Rita Daniela's mom passes breast cancer remission stage
Rita Daniela has fulfilled her long-held promise to take her mother on vacation following her mom's successful journey past the remission stage of breast cancer.
On Instagram, Rita shared their heartwarming mother-and-daughter snaps taken by the beach and inside a restaurant.
"2019, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. To cheer her up, I promised her that I will bring her to Boracay, eat good food, rest and spend time," Rita wrote in the caption.
However, the immediate fulfillment of this promise was delayed by unforeseen circumstances.
"Time really is precious since that moment came to us but pandemic happened, I gave birth, I became a first time mom. I wasn't able to fulfill my promise right away," she said.
This year, the opportunity finally arose.
"2025, she's passed the remission stage. So, yes. She deserves this long and relaxing trip," Rita said.
Remission is when symptoms of a disease, such as cancer, lessen or go away for a period of time.
Rita conveyed deep gratitude to God for the chance to make good on her word.
"What a treat from a child's and daughter's heart. Such a treat when you see your parent/s happy and the happiness comes from within," she said.
Rita ended her post by writing, "Garden, Salon at Bahay na lang, Ma. Aabot din tayo doon. Uno and I loves you!"
Rita welcomed her son, Uno, in 2022. She went back to work shortly after giving birth and recently starred in GMA Prime series "Widows' War," which is now available for streaming on Netflix.

Ralph De Leon, Shuvee Etrata, Klarisse de Guzman retain top 3 spots after duo formation task
Ralph De Leon, Shuvee Etrata, and Klarisse de Guzman retained their rankings for the final duo formation task in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." On Wednesday's episode, the housemates began the challenge: they must memorize the order of the poles at the first station, arrange them in the second station, and balance them to reach the third station. The rankings that they decided earlier gave them a 20-second advantage over the next person. Meanwhile, the four housemates who won the Big Intensity Challenge (Ralph, Shuvee, Esnyr, and AZ Martinez) has the power to freeze the housemates for one minute. Ralph, Shuvee, and Klarisse were the first three to start the task and also the first three to finish, using their advantage to the fullest. Esnyr used his power to freeze, but Ralph was still able to complete the task ahead of everyone. A shakeup happened in the next three housemates to complete the task: Dustin Yu, originally ranked 10th, jumped to fourth place. He was followed by Will Ashley, the original fourth ranked, who slid down to fifth. Mika Salamanca, the original sixth, also retained her rank to complete the top half of the rankings. The results of the remaining housemates have yet to be revealed. "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" airs weeknights on GMA Network at 10:05 p.m. and weekends at 6:15 pm. —MGP, GMA Integrated News
