Paramotorer soars through the skies above Glastonbury Festival
The 57-year-old, who runs Launch It Paramotoring, frequently ascends to altitudes of 2000ft while strapped into his powered paraglider, which he calls "a lawn chair with an engine on [its] back"."There is no cockpit around you, so you're just sitting out in the open," he said."It's an amazing feeling, you can smell everything and feel the wind all around you. You have totally unobstructed views."Mr Pearce said it takes around two months for the festival to be built, but he spots an exciting new addition each time he floats above it.
"I get the privilege to be able to do this, not many people get to fly over it and see what goes on while it's being prepared," he said. "They're basically building a small city, really, so it's quite amazing to see. It's always interesting to watch, and you see a massive difference week to week as they're building it." The paramotoring coach says he has no plans to attend the festival this year, but will catch it from the sky instead. "I prefer being up there on my own anyway, rather than on the ground with 100,000 people around me," he laughed. Glastonbury 2025 will be headlined by The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo.

I moved to Spain 4 years ago & will never be bored of it – I don't work & pick my kids up from school & go to the pool
A MUM has shared how her family ditched the UK to live in Spain four years ago and will 'never be bored' of her new life. Jodie Marlow, who shares clips of her new sunny lifestyle online, shared how she doesn't miss the rainy weather at all, and spends her days enjoying the sun. 5 5 Jodie, who is a stay-at-home mum, said her two boys finish school at 1.30pm in summer and they spend afternoons playing in the pool. In a clip on her @jodiemar1ow account, which has over 1,790 likes, she said: 'Four years in & don't think I'll ever get bored of this.' She added that the weather is perfect for her, with temperatures in the top 20s or 30s every day. Jodie said: 'It's not too hot, not too cold. Like, I can wear my nice summer dresses, which I love.' When her kids are at school, she spends her time picking up fruit and veg at the local market, or going for a pamper, including laser hair surgery. She then does housework before picking up the boys and having some lunch with them. Meanwhile, weekends are spent exploring gorgeous nearby beaches and dining out in local restaurants. MOVING TO SPAIN Finally, Jodie advised people on how they can also make the move to Spain. She shared: 'If you hold a UK British passport, you can't just move to Spain like you could pre-Brexit, you do need a visa. 'The working visa you could look into getting dependent on if you've got a specialised job. I quit my job and did a complete 180 moving to Spain - beer is just $3 a pint and my life is so much better 'The self-employed visa, basically they said to us it's just impossible to get, so we didn't even try with that. 'But the digital nomad visa allows anyone that is working online, as long as you are earning a set amount of money that provides for if there's four of you for the family, you can pay for all four of you, and they set out exactly how much that would be.' Since Brexit, UK citizens, and non-EU citizens require a visa to stay longer than 90 days. 5 SOCIAL REACTION Many people were quick to chime in and comment on her new life in Spain, and praise her for making the move. One said: 'It's beautiful there, my sister moved there 26 yrs ago, no regrets.' A second added: 'I don't think you could ever get bored of that lifestyle.' Meanwhile, and a third joked: 'You sure you wouldn't rather be stuck indoors looking out at the rain?' Jodie replied: 'deffo don't miss that side of the uk.' 5 How easy is it to move abroad? Brexit means British citizens now have to apply for visas to move to countries within the EU. While some countries residency restrictions are easier than others, here's what you need to do at home before moving: Notify HMRC about your upcoming move. Let your local authority know and provide a forwarding address. Contact your mortgage and utility providers and bank before leaving. If you have paid enough UK national insurance contributions, you can qualify for a state pension abroad - contact the International Pension Centre. You can sign up to the Royal Mail's redirection service. If you have outstanding student loans, contact the Student Loans Centre. If you have children, give due notice to childcares and schools.

Zoe Ball reveals comedy legend broke nose at her wedding to Fatboy Slim as Radio 2 star lifts lid on raucous big day
ZOE BALL has lifted the lid on just how raucous her 1999 wedding to Fatboy Slim got. Given that, back then, the pair were notorious party animals, things were sure to go a little awry when they tied the knot in front of friends and family at Babington House in Somerset. 7 But the Radio 2 DJ revealed comedian and actor Steve Coogan broke his nose after a few too many drinks. And another guest, a radio producer named Will, fell in a river. Zoe and Fatboy Slim – real name Norman Cook – split in 2016. Speaking to Zoe on their podcast Dig It, Jo Whiley recalled: 'He fell in the stream at our house once when we had a party. Oh no, was it your wedding?' Zoe corrected her: 'No, it was my wedding. It was our wedding.' Jo continued: 'We had to fish him out of the lake.' And recalling another water-based catastrophe from the bash, Zoe said: 'The venue where we got married, there was a swimming pool that Steve Coogan jumped in and broke his nose. 'Never swim when you have been drinking, people. That is the lesson here. "And then Will somehow had managed to walk into the lake and appeared in the bar, just covered in pond weed.' Zoe has now been sober for the best part of a decade, while Steve, said in 2022 that he had stopped drinking earlier that year. Waking up after such antics would have me considering sobriety, too. 7 Zoe Ball 'frozen and in tears' after yobs smashed car window and stole bag ahead of One Show appearance IT'S ALL GO FOR MAGOT 7 IT was back to work as normal for Margot Robbie as she stepped out for her first red carpet since giving birth. The Barbie star had a baby boy in October and has since been juggling motherhood with shooting the upcoming Wuthering Heights remake. But on Wednesday she posed for snaps with Colin Farrell as they kicked off promotion for their romantic fantasy film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. The movie, which also stars Jodie Turner-Smith and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, was shot last year during the early stages of her pregnancy. It's due to hit screens here on September 19, so I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of cinema's most beautiful actress over the next few weeks. ROBBIE'S ANGELS DELIGHT 7 IT'S not just Coldplay going green, Robbie Williams is too. He wore this striking neon suit for a 30-minute set in the BBC Radio 2 Piano Room on Vernon Kay 's show yesterday. Robbie, above with Vernon, performed classic tracks as well as tunes from upcoming album Britpop. And he admitted he was 'lucky' to have his solo success after leaving Take That. He said: 'There was a plan but it was, 'Write songs and be massive'. But it was a heady time, the Nineties. "All sorts of pills and powders and potions can give you delusions of grandeur. I just got incredibly lucky. If it wasn't for Angels, none of this would be happening.' ROCK 'N' DOLL NIGHT OUT FOR ALFIE ALFIE ALLEN has become firm friends with his Baby Doll co-star Tallulah Evans. The pair worked on the Paramount+ plus series together, which sees Alfie's character, teacher Rick Hansen abduct Lily (played by Tallulah) in the adaptation of Hollie Overton's novel. The pair were spotted during a night out in London's Soho and they looked like they were having a hoot. It's best they enjoy the down time now as I've got no doubt when their promo schedules drop for Baby Doll, which comes out next year, they'll be rushed off their feet. FAB FOUR STILL THE REEL DEAL 7 THIRTY years after The Beatles reinvented music docs with their brilliant eight-part anthology series, the Fab Four are bringing it back. The original series has been remastered and restored for a new nine-part series on Disney+. The show, which begins on November 26, traces the band's story from their inception – with Sir Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and , George Harrison bringing to life the timeless stories. The brand new ninth episode includes never- before-seen footage of the band from 1994 to 1995, with them working on The Anthology and sharing memories of their lives in The Beatles. Alongside the documentary, The Beatles are bringing out three double albums of rare material. The tracks, including 13 previously unreleased demos, appear on 12 LP vinyl, digital collections and 8 CD formats, out on November 21. For a triple whammy, The Beatles will also release an Anthology Book – celebrating the 25th anniversary. The book is out on October 14 and will feature interviews with the band. LITTLE MIX GIRLS DO BATTLE 7 WHEN Little Mix first went on hiatus, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall insisted they would never drop solo songs at the same time. But three years down the line, Perrie and Leigh-Anne are now going head to head in a chart battle. Leigh-Anne dropped her track Burning Up yesterday, while Perrie has today put out single If He Wanted To He Would. Other new releases today include Ice Cream from former X Factor star Diana Vickers, while Rudimental's fifth album Rudim3ntal is up against Ava Max's Don't Click Play. Meanwhile, I recommend Alexander Wolfe's new single Talk, calling for men to talk about their struggles. FESTIVALGOERS are getting older, according a survey by Ticketmaster. Its State Of Play report reveals 66 per cent are aged over 35, while ten per cent are over 65. And three quarters of parents say festivals beat foreign trips in exposing kids to new cultures, while 43 per cent see them as a direct replacement for the traditional summer holiday. London Awards on September 29.

BBC reveal major show ‘is going nowhere' after lead star quit as bosses give update on beleaguered series
THE BBC has tried to alleviate the concerns of Doctor Who fans after Ncuti Gatwa quit the Tardis following the shortest Time Lord tenure in 20 years. But they've not been very convincing. 3 3 The corporation's new Chief Content Officer Katie Phillips was grilled about the sci-fi show 's future on a stage at the Edinburgh TV Festival, and she couldn't say for sure when, or if, it would be recommissioned by them. She was asked about Disney+, who bankrolled the last two series, and whether the Beeb would be willing to keep the show going if they didn't renew their arrangement. Katie replied: 'Absolutely. Any Whovians out there, rest assured, Doctor Who is going nowhere. 'Disney has been a great partnership, but going forward with or without Disney Doctor Who will still be on the BBC.' But when pressed on when they'd confirm any decision she replied: 'Soon, don't worry. "The Tardis is going nowhere. Lindsay Salt will be on soon so she can talk a bit more about that.' Then when Lindsay, the BBC's director of drama, arrived on the same stage, she was equally vague about the long-running show. She said: 'There's no update at the moment, but honestly we will share as soon as we do have an update. 'The BBC is committed to the brand. "For drama, it's the biggest brand for the under 35-year-olds. Billie Piper announced as new Doctor Who as she replaces Ncuti Gatwa in BBC series "So it's very important to us and we're committed.' A massive question mark now hangs over the future of the show and whether the Beeb's 'commitment' and determination to keep it 'with the BBC' actually means they'll order a new series any time soon. It all comes after Ncuti 's departure amid plunging viewing figures, which some fans have blamed on the increasingly woke storylines under the tenure of Russell T Davies. The BBC had previously said they wouldn't make any decisions until after the most recent series finished running — well, that was nearly three months ago now. PLOPPER FUNNY, DANNY ATTENDEES at the Edinburgh TV Festival like to think they are a sophisticated bunch, but the biggest laugh heard at the event proved otherwise. Sky unveiled a clip of its upcoming show, The Dyers' Caravan Park, which sees Danny Dyer and daughter Dani try their hand at running a holiday park they have invested in. The first thing they are seen doing is organising a meeting with the residents. During the chat, complaints are raised that the park's swimming pool had people doing number twos in there. While discussing this later in the day, Danny delivers a lovely little anecdote to Dani. He tells her: 'I s**t in the bath once, didn't I? "Me and my brother used to have a bath and I s**t in it and I pushed it up his end of the bath, because I didn't want to get in trouble.' You had to be there. NO LAUGHING MATTER JUST like the contestants have to stifle a giggle, try to contain your excitement as Prime Video gives us a first look at the new line-up for Last One Laughing. The breakout hit show has brought together a top-class collection of comedians for the second series, which arguably tops the first run. 3 Bob Mortimer, who triumphed last time round, is back along with hosts Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty. All Bob had to do to win was spend time with ten of the funniest men and women in Britain and not even smile, let alone laugh. Which is no mean feat. Prime Video promises that the new season, which airs next year, will once again be 'packed with comedy cameos, format twists and surprises designed to elicit laughs from both players and viewers alike'.
