Ashish Bende
, won him the Best Debut Film by a director. 'Naal 2', directed by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti, was named Best Children's Film. In the Best Child Artist category (Feature Film), Treesha Thosar, Shrinivas Pokale, and Bhargav for Naal 2, and Kabir Khandare for 'Gypsy', were jointly awarded for their performances.
I enjoy working with children. Directing children is both easy and challenging. Plus, it's important to be patient with them
— Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti, director of Naal 2
I was very young when I got my first National Award for Naal. This time, I truly understand the significance of this honour. This award is not just mine, it's a reward for the entire team and my parents, who have been a constant support throughout the journey
— Shrinivas Pokale, actor, Naal 2
I am extremely happy as a father. Kabir may not understand how big this moment is right now but I am sure he will in time. I have closely witnessed how hard he worked to bring this character to life
— Shashi Khandare, director of Gypsy and Kabir Khandare's father
While it's encouraging to see national recognition, these awards also highlight the struggle to attract audiences to theatres. I believe Marathi cinema isn't lacking in content or technical quality, but we need to reflect on why it's not working commercially
— Sujay Dahake, director of Shyamchi Aai
