Record 1,261 Ph.D. degrees to be awarded at Osmania's 84th convocation
A record of 1,261 Ph.D. degrees will be given at the 84th convocation ceremony of Osmania University to be held on August 19. The ceremony is noteworthy as the university will present Governor's Gold Medal for best Ph.D thesis in English by a Scheduled Tribe student, an initiative of the university Chancellor and Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, to promote tribal scholarship. The university also instituted the Professor Samudrala Satyanarayana Murthy Memorial Gold Medal in MBA Finance. Addressing the media on Wednesday, Vice-Chancellor Kumar Molugaram said that the previous convocation saw 979 Ph.D. degrees awarded. This year, they will also give away gold medals to 121 meritorious students for 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years. Mr. Molugaram informed that the university will confer the 50th honorary doctorate upon Director, Indian Space Research Organisation, V. Narayanan, for his invaluable contributions to the country's space programme. Mr. Narayanan will also deliver the convocation address. Registrar G. Naresh Reddy, Controller of Examinations K. Shashikanth, and other senior officials were present during the address.

BBOSE class 12 December 2025 exam time table released, exams start from 25 August BBOSE class 12 December 2025 exam time table: The Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination (BBOSE) has released the time table for the Class 12 December 2025 examinations. As per the official schedule, the theory examinations will commence on August 25, 2025, and will continue across multiple days in two shifts. The examination will be conducted in two shifts daily. The first shift will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, and the second shift will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Students are required to check their subject-wise schedule and adhere strictly to the allotted timings. Shift timings and entry rules Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination centre only 30 minutes before the start of each shift. Entry for the first shift will close at 9:00 AM, while entry for the second shift will close at 1:30 PM. No candidate will be allowed to enter the centre after the stipulated time under any circumstances. An additional 15 minutes at the beginning of each exam shift will be allotted for students to read and understand the question paper. This reading time is included in the total duration of the examination.
