Even the Notorious needs a pass: Viral video shows McGregor left outside Longitude gates

Extra.ie07-07-2025
'You're not on the list, you can't come in' apparently applies to even the nation's best-known celebrity, as MMA fighter Conor McGregor seemed unable to get into Longitude without a ticket last night.
The multi-millionaire sportsman McGregor turned up at the festival in Marley Park on Sunday night in one of his flashy sports cars.
But even though he's one of the most recognisable faces in the country, and had his nickname stitched on his hoodie, it didn't appear to be enough to get him past security without a VIP pass. A file image of Conor McGregor. Pic: Dave Benett/WireImage
The Crumlin-born fighter was seen strutting about with his mobile phone stuck to his ear as security guards looked on.
McGregor's attendance -outside- Longitude could have been to collect his mate 50 Cent who was playing out the last set at the summer festival.

Ahead of his rap gig at Marlay Park, 50 Cent showed up at McGregors Black Forge Pub in Crumlin.
McGregor and 50 Cent have, by all accounts, kissed and made up after the pair of celebrities had been embroiled in an unseemly eight-year spat.
The pair's encounter comes after a history of online beef, which ignited around McGregor's 2017 boxing match against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas.
McGregor had famously taunted during a press event: '50 Cent's a b****. You and 50 are two fake money b****es. He's bankrupt, and you're about to be.' A file image of Conor McGregor. Pic: Arnold Jerocki/FilmMagic
The American artist, better known as Curtis Jackson, dropped into The Black Forge Inn where McGregor was on hand to greet him with the now-best-bro's sharing a warm hug.
And it was a case of double celebration as 50 turned 50 on Sunday night so he celebrated his milestone birthday in Dublin City.
It is not clear if McGregor managed to convince the security team at Marlay Park to allow him into the festival.

Brooklyn Beckham's wedding vow renewal branded ‘a gratuitous display of obscene wealth' by family

BROOKYLN Beckham's vow renewal with wife Nicola Peltz has been branded "a gratuitous display of obscene wealth" by his family. None of the Beckhams were invited to the lavish ceremony on August 2 — presided over by Nicola's billionaire dad Nelson — and only read about it on an American website. 5 The couple's vow renew has been branded 'a gratuitous display of obscene wealth' Credit: Instagram 5 None of the Beckham family were invited to the lavish ceremony on August 2 Credit: Instagram 5 The Beckham family have said to be questioning the need to renew his vows Credit: Instagram Now a source close to the Beckham family have said to be questioning the need to renew his vows after just three years. One friend said: 'They would understand if it was, say, 10 years down the line - maybe even five. But three?! It seems like quite a gratuitous display of obscene wealth. "Also, if Brooklyn wanted to create a really cute memory, why couldn't he have just let his family know their plans first? 'To be honest, although there have been moments of rapprochement, this hostility dates back to 2021, around six months before the original wedding. "The dynamics have just never really gelled. 'Of course David and Victoria want Brooklyn to be happy and clearly he is wildly in love still, but a lot of people have been hurt. "It is a very sad situation and everyone fears there is no way back now. It is done.' It was also revealed that even Brooklyn's grandparents were excluded from the special day - despite their close relationship. Yesterday a source said: 'This was the final kick in the teeth for David and Victoria. David and Victoria Beckham's agony as family feud explodes into WW3 and pals say 'Brooklyn has totally cut them off' 'Seeing Nelson having such a pivotal role at the ceremony was heartbreaking for David especially. "Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding, or were invited. 'His grandparents are devastated too as Brooklyn has always been so close to them. 'It feels cruel and spiteful. This is no longer a game. It has gone beyond all that. 'This is a family who feel they have lost their precious boy - and see no way back. Honestly, they are now questioning why he even wants to keep the 'Beckham' surname - will he revert to Peltz? August 2nd 2025 - is this the day Brooklyn formally declared himself no longer a part of the Beckham family? 'It certainly feels like it.' In the photos shared by the couple on Instagram, they are surrounded by Nicola's family and friends. The actress looked stunning in a repurposed dress which her mum Claudia wore when she married tycoon Nelson in 1985. She also sported the same original £1.3million ring. Brooklyn's original wedding with Nicola took place on Nelson's estate in Palm Beach, Florida, with Brooklyn's sister Harper among the bridesmaids. This time the couple chose Nelson's Westchester estate in New York as the backdrop. Alongside the images, the couple wrote: 'only love.' They also posted a video of their very casual proposal on TikTok alongside a song by Ysabelle Cuevas with the words: 'Lost in your eyes.' Brooklyn, who wore a suit with no tie, called the ceremony a 'really beautiful experience' which was all about creating a 'really cute memory' they would treasure forever. There had been a lot of tension before the original wedding. The Beckhams claim Nicola was a 'bridezilla' and hard work, while the Peltzes say their in-laws are 'tight'. Nicola also revealed Victoria reneged on a pledge to design her dress, infuriating the former Spice Girl. There were also claims Victoria hijacked the first dance. Earlier this year Brooklyn and Nicola were absent from the ex-Man United star's 50th birthday celebrations. He also recently U-turned on the inspiration behind his Cloud-23 hot sauce company - insisting it was named after the day he proposed to his US actress wife. Last year he said it was a nod to the shirt number worn by his dad, who invested heavily in the company. 5 Brooklyn's grandparents Jackie and Anthony Adams were not invited Credit: Splash News

Experts issue warning to Brit parents over the Labubu toys & the simple trick to check you haven't bought a ‘dodgy doll'

IT'S one of the most sought-after buys of this year. But now Brit parents have been issued an urgent warning over the viral Labubu toys. 3 Labubus have captured the heart of the internet and have sparked a frenzy Credit: AP 3 British authorities have seized hundreds of thousands of counterfeits - which can also pose a serious health risk Credit: 3 Authorities in the UK have started issuing warnings about the dupes Credit: Intellectual Property Labubus are undoubtedly the toy of 2025 - with big names, such as Rihanna, David Beckham, Kim Kardashian, Gemma Collins and Olivia Attwood showing off the little monsters. With their devilish toothy grins and wide eyes, Labubus have captured the heart of the internet and have sparked a frenzy, with mile-long queues lining up to get their hands on the toys. A single doll can set you back anywhere from £13.50 to £211 depending on the rarity of the design. But dodgy dealers looking to make a quick buck are using underhand tactics to profit off shoppers - and experts have warned the dodgy dolls pose a serious risk. read more on parenting CLASS ACT Parents racing to buy back to school essentials & they bag a haul for under £10 The ''dangerous counterfeits'' could pose a choking hazard for children, Hull City Council's Trading Standards team told Mail Online. Rogue traders are cashing in on their popularity by selling poor-quality versions with small parts that can easily detach. Hundred have been seized, but it is feared there could be many more still on sale across the nation. However, there are also easy ways to check if you have purchased a fake Labubu. The dodgy dolls tend to have matt packaging rather than glossy and more or less than the nine gnashers the original Labubus have. A different shape or size of the mouth can also be an indicator you've bought a dangerous counterfeit. Dramatic moment crowds join massive queue to grab viral Labubu dolls as latest doll craze sweeps across the world The quality of a fake Labubu will also be of poorer standard, like wobbly limbs and odd colours. To really know if you've got the real deal, buyers of newer editions will find a UV-detectable seal on the right foot. Under UV light, shoppers should see a silhouette of the specific Labubu model. It's understood more than 100,000 counterfeit dolls have already been seized by UK Border Force, arriving in the country in fast parcels or via air cargo. What are Labubu and why are they so popular? LABUBU is a brand of plushies designed by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung and loved by celebrities like Olivia Attwood, Dua Lipa and Rihanna. The brand made its debut in 2015, but skyrocketed in global popularity after hitting Pop Mart shelves in 2019. Pop Mart is a Chinese toy retailer, known for its collectible designer models that are often sold in a blind box format, meaning you don't know what you've got until you've opened it. After mammoth success overseas, the Labubu craze has now made its way to the UK. The first three months of 2025 were wildly successful for the brand, with Brits searching high and low to nab one of the quirky figurines. Since opening stores in London and Manchester over the last 12 months, Labubu dolls have become cult collectibles among grown British women. Labubus come in an array of vibrant colours, unique shapes and various sizes, spanning from plush toys to striking vinyl figures. They come as little toys you can hook on your handbag, as well as mega-sized figures and quirky home decorations. The "monster elves" are sold in blind boxes, meaning consumers can't see their new doll until it is unwrapped. This clever marketing tactic designed to build suspense has been deliberately exploited by counterfeiters who are packing the boxes with cheap dupes. The fake dolls are known as Lafufus and they are flooding the global market - selling for as little as £2.99. Councils have warned that children in Scotland and Wales have fallen ill following exposure to the dolls. Helen Barnham, Deputy Director of Enforcement at the Intellectual Property Office, told The Sun: "We're seeing criminals increasingly exploit viral toy trends, with counterfeit versions of popular products appearing within days of them going viral. "These counterfeit toys are unlikely to have undergone the rigorous safety testing required for genuine products and can pose serious safety risks. "Children's safety must always come first, and we encourage parents to always research products thoroughly and only purchase from trusted sources."

Onlookers told the Daily Mail how the presenter looked 'crestfallen' during the 'difficult time'. The snaps obtained by the publication show Cat without her wedding ring as she and hairdresser pal Ben Skervin tucked into dinner at restaurant Chiringuito de Garraf. Ben is a celebrity hairstylist and has worked with the likes of the Spice Girls, Mariah Carey and Madonna. A fellow diner said: 'Cat looked a bit down and a touch crestfallen, not her usual spritely self, which is understandable given her marriage split. 'Her accent was recognisable to a number of Brits at the restaurant, which is popular with celebrities, and she had interacted with a few British kids also dining there 'She clearly needed to be around her nearest and dearest during such a difficult time.' It comes after sources revealed that, after Cat was a no-show at the funeral of Patrick's mother in March, his family 'knew the marriage was over'. One said: 'Whatever rockiness was going on in the marriage, something as momentous as his mother's funeral, you would make up even temporarily and just put your 'best face' on as we say in Northern Ireland. "Cat obviously knew how close Patrick was to Mary and she should have come to be by his side, a hand on his shoulder as he buried his mother. Patrick Kielty 'didn't feel like an equal partner' in failed marriage to Cat Deeley - admitting 'rough patches' they had to work through 'The fact that she stayed in London and presented This Morning on the day, it's not been forgotten. At the time of Mary's funeral, Cat insisted she'd stayed in London to be with their sons Milo, seven, and James, five. A spokesman for Cat told the Mail: "Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day."
