In March the singer took a DNA test to prove he was not the father.
Charlotte later told The Sun she had doubts about the accuracy of the paternity test.
Today, Conor appeared on ITV's This Morning and opened up on what he said has been one of the worst years of his life.
He revealed his already poor mental health spiralled, telling This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Paddy McGuinness: "It was difficult to remain silent.
"I was instantly painted as a dead-beat dad. My comments on my social media were all about that."
Asked why he wanted to speak out now, Conor said: "Realistically, one of the main reasons is, now is the right time.
"As you said, the last year has been really difficult and mental health is something I have struggled with for a huge portion of my life.
"And this year has been up there with my battle with it.
"There have been a lot of things that have happened and a lot of things that contributed to why it has been so difficult."
Alison told viewers This Morning reached out to Charlotte's representatives but they turned down the opportunity to comment.
However, last month, Charlotte returned to social media following the results of Conor's paternity test.
Posting on her Instagram Stories, she wrote: "A lot of people want me to address the comments regarding Conor.
"There will be a time and a place for this.
"Unfortunately I am not allowed to do this right now ... just know I love all the support I have received and I appreciate all the love we continuously have been receiving."
She rounded off her message with the words: "Love Charlotte and Penelope xxx"

Orlando Bloom wants to ‘get the band back together' for Pirates Of The Caribbean

The 48-year-old, who plays Will Turner in the Disney film franchise, told ITV's This Morning there is a chance the cast could reunite for a new instalment. Asked if more Pirates Of The Caribbean features are possible, he said: 'Well, I don't know, I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know, but there's definitely availability. 'I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it'd be great to get the band back together, that would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we'll see where it lands.' Bloom also spoke about his latest film Deep Cover, which will be released on June 12, saying he took inspiration from Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher when constructing his character. A post shared by This Morning (@thismorning) The Kent-born actor said: 'When I read in the script that (his character) was a northern I was like, 'who's the iconic northerner that I know?'. 'Growing up I went to Knebworth and seeing Liam and the boys, the whole band, but Liam, he's just got that swag, hasn't he? 'I thought if I can get even close to that, I'd have a lot of fun trying, and it sort of lent itself, and I kind of imagined that (he) was sort of this desperate, out of work actor, maybe he worked at like a costume house or something. 'So he'd get really into the costume and what he was wearing, and the Liam look and everything, so it was a really great way into the character, and I had a lot of fun with it.' The Pirates Of The Caribbean series has seen five feature films: The Curse Of The Black Pearl (2003); Dead Man's Chest (2006); At World's End (2007); On Stranger Tides (2011); and Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017); along with the short film Pirates Of The Caribbean: Tales Of The Code: Wedlocked (2011). The series is based on the Disneyland attraction of the same name, and follows the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp. It has also spawned a number of video games.

Chris Hughes nuzzles JoJo Siwa's neck in public lovefest

Days after hard launching their relationship, Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa have been spotted getting cosy in the Cotswolds. Chris, 32, was photographed nuzzling the 22-year-old's neck, and the couple were seen walking hand in hand as they strolled through the countryside. According to one insider, the pair are in the UK visiting Chris's mum and dad, who have been rather taken by the Dance Moms star. A source said: 'JoJo and Chris are absolutely loved-up. Meeting the parents is a big step, but she charmed everyone.' The meeting comes just days after JoJo confirmed that she and Chris were in a relationship during an interview with Capital Radio. 'It blows my mind that 30 days ago, I would have never even imagined that I'd be friends with Chris Hughes,' she explained. ' 'Like that is the weirdest thing,' she continued. 'Much less be one of the closest people to me now in my life, who I would die for, you know what I mean?' Speaking to The Guardian, she would later say, 'I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way.' The pair met while they were taking part in Celebrity Big Brother this April and formed a close bond after Chris defended JoJo from fellow housemate Mickey Rourke's homophobic comments. Following that incident, the pair were inseparable in the house, leading viewers to speculate that they were more than friends. After the show ended, JoJo allegedly ended her relationship with girlfriend Kathy Ebbs at the after party, and the pair have been seen together in the UK and the US. On the most recent episode of Sunday Brunch, JoJo admitted that the Love Island star had even been over to meet her parents. More Trending She said, 'She (her mother Jessalynn) does love him. My parents think the absolute world of him, and he and my dad are like best friends'. 'Honestly, it makes me happy to have everybody act as… it feels like we're a family, it feels like he's been in my family for however many years it feels like forever. 'He gets along as well as I do. I think he loves me because of my parents!' Meanwhile, during a recent appearance on This Morning, Chris was quizzed on his preferred name for the new power couple, where he admitted he was partial to 'CoJo'. Got a story? Make-up brushes will be dirt-free and 'fluffy' when cleaned with 2 ingredients

A former Great British Bake Off champion shared her homemade cleaning paste that can be used on just about anything - including make-up brushes Former Great British Bake Off winner Nancy Birtwhistle recently appeared on ITV's This Morning to sing the praises of a homemade cleaner that can be used for just about anything, including make-up brushes. Make-up brushes can harbour hidden bacteria when they aren't cleaned regularly or properly. This can lead to skin issues like acne, breakouts, and even infections. However, if you're unsure where to start, Nancy explained that a homemade paste made with just two household ingredients can do the trick. ‌ This handy paste doesn't just work for cleaning make-up brushes either. For cleaning kitchens, it can also be used as a degreaser. ‌ How to clean make-up brushes All you need to do is create a paste using baking soda and some eco-friendly washing up liquid in a bowl. Then transfer a small amount of the paste to a tea strainer or sieve, reports the Express. Nancy demonstrated how you can use this paste to clean your grubby make-up brushes. Take your make-up brush, one by one, and push the bristles into the paste. Gently push and twist the brush's bristles into the paste. This will help draw out any residue stuck on the brush. From stubborn stains to dirty make-up brushes, this quick hack is a game-changer and it's super simple too Nancy said: "And here again, make-up brushes, make-up grease, all that sort of thing, in with that paste. And then I use, you know, a tea strainer... And it just gets into... into those bristles." ‌ Host Rochelle Humes replied: "I wouldn't have thought it for a make-up brush." Nancy said: "Yeah, it is so good!" Baking soda is touted as a wonder product for cleaning make-up brushes due to its slightly abrasive nature, letting it scrub away clinging dirt and grime. The grainy paste is perfect for getting to grips with stubborn make-up residue, making rinsing a doddle. Besides its cleansing prowess, baking soda doubles up as an odour eliminator, nipping any funky smells in the bud - a marvel for anyone with a nose for freshness. sheds light on the topic, noting: "Moist areas are particularly prone to bacterial growth." Brushes used for liquid cosmetics should be first in line for a wash, but if your cupboard's bare of baking soda, Illamasqua has a DIY solution for you - olive oil and washing up liquid can whip up a handy cleaner. Illamasqua recommends mixing the two, with olive oil breaking down the makeup and the dish soap delivering a thorough clean.
