspiracy, attempted larceny, and contributing to the delinquency of a child. Cabell is being charged with organized retail theft, attempted larceny, and contributing to the delinquency of a child.

‘Both great people': Friends grapple with discovery of sunken boat, two bodies found in Cape Cod Bay
Friends of a Cape Cod couple are grappling with the news of two bodies found and a sunken boat located on the ocean floor. Shawn Arsenault, 64, and his girlfriend, Felicia Daley, 54, left Rock Harbor in Orleans Sunday to go clamming in a 30-foot vessel called 'Seahorse'. The harbormaster noticed Arsenault's truck still in the parking lot on Tuesday morning, and an intensive search began. A recreational vessel dragging its fishing gear spotted the wreckage Wednesday afternoon two miles off the coast of Brewster. Authorities brought the remains of two people to shore in Dennis hours later. 'They were both great people,' said friend Patrick McLaughlin. 'He was a loud character with his jokes, and she would do anything to help you out.' Authorities had not formally identified the bodies found as of Wednesday night. However, friends said they didn't need official confirmation to grasp the tragic outcome. 'They were just going out to make a few dollars. The ocean said, no, not today,' said friend Scott Amerault. Amerault told Boston 25 News Daley held a special place in his heart ever since they went to Nauset Regional High School together. 'She will always be remembered,' he said. 'Heart of gold but salty as hell.' Witnesses on land told the Coast Guard they potentially saw items, including a GPS, being thrown overboard before the boat went missing. Those accounts are adding to speculation about what happened. 'We like to stress that mariners file voyage plans with loved ones so somebody knows where you're going and how long you're going to be out for,' said Lt. Quinn LeCain with the U.S. Coast Guard Sector SE New England. State and federal agencies are now working together to figure out how to handle the underwater wreck. Hingham family files Title IX complaint after student creates deepfake image of their daughter
Megan Mancini filed a Title IX complaint in Hingham Public Schools after she says her daughter was a victim of sexual harassment. Mancini says another student created a Deepfake pornographic image of her daughter using artificial intelligence. 'She was devastated, I mean she definitely felt violated, she wanted something to be done about it, and at that point we had notified the school, the police,' said Mancini. After Mancini filed a complaint about the incident in January, Hingham schools launched an investigation. After about four and a half months, the district sent a letter to Mancini, saying that while the student's conduct was 'inappropriate and hurtful, there is insufficient evidence to conclude it occurred in the District's schools.' 'The image was shared in the school hallways, amongst other students during school hours, and it was also shared via text,' said Mancini. Mancini was disappointed to learn the student responsible for creating that nude photo of her daughter would not be disciplined at Hingham Middle School. 'It makes me feel like the school failed,' said Mancini. Legal expert Peter Elikann says families could press charges for this under the state's new Revenge Porn and Sexting law. 'The word needs to go out among young people that you can be criminally prosecuted in juvenile court for sending nude images of someone else without their consent,' said Elikann. He says that includes Deepfakes or AI-generated photos. 'The fact that people can create all kinds of fake pornography online, and young people seem to know how to do it, it's really hit a huge crisis point,' said Elikann. 'I think it's important to have swift action, and I think we missed that critical window,' said Mancini. Mancini hopes school leaders can start to take more action on these cases to prevent them from happening again, even if districts claim not to have jurisdiction. 'There was not one communication sent out from the school department or the school administration about this issue, and for you know, a heads up, awareness to parents that this is going on, this is going on in middle school, and it's going to get nothing but worse,' said Mancini. This conduct is becoming such a problem that the state has a youth diversion program to teach minors about the dangers of sharing nude photos, if they're prosecuted in cases like this. 5 hurt as ambulance, police SUV crash blocks apart in Manchester
Five people were injured in nearly back-to-back crashes near Elliot Hospital involving an ambulance, a police SUV and two other cars Wednesday. An AMR ambulance and a Volvo wagon collided around 11:40 a.m. near the entrance to the hospital and the intersection of Tarrytown Road and Nelson Street, Manchester fire officials said. The ambulance was responding to a call when the collision caused the driver to lose control and the rig rolled over. Manchester Police said the ambulance was entering the intersection with its lights and siren activated when the accident happened. The two medics in the front seat of the ambulance were trapped inside, but fire crews helped them remove the front windshield so they could get out. They were taken to the hospital for evaluation. Police said the driver of the Volvo reported no injuries. While crews were working at that crash scene, a Ford Explorer driven by a Manchester Police officer collided with a Jeep Compass near the intersection of Valley and Jewett streets, just a few blocks over and near the other side of the Elliot. The Jeep rolled over and crews had to extricate the driver and a passenger who were trapped inside, fire officials said. Doors were removed from the driver's side of the Jeep. Police said the officer and the two occupants of the Jeep were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The identities of the people involved were not released. Anyone who witnessed either accident is asked to call Manchester Police at 603-668-8711.
