Days after a Russian woman, along with her two daughters, was found living inside a remote cave in the Indian state of Karnataka, a statement from her husband has emerged in the media.
Speaking to Indian news channel NDTV, Dror Goldstein, an Israeli man, claimed that he was the Russian woman's husband, and she left Goa along with the daughters without informing him.
The woman has been identified as Nina Kutina.
Goldstein, who allegedly met Nina in Goa eight years ago and fell in love, shared his story with the media.

'We spent seven months in India together, and then we spent more time in Ukraine,' he said.
For the past four years, Goldstein has been travelling to India to visit his daughters, Prema (6) and Ama (5).
'A few months ago, she (Nina) left Goa without informing me, and I didn't know where they were,' he said.
After filing a missing person complaint, he discovered Nina and their daughters were living in Gokarna.
'I went to see my daughters, to see how they are. She wouldn't let me spend time with them, only a little bit; she made it really hard,' Goldstein explained.
He's now pushing for shared custody, saying, 'I want to be able to be in touch and close to my two daughters.'
Goldstein also mentioned that he's been sending Nina a 'good amount' of money each month, adding, 'She has everything they need.'
Regarding their potential deportation, Goldstein vowed to do everything possible to stop the Indian government from sending his daughters to Russia.
'It would be hard for me if they will be taken there,' he said.
On July 11, police found Nina and her daughters living in a cave on Ramatirtha Hill in Gokarna during a routine patrol.

The 40-year-old explained she had moved from Goa to Gokarna seeking spiritual solitude, choosing the cave to meditate and pray, far from city distractions.
Authorities discovered Nina had entered India on a business visa valid until April 2017.
The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Panaji, Goa, issued an exit permit in April 2018, and records show she left for Nepal and re-entered India in September 2018, overstaying her visa.

Indian Man Brutally Assaulted, Stripped In Dublin Just Weeks After Arriving In Ireland

Last Updated: An Indian man in his 40s was violently attacked in Tallaght, Dublin, sustaining serious injuries. An Indian man in his 40s was violently attacked and partially stripped in a suspected racist assault in Tallaght, a suburb of Dublin following which the police launched an investigation into the incident. The man, who arrived in Ireland just three weeks ago, was reportedly beaten by a group of individuals on Parkhill Road. He sustained serious injuries to his face, arms and legs and was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment. The police said that they were alerted to the assault and have since opened a criminal investigation although no arrests have been made yet. According to The Irish Times, the man was allegedly falsely accused by his attackers of acting inappropriately around children. The police, however, said that there is no evidence supporting these claims. Ambassador, Lawmakers Condemn Attack India's Ambassador to Ireland Akhilesh Mishra condemned the incident on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), questioning the severity of the injuries in what had initially been described as an 'alleged" assault. 'How can an 'ALLEGED' assault cause such horrible injury & bleeding?" he wrote, thanking the Irish police for their support to the victim and urging that the perpetrators be brought to justice. Local Fine Gael councillor for Tallaght South Baby Pereppadan met the victim in hospital and said he was too traumatised to speak, adding, 'He only arrived in Ireland three weeks ago. He is not taking any visitors at the moment." Such attacks are becoming more frequent in Tallaght, he said, noting, 'People need to understand that many Indian people moving to Ireland are here on work permits, to study and work in the healthcare sector or in IT and so on, providing critical skill." Paul Murphy, a People Before Profit TD for the area, criticised the assault, warning that misinformation and xenophobia were contributing factors. He said, 'Responsibility lies not just with those who perpetrated the violence but also with those who have been spreading racist lies. The community is really shocked and outraged and will stand together against violence, hate and division." Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan highlighted the dangers of racial profiling and false accusations against immigrants, saying, 'Increasingly, you hear of people blaming immigrants for crimes. All I can say to you is: I have asked for the statistics and when you look at the prison population of people convicted of offences, the percentage of immigrants in prison is lower than the percentage of immigrants in society. So there's no substance to the suggestion that immigrants are more likely to commit a criminal offence." view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Operation Sindoor aftermath: BSF ups drone shield along Pakistan border; first UAV squadron being raised to counter threat

This is an AI-generated image, used for representational purposes only. NEW DELHI: In a major move to strengthen border defences, the Border Security Force (BSF) is raising its first drone squadron to counter increasing aerial threats from Pakistan, especially in the wake of lethal drone attacks witnessed during Operation Sindoor . The unit will be deployed at select Border Outposts (BoPs) along the India-Pakistan frontier and will include reconnaissance, surveillance and attack drones operated by specially trained personnel, official sources said, as quoted by news agency PTI. This specialised drone squadron, to be monitored by a control room based at the BSF's western command in Chandigarh, is a direct response to recent security challenges, including Pakistan's use of drone swarms targeting Indian military and civilian areas. During Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory strike launched by India on May 7 following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people, Pakistan responded by sending thousands of drones across the border. One such deadly attack occurred on May 10, when a bomb-laden Pakistani drone dropped explosives on BSF's Kharkola post in the RS Pura sector of Jammu. The attack killed two BSF personnel and one Army jawan, critically injuring four others. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like AirSense 11 – Smart tech for deep sleep ResMed Buy Now Undo One of the injured troops had to undergo leg amputation. As per PTI, the BSF has since begun fortifying its border infrastructure. Bunker walls and roofs are being reinforced with alloy sheets and additional protective measures are being implemented at vulnerable posts. A BSF officer said the force is also working with defence and intelligence agencies to install counter-drone technology at key locations to intercept and neutralise rogue UAVs. According to PTI, sources confirmed that the new drone squadron will be stationed at BoPs spanning the more than 2,000-km India-Pakistan border across Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Each drone team will consist of 2-3 trained personnel. Some equipment has already been procured, and training is underway in batches. Union home minister Amit Shah recently said the BSF 'destroyed more than 118 Pakistani posts and completely dismantled their surveillance system' during Operation Sindoor, underlining the force's aggressive role in recent border operations. Meanwhile, Pakistan-based smugglers have stepped up attempts to push narcotics and arms across the border using drones. The BSF recently recovered a DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone and a 3.7 kg heroin packet in Punjab's Tarn Taran, and earlier intercepted drones carrying drugs and weapon parts near Amritsar and Khemkaran. These frequent drone intrusions reflect the urgency behind the BSF's decision to launch a dedicated UAV combat unit.

Cheating Is In The Air: This Tamil Nadu Town Has Highest Number Of Affairs In India

Last Updated: Ashley Madison's June 2025 data shows Kanchipuram leading in signups. Nine Delhi-NCR locations are in the top 20. Check full list Ashley Madison, the global dating platform marketed primarily for individuals seeking extramarital relationships, released new user data for June 2025 that placed India among its fastest-growing markets owing to increase in signups in smaller cities and towns. According to the platform's latest figures, Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu recorded the highest rate of signups across India, surpassing cities like Delhi and Mumbai. The town has seen a dramatic spike in activity on the site as in 2024, it ranked 17th. Ashley Madison did not offer an explanation for the town's sharp rise but Kanchipuram's position in the list reflects a growing footprint for the app in tier-2 and tier-3 cities as some metro areas fall behind. Where Do Metro Cities Stand In The List? The newly released list of the top 20 Indian districts by Ashley Madison signups includes nine locations from the Delhi-NCR region, including six Delhi districts- Central Delhi (ranked second), South West Delhi, East Delhi, South Delhi, West Delhi and North West Delhi- as well as neighbouring cities Gurgaon, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida). In contrast, Mumbai did not make it to the top 20 while cities such as Jaipur, Raigarh, Kamrup and Chandigarh featured prominently. Ghaziabad and Jaipur, both tier-2 cities, outpaced many urban hubs in signups and activity, the list showed. The platform said the rankings were based not only on new user signups but also on activity intensity and engagement data that signal trends in infidelity and non-monogamy. In April, Ashley Madison shared results from a YouGov survey, which revealed that India and Brazil reported the highest rates of admitted infidelity among adults. According to the survey, 53 percent of Indian respondents admitted to having had an affair. Paul Keable, Chief Strategy Officer at Ashley Madison, said, 'This data highlights a striking trend- India is leading the way in redefining modern relationships with more than half of surveyed adults admitting to infidelity. India is already ranked sixth among our global markets and we anticipate it climbing even higher by the end of the year. These numbers suggest the growing acceptance of non-monogamy." view comments First Published: July 22, 2025, 18:22 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
