Israeli government ‘very upset' after Australian sanctions
Former Israeli ambassador to Australia Mark Sofer says the Israeli government is 'very upset' with Australia after following several other countries in placing sanctions on Israel. 'All this type of positing, it's quite abominable for almost all of us,' Mr Sofer told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. 'As far as how Australia is viewed in Israel … the government obviously, as you have seen, is obviously very upset with the Australian position. 'If you're looking at the wider public, the general public, I'm not 100 per cent they are tuned in or honed in on Australia and its approach to the Middle East and Israel.'
