Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' attorney disputes legal team's claims of asking Trump for pardon
The Bad Boy Records founder was found guilty of two counts of prostitution last month, but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges — and has since been repeatedly denied bail.
Combs' legal posse confirmed that they had reached out to President Trump's camp about a pardon — even as the commander in chief has signaled he's leaning against letting Combs off the hook.

Just days after the claim, Marc Agnifilo refuted lawyer Nicole Westmoreland's comments, insisting he knows nothing of the pardon request.
'I have nothing to do with a possible pardon,' the legal honcho told CBS Mornings.

'I have had conversations with nobody. I have not spoken to the president. I have not spoken to anybody who speaks to the president about Sean Combs. I have not.'
What's more, Agnifilo further asserted that he has not discussed a presidential pardon with the 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper, except for telling him it was in the news.

'He says, 'Go tell him [Trump] that I need a pardon. Go tell him I deserve a pardon.' That's what he said,' he added.

Agnifilo's comments directly contradict Westmoreland, who told CNN this week that the team has 'reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon.'
President Trump told Newsmax host Rob Finnerty last week that he was on the fence about whether he would consider pardoning the music mogul.

'Well, he was essentially, I guess, sort of half innocent,' Trump said of the Diddy case.
'Probably – eh, you know, I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great, and seemed like a nice guy. I didn't know him well, but when I ran for office he was very hostile.'
'It's hard, you know, like, we're human beings, and we don't like to have things cloud our judgment, right? But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements – so, I don't know, it's more difficult,' Trump continued. 'They have talked to me about Sean.'

Trump says homeless people in DC 'have to move out IMMEDIATELY'
Trump says he plans to make an announcement Aug. 11 about a D.C. crime initiative, even as violent crime is down significantly in the nation's capital. Last year marked the lowest level of violent crime in Washington, D.C., in more than 30 years, but President Donald Trump has raised concerns about public safety in the city, teasing a plan that would also target its homeless population. "I'm going to make our Capital safer and more beautiful than it ever was before," Trump said on Truth Social on Aug. 10. "The Homeless have to move out, IMMEDIATELY. We will give you places to stay, but FAR from the Capital." In a series of social media posts, Trump said he would unveil his initiative on Aug. 11, adding it would address the city's crime and the "Cleanliness and the General Physical Renovation and Condition of our once beautiful and well maintained Capital." The president threatened to "take Federal control" of Washington, D.C., in an Aug. 5 post complaining about crime. The post came after Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old former employee of the Department of Government Efficiency nicknamed "BigBalls," was assaulted in an attempted carjacking. "Crime in Washington, D.C., is totally out of control," Trump said on Aug. 5, adding: "If this continues, I am going to exert my powers, and FEDERALIZE this City." Vice President JD Vance on Sunday accused the Biden administration of refusing to release files on Jeffrey Epstein because of the financier's connections to Democrats. 'We know that Jeffrey Epstein had a lot of connections with left-wing politicians and left-wing billionaires … Democrat billionaires and Democrat political leaders went to Epstein island all the time. Who knows what they did,' said Vance on Fox News' 'Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.' 'I laugh at the Democrats who are now, all of a sudden, so interested in the Epstein files. For four years, Joe Biden and the Democrats did absolutely nothing about this story,' he continued. The Epstein saga continues to be a political mess for the Trump administration, as the White House faces pressure to release files the president promised to unveil during his campaign. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) issued subpoenas to the DOJ and a number of high-profile former government officials, including former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to get to the bottom of this investigation. This came after a House Oversight subcommittee voted in a bipartisan manner to subpoena the DOJ to turn over all materials they had on Epstein. Moreover, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Maxwell twice, but neither the audio nor a written transcript has been released to the public. Vance continues to defend Trump. 'The president has been very clear. We're not shielding anything,' said Vance in July.
