India-Pakistan relations have historically been tense, and they remain strained till today. Tensions escalated sharply after India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, which targeted terror camps in Pakistan and PoJK in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. Furthermore, Operation Sindoor led to the deaths of several terrorists from groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. India and Pakistan reached an understanding on the cessation of hostilities on May 10.
Following the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the fortunes of Asia's two wealthiest businessmen, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, have seen a notable upswing. Mukesh Ambani has now entered the exclusive club of billionaires with a net worth exceeding $100 billion. Meanwhile, Gautam Adani has rejoined the ranks of the world's top 20 richest individuals.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, RIL Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh D. Ambani now holds the 17th spot globally with a net worth of $105 billion. Interestingly, just a week ago on May 9, his net worth stood at $99 billion. In just seven days, his wealth saw a sharp jump of $6 billion, reflecting the recent boost in market confidence and business performance. As per a TV9 Hindi report, Mukesh Ambani's net worth saw an increase of over Rs 51,000 crore in a short span.
On the other hand, Gautam Adani also saw a strong rise in his net worth. Interestingly, his gains over the last five trading days were even higher than Mukesh Ambani's. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani's net worth was $74.4 billion on May 9, which jumped to $83.6 billion by May 16. That's a sharp increase of $9.2 billion. As per a TV9 Hindi report, Gautam Adani's net worth saw an increase of over Rs 79,000 crore in a short span.
