Cherries face Bridgwater while Sports host Southampton in National League
THE Cherries will travel to Keynsham to face Bridgwater United while Bournemouth Sports host Southampton Women in the National League this Sunday.
Table topping Cherries will be aiming to extend their winning streak to 14 out of 14 games against the team placed in seventh in the table.
Steve Cuss's side beat their hosts 7-0 just a couple of weeks ago, thanks to goals from Helen Bleazard, Kenni Thompson, Amber Treweek and braces from Eloise Hall and Gemma McGuinness.
The game this weekend has been moved to Keynsham Town's home, the AJN Stadium, at the request of the hosts after it was due to be played at Fairfax Park in Bridgwater.
And the Cherries have a good recent record at Keynsham, beating Town 3-0 there at the start of the month, just a week before they beat Bridgwater at home.
Sports face a huge game in their fight to avoid relegation from the National League Division One South West.
(Image: Bournemouth Sports FC) They face bottom-placed Southampton, who have avoided defeat in just two of their 17 games this season, winning once and drawing once.
Sports are just outside the relegation zone, two points clear of Portishead Town, after they were beaten by Bristol Rovers last weekend.
The Cherries were due to play in the Hampshire Senior Cup quarter final last weekend, but Bursledon withdrew from the competition.
Cuss's team will visit Moneyfields in the semi final of the cup at the John Jenkins Stadium on Sunday, March 16, with the winners set to face either Sholing or Southampton U21s in the final.
This is a repeat of last year's semi-final, which the Cherries won on penalties after a goalless draw, before Bournemouth beat Southampton U21s at the EBB Stadium in Aldershot in the final to lift the cup.
The two sides will meet in the league on Wednesday March 5, before the semi-final.

The Results of the Rainmakers Golf Ball Test In the video above, Rainmakers' Nick Peres does a fun golf ball test that's meant to give some guidance for players everywhere. While it's not overly scientific, it's a simple way to see how used balls perform versus new balls. Peres explains his testing method. 'I'm going to hit 20 shots with both balls [old and new], and will compare the differences in carry, ball speed, and spin rate,' he shares. 'I'll then take the averages of the five best shots from each ball.' Advertisement So how did the old and new ball hold up in this simple golf ball test? Peres says he didn't feel much difference when hitting both, but that the data showed some significant contrasts. 'The brand new ball carried six yards further on average, had 3 miles per hour more of ball speed,' Peres discloses. 'Lastly, and the most interesting part, is that the old golf ball actually had a little bit more spin than the brand new one.' While Peres admits his ball-striking isn't pro-level — which may have an impact on the golf ball test results — nonetheless, the data suggests using an old ball during rounds may, in fact, negatively impact your overall performance. So if you're someone who just grabs the first used ball from your bag before teeing off each round, make sure to make some adjustments in club choice in order to avoid being short on every shot! For the first time in the super regional era, no team that reached the College World Series in 2024 will appear in the tournament this year. College World Series schedule The 2025 College World Series will begin Friday, June 13, and run through Monday, June 23 at the latest. Two games are scheduled each day from Friday, June 13 through Wednesday, June 18. The first game will start at 2 p.m. ET each of those days, with the second game starting at 7 p.m. ET. The College World Series has not released which teams will play in those games yet. If necessary, games will be played Thursday, June 19, ahead of the finals. Possible times have not been announced if games need to be played Thursday. Advertisement Game 1 of the finals is slated for Saturday, June 21 at 7 p.m. ET.
