Israeli Cabinet to Occupy Gaza, Displace its Residents
According to Israeli sources, the Cabinet has authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz to give final approval to the military plans and begin extensive 'cleansing' operations targeting the population inside the city.
A statement from Netanyahu's office revealed that the plan aims to impose full Israeli security control over Gaza City.
The plan also outlines a clear intention to empty Gaza City of its population by October 7.
After that, a full Israeli military siege will be imposed, and anyone remaining in the city will be considered a 'military target.'
Human rights organizations warn that this plan signals a permanent forced displacement, marking a dangerous historical precedent that could amount to a 'new Nakba' for the Palestinian people.
Internal Disputes and International Condemnation
Despite its approval, the Cabinet meeting saw intense internal disagreements, most notably from Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi (referred to as Eyal Zamir), who warned that storming Gaza City would endanger both soldiers and Israeli prisoners.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong warned that Israeli control over Gaza constitutes a clear violation of international law, calling for the urgent opening of humanitarian corridors. China also condemned the Israeli decision to occupy and displace Gaza's population, while Turkey's Foreign Ministry denounced the new Israeli war decisions amid the ongoing genocide.
The Hamas Movement responded by saying that the Israeli plan represents a coup against ongoing negotiations, accusing Netanyahu of seeking to serve personal political interests and continue the project of forced displacement and genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
In a notable development, families of Israeli prisoners held in Gaza harshly criticized the government, accusing it of 'completely abandoning their sons.'
They described the Cabinet's decision as 'deceptive and unforgivable,' claiming it follows a reckless path that complicates the crisis and diminishes the chances of securing their loved ones' return.
They urged the Israeli public to take immediate action to halt what they called the government's 'dangerous momentum,' stressing that the only realistic solution is to reach a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal, not to plunge into further war and destruction.

Palestinian Child Prisoners Suffer Harsh Conditions in Israeli Megiddo Prison
DaysofPal- The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Prisoners Affairs has revealed severe conditions endured by Palestinian child prisoners in the Israeli Megiddo Prison. According to the commission, the Israeli prison services continue to enforce punitive measures against these children, mirroring the harsh treatments imposed on adult prisoners since October 7. Child prisoners are reportedly held in bare cells, doubly isolated, and denied family visits, as thousands of other prisoners remain barred from seeing their families. During visits, children are brought with their hands and feet shackled, eyes blindfolded, and heads covered with black bags. Once inside the visitation room, the blindfolds are removed, but the restraints on their hands remain, making it difficult to hold items, while shackles remain on their feet. Moreover, legal teams' requests to remove these restraints during visits have reportedly been ignored. The commission's lawyer reported that prison cells fail to meet international standards for children's and prisoners' rights, whereas conditions are unhygienic, infested with insects, and lack proper lighting and ventilation. Children are subjected daily to verbal abuse, physical assault, solitary confinement, sexual harassment, and collective punishments. Statistics show that the number of female prisoners has reached 50, including two from Gaza, while the number of child prisoners exceeds 450, signaling a targeted violation of minors' basic rights. Regarding administrative detention, 3,629 prisoners are currently held without charge or trial, the highest number in any category. Prisoners classified as 'illegal combatants' number 2,454, the highest since the large-scale Israeli genocide on Gaza in October 2023. This category includes Palestinians and Arabs from Lebanon and Syria, though Gaza detainees held in military camps are not included in these figures. The Palestinian commission's report highlights ongoing international concern over Israel's treatment of child prisoners and calls for immediate attention to their rights and welfare. IOF kills 9 Palestinians, Injures Aid Security Teams
DaysofPal- The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed 9 people and injured several others on Wednesday in bombing humanitarian aid security teams at Al-Saftawi junction in northern Gaza, the Gaza Ministry of Interior reported. The ministry said that the Israeli occupation forces are deliberately preventing humanitarian aid from reaching those in need, where such attacks come as a part of a systematic Israeli policy of 'engineering famine' and spreading chaos in the besieged territory. 'These security teams work to protect aid shipments and ensure their delivery to international organizations so that assistance is distributed fairly and reaches vulnerable groups such as orphans, widows, the wounded, and medical staff who cannot compete for food,' the ministry said. 'Yet Israel continues to kill them, fostering famine and disorder across Gaza.' It added. The ministry also condemned the Israeli occupation's policy for committing massacres against aid security personnel while allowing theft and looting, effectively covering up these crimes. 'Attacks on aid teams are part of a deliberate strategy to engineer starvation among our people,' it continued. The Gaza Ministry of Interior urged the international community to pressure Israel to allow unhindered access for humanitarian aid and enable UN agencies, especially UNRWA, to operate effectively. 'Silence in the face of these violations is complicity in Israel's policy of engineering famine, which daily devastates civilian lives and claims lives across Gaza,' the ministry said. Humanitarian conditions in Gaza have been worsening steadily, with UN and international organizations repeatedly warning that the blockade and ongoing attacks have left hundreds of thousands of residents at risk of starvation, with limited access to food, water, and medical supplies. This latest attack comes amid growing international calls for Israel to allow aid convoys into Gaza, as previous shipments have been blocked under various pretexts, further endangering vulnerable populations. Hind Rajab Foundation Sues Israeli Military Chiefs at ICC for Journalist Killings
DaysofPal – The Hind Rajab Human Rights Foundation has lodged a formal complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) against six senior Israeli military commanders over the killing of Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif, his colleague Mohammed Qreiqa, and other members of the network's Gaza team. Those named in the complaint include Israel's Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Air Force Commander Major General Tomer Bar, and Southern Command Chief Major General Yaniv Asor. The foundation stressed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, already wanted by the ICC, bears ultimate political responsibility for the killings, having promoted a strategy of targeting journalists as part of the ongoing war on Gaza. Diab Abu Jahjah, director of the Hind Rajab Foundation, urged the ICC to take 'practical measures' by issuing arrest warrants for those involved in what he described as the assassination of Al Jazeera's journalists. He called for the existing arrest warrant against Netanyahu to be expanded to include the systematic targeting of journalists, which constitutes a war crime under international law. Abu Jahjah said the Israeli military does not deny deliberately targeting Anas al-Sharif and his colleagues, adding that the foundation's complaint documents the chain of command from the drone strike that killed them to the airbase from which it was launched, up to the army's highest leadership. He noted that the foundation is not limiting accountability to political leaders alone but also to military officers directly involved in the operation. The complaint also addresses the role of Israeli incitement against journalists. Abu Jahjah pointed to the army's Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, accusing him of helping 'prepare the ground' for the assassination through targeted messaging, an act the foundation considers part of the crime. Abu Jahjah warned that the ICC cannot ignore the evidence and Israel's admission of responsibility. He said the foundation will also pursue justice in national courts, tracking Israeli officials and their collaborators when they travel abroad to seek their prosecution. Al Jazeera's Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqa were killed on Sunday evening when an Israeli airstrike hit the network's crew tent near Gaza City's Al-Shifa Medical Complex. With their assassination, 236 journalists have now been killed in Israel's war on Gaza. Shortlink for this post:
