Barcelona Vs Vissel Kobe Friendly Set To Go Ahead As Planned
Vissel Kobe issued a statement that averred that the match will be held as planned following careful discussions with the relevant parties.
La Liga champions Barcelona will play the pre-season exhibition against Japanese side Vissel Kobe on Sunday as planned, despite initially cancelling the fixture due to a serious case of contractual breaches from the promoter's end.
Vissel Kobe issued a statement that stated that the match will be held as planned following careful discussions with the relevant parties.
The Catalan side are scheduled to play Vissel Kobe on Sunday before travelling to South Korea to face FC Seoul on July 31 and subsequently Daegu FC on August 4.
Seul Ham, the General Manager of tour promoters D-Drive revealed, that the match between Vissel Kobe and FC Barcelona, was originally proposed by the Yasuda Group, the main sponsor of Real Sociedad, and was to be co-hosted locally in Japan. D-DRIVE was scheduled to receive full payment for the match today; however, the funds ultimately failed to arrive.
Instead, the Yasuda Group had repeatedly provided invalid and falsified documents, deceiving D-Drive by falsely claiming that the payment had already been transferred to Korea.
As a result of the fraudulent conduct, Rakuten's public image suffered significant damage.
Tour promoters, D-Drive, a South Korean-based firm, blamed the organisers in Japan and asserted that the Culers' trip to Seoul will go ahead as planned.
'All scheduled activities in South Korea will take place as planned, without any disruptions," the promoter said.
Unlike in Japan, in Korea, the promoter had fully prepared the matches and covered all related costs, with the exception of the flight costs, Ham added.

Al Nassr Close To Agreeing Deal For Chelsea Forward Joao Felix: Report
Al-Nassr are close to agreeing to a deal to sign Chelsea forward Joao Felix. The Portuguese is expected to join the Saudi club with a 44 million pound deal, according to a report. It is reported that Saudi Pro League giants are in touch with Felix's representatives and could reach an agreement in the next 24 to 48 hours. Felix's former club Benfica were previously in talks to re-sign the 25-year-old forward, but Al-Nassr have now made their move for Felix as they go all out to try and win the Saudi Pro League, according to a Sky Sports report. Should Felix depart, that would open the door for Chelsea to move for RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons. If a move is completed on time, Felix could join Ronaldo and the rest of the Al-Nassr squad for a friendly against Toulouse on Wednesday at the Untersberg-Arena in Grodig. The Portuguese star first joined Chelsea on loan during the winter transfer window of the 2022/23 season. During his time with the club, he made an impact by scoring four goals in 20 appearances which saw him return to the club. Chelsea then signed the Portugal international on a permanent deal from Atletico Madrid in a contract worth 46.3 million pounds, returning to Stamford Bridge after a promising loan stint. Felix began his professional journey at Benfica, where his impressive performances caught the eye of Atletico Madrid. In the summer of 2019, he made a high-profile move to Atletico Madrid, setting a record transfer fee for both clubs involved. His tenure at Atletico has been marked by notable successes, including winning the La Liga title. On the international stage, Felix has earned 45 caps for Portugal since his debut in 2019. Meanwhile, Chelsea are in advanced talks with Ajax over a deal for centre-back Jorrel Hato and have also held discussions over the signing of Leipzig's Simons.

Debutants Star As Barcelona Ease To 3-1 Win Over Vissel Kobe In Pre-Season
How Barcelona Beat Vissel Kobe? Joan Garcia, the new goalkeeper from Catalonia, featured in the first half and impressed with several key saves. Although he conceded a goal to Miyashiro just before halftime, Garcia's sharp reflexes kept Barcelona level for most of the opening period. He was unlucky on the goal, having parried the initial shot only for the rebound to be slotted home. Barça took 34 minutes to open their preseason account in a scrappy manner. Ferran Torres delivered a corner, and after Gavi's attempt was blocked, Eric García managed to get a toe on the ball, putting Barça ahead. Fielding a near full-strength starting XI, Barça dominated the game from the start against the J-League leaders, with Raphinha coming close a few times. Vissel Kobe mainly relied on counter-attacks and unexpectedly equalised just before half-time. Debutant goalkeeper Joan García made a brilliant one-on-one save, but couldn't stop Kobe's follow-up, resulting in Miyashiro ensuring the teams went level at the break. In the second half, Rashford, Bardghji, and La Masia product Jofre Torrents were introduced. Rashford and Jofre combined well on the left flank, displaying pace and creativity. It was Roony Bardghji who broke the deadlock in the 77th minute, curling a precise shot into the net after a well-constructed move involving Rashford and Lewandowski. Just two minutes later, Rashford and Jofre were replaced by Gerard Martín and debutant Pedro Fernandez 'Dro'. The young forward quickly made an impact, sealing the win with a well-struck volley from the edge of the box in the final minutes.
