"I would still choose the way that I eat now and the way I feel now.
"Now I'm in a smaller body I'm more aware of the danger of being alone.
"I would not change my weight loss for the world."
Liza added that to combat the loose skin she has undergone surgery as well.
Different types of weight loss surgery
For many people who are overweight or obese, they may feel they have exhausted options for weight loss and want to try something more drastic.
Weight loss surgery may be available to them on the NHS if they have a BMI over 40 and have a condition that may be improved with weight loss, such as diabetes.
But the availability of these procedures largely depends on where you live in the UK. People can also pay privately.
Weight loss surgery is a common and safe procedure. However, as with any operation, there are risks, such as a blood clot, a band slipping out of place, a stomach infection, gallstones and excessive skin from weight loss that in most cases, won't be removed on the NHS.
In all of the following options, the space in the stomach is reduced, therefore a person feels fuller after eating less food. They lose weight as a result.
However, it is necessary for them to also learn good eating habits and have a healthy balanced diet, too.
Gastric bypass
The stomach is divided into two using a staple. The smaller part is connected to the intestines, effectively cutting how much space there is in the stomach by half.
The operation takes around two hours.
Gastric band
A band is tied around the top of the stomach and inflated so that it tightens.
The operation takes three to four hours.
Gastric balloon
Patients swallow an empty balloon which is attached to a tube.
The balloon is filled with water via the tube, taking around 20 minutes, so that it fills around two-thirds of the stomach space.
Sleeve gastrectomy
Around 80 per cent of the stomach is removed in surgery to make it much smaller and a sleeve shape.
The operation takes between one and three hours.

Why curry leaves & coconut oil is the secret to shiny long locks without a hairdresser & a £4.50 dose will last months

MANY people crave having shiny long locks, but you may think it is hard to achieve without forking out for pricey salon treatments. However, there could be a purse-friendly solution, which costs £4.55 and will last you for months. 3 If you want long glossy locks, you may wish to a DIY oil made from coconut oil and curry leaves Credit: Getty 3 Curry leaves adds a special flavour to every dish - but they also have numerous properties which can benefit your hair Credit: Getty Over the years, many Indian women swear by using a combination of curry leaves and coconut oil to boost hair health . Not only does it work as an incredible flavour boost in dals and curries, but the humble curry leaf, known as kadi patta in India , is said to be a potent elixir for hair growth - particularly when used with the oil. This is down to the two ingredients being rich in nutrients and antioxidants. According to More on hair These include Vitamin B to support keratin production, iron and calcium for scalp health, and beta-carotene, which prevents thinning. Meanwhile, coconut oil moisturises the scalp and also leaves the hair shaft 'soft and silky' thanks to the fatty acids. Coconut oil also contains antifungal and antibacterial properties that can help to 'protect the scalp from infections and promote a healthy environment for hair growth.' The generations-old remedy also helps to boost 'hair growth, fights dandruff, delays greying, and adds shine, resulting in healthier, thicker, and stronger hair.' Most read in Fabulous Thankfully, the two items won't break the bank, with the coconut oil being £3.35 and curry leaves being £1.20 at Sainsbury's. The trick is to first warm the curry leaves thoroughly and then pat them dry. They should then sizzle and turn slightly crispy and dark green. You can then turn off the heat and allow the oil to cool, before storing in a glass bottle. 3 Coconut oil moisturises the scalp and also leaves the hair shaft 'soft and silky' Credit: Getty How to use your curry leaf and coconut oil HERE'S how to use your DIY hair oil to the greatest effect.. Gently warm the oil until it's slightly heated. Apply to your scalp and massage in slow, circular motions to boost blood flow and absorption. Let the oil sit for 30 to 45 minutes, or leave it overnight for intense nourishment. Rinse thoroughly with a mild, sulphate-free shampoo for soft, healthy hair. This comes as the average cost of a haircut for women in the UK has boomed by more than 30 per cent since 2020. This has resulted in many people adapting their styles, and opting for longer-lasting styles, according to the Richard Scorer, the creative director of the women's salon chain Haringtons, said people were 'having higher-value services left less often'. He shared: 'Time is a big issue for people. People used to come in every week and have a blow dry. 'Now, they're coming in less regularly, so they want services that last.' Benefits of curry leaves for your hair CURRY leaves are a well-loved natural remedy in many cultures, especially in Indian hair care traditions. Curry leaves are rich in beta-carotene and proteins, which help reduce hair fall and stimulate growth by strengthening hair follicles. The amino acids and antioxidants in curry leaves help improve the overall structure of your hair, making it stronger and less prone to breakage or split ends. Curry leaves contain nutrients like iron, calcium, and phosphorus that nourish the scalp and reduce hair fall caused by nutrient deficiencies. They are high in vitamin B which supports the production of melanin—the pigment responsible for hair colour—helping to slow down premature graying. Their antifungal and antibacterial properties can help fight dandruff, itchiness, and minor scalp infections, promoting a clean and healthy scalp.

The retailer said: "Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town. "Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong. "Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas." The retailer's first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960. They added: "In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed. "Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England." Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.

My side hustle is so good it pays my mortgage EVERY month – if you shopped on Amazon Prime Day you need to hear about it

A WOMAN has claimed she made £18,000 in 12 months working just ONE hour a week thanks to her Amazon side hustle. Renata Rabuha, from the US, revealed how she uploads 30-60 second videos of the items she has bought from Amazon at home. 3 Renata Rabuha claimed that she pays her mortgage by the Amazon Influencer Program Credit: TikTok / @renatarabuha Hailing it as the 'easy side hustle no one is talking about', she said it's particularly perfect if you've snapped up numerous items on Prime Day. In a clip on her review videos and make your money back. 'Doing this pays my mortgage every single month and I never post the reviews to social media." She explained how Amazon pays her for making product review videos - but not the ones you see under the regular reviews. Renata added: 'This is totally different. 'Amazon has a program that literally anybody can join. 'It's not an invite—you can apply for it. Literally anybody can do it, and there is a two-step approval process. 'But once you're in, it is so simple. Literally anybody can do it. Most read in Fabulous 'What you do is take products you already have in your house, make a 30 to 60 second video, and post that video directly to Amazon. 'Those videos get shown on product listings. I earn cash by selling 'actual rubbish' on eBay - I flogged a freebie I found on the floor by a bin for £10, it's crazy Whenever somebody clicks on your video and watches it, you do get a commission. 'Last year, I made over $24,000 literally reviewing the stuff that I already had at home.' HOW SHE DOES IT Renata makes cash through the Amazon Influencer Program. This allows content creators to earn commissions by posting video reviews, unboxings and how-to clips. These videos appear directly on Amazon product listings, and if someone watches your video and makes a purchase, you earn a cut. Anyone can apply, and no invite is required, and you get paid per qualifying purchase, not just views. It's different from regular Amazon reviews you see, as the influencers get paid for their videos. To qualify, you typically need an active social media account (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook) and a moderate following, but no huge audience required. 3 She claims she made £18,000 in 12 months working just ONE hour a week thanks to her Amazon side hustle Credit: TikTok / @renatarabuha You need to be producing 'quality, authentic content' on your page. The two-step verification process includes checking that you're a real content creator with an active presence and real engagement. If you pass the first step, you'll be asked to submit 3 sample videos reviewing items. Once approved, you'll get access to your own Amazon storefront and be able to post videos that appear on actual product listings. From there, you can start earning commissions on qualifying purchases from viewers who watch your videos. 3 UK influencers can recommend products to your audience, and then earn a commission Credit: Getty IS IT IN THE UK? The Amazon Influencer Program is available in the UK - but it is slightly different. You first need to apply via and create a storefront. Once this is done, you can create content and recommend products to your audience, and then earn a commission. The website states: 'There are multiple ways you can earn. 'You can monetise your social media content by sharing your storefront URL or through affiliate links. 'We may also surface the content you have posted to your storefront to Amazon shoppers, allowing you to gain more followers and earn from new customers.' To reliably publish shoppable videos and earn commissions, most UK creators join via the US program, using products that are also listed on Do I need to pay tax on my side hustle income? MANY people feeling strapped for cash are boosting their bank balance with a side hustle. The good news is, there are plenty of simple ways to earn some additional income - but you need to know the rules. When you're employed the company you work for takes the tax from your earnings and pays HMRC so you don't have to. But anyone earning extra cash, for example from selling things online or dog walking, may have to do it themselves. Stephen Moor, head of employment at law firm Ashfords, said: "Caution should be taken if you're earning an additional income, as this is likely to be taxable. "The side hustle could be treated as taxable trading income, which can include providing services or selling products." You can make a gross income of up to £1,000 a year tax-free via the trading allowance, but over this and you'll usually need to pay tax. Stephen added: "You need to register for a self-assessment at HMRC to ensure you are paying the correct amount of tax. "The applicable tax bands and the amount of tax you need to pay will depend on your income." If you fail to file a tax return you could end up with a surprise bill from HMRC later on asking you to pay the tax you owe - plus extra fees on top.
