That quote from the 1931 film adaptation of Frankenstein ushered in an era of classic monster films for the production company Universal Pictures. Now, almost 100 years later, it is helping Universal herald a new era of theme parks in the US state of Florida.
Opening on May 22, Universal Epic Universe is the third theme park at the Universal Orlando Resort – fourth if you count Universal Volcano Bay water park – and the first major traditional park to open in the state since 1999's Universal Islands of Adventure.
Located about 5 miles (8km) southeast of the existing Universal resort,
the new complex includes Epic Universe , as well as three hotels. There is plenty of expansion space for future additions.
In a media preview, five of Epic Universe's fantastic worlds – Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic and How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk – were open recently for exploration.

Netflix trailer for Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein with Oscar Isaac wows fans

Even as Netflix teased the long-awaited final seasons of Stranger Things and Squid Game, fans appeared to be also transfixed by the trailer of the streaming platform's upcoming Guillermo del Toro film Frankenstein. Advertisement Watched some 3 million times on YouTube within hours of its release at the weekend, the trailer prompted much excitement among fans, but also some fears that the adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel might not get a cinematic release. 'My jaw was on the floor the entire time. It's chillingly gorgeous, can't wait for this one,' one person commented. ' Guillermo Del Toro is too good for Netflix. This needs a theatre release asap,' another wrote. The scientist Dr Frankenstein is played by Oscar Isaac, while his creature made up of corpse parts is embodied by Saltburn star Jacob Elordi. The trailer suggests that the Mexican director is interested in both powerful imagery and telling an emotional, intimate story. 'Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley's classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation,' Netflix writes.

Europe's first Universal theme park to be built in UK. Harry Potter fans can rejoice

Universal will build its first European theme park in Britain, Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced, unveiling a deal which could create thousands of jobs and attract millions of tourists. Advertisement 'Today we closed the deal on a multibillion-pound investment that will see Bedford home to one of the biggest entertainment parks in Europe,' Starmer said, referring to the English market town north of London. No precise figures were given for the accord, which was struck with US communications giant Comcast, which owns Universal, after years of discussions with UK leaders. There are currently five Universal theme parks around the globe. The first was opened in 1964 in Hollywood, California, based around the original film studios, followed later by a park in Orlando, Florida. Three others are in Asia: in Beijing, China; Osaka, Japan; and Singapore. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the deal with Comcast, owners of Universal, to build the theme park.
