Shocking new video captures the moment an Italian crypto millionaire escaped his captors after police said he was brutally tortured inside a posh SoHo townhouse.
The footage, obtained by NBC New York, shows battered bitcoin trader Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan shoeless and distressed as he runs up to an NYPD traffic cop Friday after fleeing the Prince Street house of horrors – where he was allegedly held and brutalized for his crypto password, authorities said.
Cops have charged Kentucky crypto king John Woeltz with kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, assault and weapons possession in the shocking case.
On Tuesday, bitcoin trader William Duplessie surrendered to police for questioning after being identified as a person of interest.
Woeltz's assistant, Italian beauty Beatrice Folchi, was arrested Friday but released after Manhattan prosecutors declined to prosecute pending further investigation.

Woman accused of punching 73-year-old subway rider in NYC train station

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A woman is accused of attacking a 73-year-old subway rider in a Manhattan train station last month, police said. Bronx resident Marie McWilliams, 36, was arrested Tuesday and charged with assault in connection with the May 1 incident in the Fifth Avenue-53rd Street subway station in Midtown, according to the NYPD. McWilliams allegedly started yelling at the 73-year-old woman while they were on the Manhattan-bound E train before repeatedly punching the woman as she got off the train at around 4:30 p.m., authorities said. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The suspect got on a Queens-bound E train after the incident, police said. McWilliams' arraignment was pending Tuesday. The arrest was announced the same day that authorities said crime in the city's subway system has decreased, especially on trains and platforms. Transit crime is down about 5% this year. But when it comes to assaults, the primary cause is mental illness, police said. 'We have done a very good job targeting areas that we do see more prolific people who assault individuals in transit,' police said. NYPD is trying to get arrest warrant for cruel city-funded babysitter caught on video beating tots with belt: sources

The NYPD is trying to get an arrest warrant for the cruel city-funded babysitter caught on video beating two helpless Bronx boys with a belt – nearly a month after the family reported the heinous child abuse, law enforcement sources said Tuesday. Cops have been staking out the area surrounding the home of 24-year-old La'keysha Jackson, who was allegedly caught on video beating the crying children, 4 and 6, nearly 60 times inside the family's Morrisania building on May 6, according to the sources. The NYPD was there as recently as Tuesday morning – but Jackson was nowhere to be found and could not be apprehended, the law enforcement sources said. 5 The NYPD is trying to get an arrest warrant for La'keysha Jackson, 24, caught on video beating two young boys with a belt. Courtesy Daniel Szalkiewicz If an arrest warrant is issued when a grand jury convenes on Wednesday, then cops can forcibly enter Jackson's apartment and take her into custody, according to the sources. The footage obtained by The Post of the heartbreaking scene shows the callous caretaker whipping the underwear-clad children's behinds and restraining their tiny arms as they try in vain to deflect the blows. 'Guess what's about to happen?' she can be heard saying, apparently upset that the two older kids, aged 4 and 6, did not clean up their room. 5 Police have tried but so far failed to track down Jackson (pictured), the sources said. Facebook / Lakeysha Jackson 'Belt?' one of the young boys answers as Jackson, wearing a T-shirt with the words 'Heaven Sent,' pulls a thick brown belt out of a cross-body bag. 'You're right — I warned y'all,' she replies cheerily, chillingly adding: 'Drop 'em.' Another clip shows the babysitter bizarrely wore a grotesque Halloween mask from gory slasher flick 'Terrifier II' and a Santa Claus outfit to apparently frighten the children, footage shows. The youngest boy, 2, was also a victim of Jackson's abuse, according to the family. 5 Jackson allegedly beat the older boys, 4 and 6, with a belt because they did not clean their room, sources said. Courtesy Daniel Szalkiewicz 'Hitting the kids with the [clothes] hangers, hitting them with belts, throwing the baby,' recounted their mother, Geraldine Jaramillo, who also claimed that the babysitter doled out emotional and verbal abuse to the children. Jackson was employed by home aid provider Selfhelp, contracted by the troubled ACS, through its homemaking program that provides struggling city families with a babysitter to help with caretaking, according to Jaramillo and documentation shared with The Post. 5 Jackson also apparently dressed in a grotesque Halloween mask and a Santa Claus outfit to scare the poor kids, video shows. Courtesy Daniel Szalkiewicz An ACS spokesperson said that Jackson no longer works for Selfhelp and that ACS was working with the NYPD in its investigation. 'We are taking these despicable actions very seriously, and we have commenced a review of the contracted provider's procedures,' the rep said. A Selfhelp spokesperson confirmed that Jackson had been terminated and that the company is fully cooperating with the NYPD, claiming that it performs drug testing and background checks on all their workers. 5 The children's mother, Geraldine Jaramillo, said her boys are now traumatized and more aggressive with each other. Stephen Yang The traumatized kids have since become intensely aggressive with each other, according to their mom. 'I really want to get to the bottom of this,' Jaramillo said. 'Just seeing them — it's like they are completely different kids. They are going through a lot. They may not verbalize it, but they are.'

Sunderland make Le Fee move permanent for record fee

Enzo Le Fee (right) has joined Sunderland on a permanent deal from Roma (Alberto PIZZOLI) Sunderland have signed Enzo Le Fee from Roma for a reported club record fee after the French midfielder helped the Black Cats gain promotion back to the Premier League. The 25-year-old arrived at the Stadium of Light on a six-month loan in January and was a key player as Sunderland won the Championship play-offs after finishing fourth in the table. Advertisement Le Fee has penned a four-year deal and will cost a reported £19.3million ($26 million) after a clause in his loan deal was activated once Sunderland sealed promotion. "I said before the play-off final that my heart was in Sunderland - I wanted to stay and this made it the most important game of my life. Together, we did it," Le Fee told the club website. "From the moment I arrived, I have enjoyed my football, my team-mates and our supporters. We shared an incredible experience and now we get to take the next step." Le Fee had previously worked with Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris at Lorient before joining Rennes and a big money move to Roma less than 12 months ago. However, he made just 10 appearances for the Italian giants before being loaned out. kca/bsp
