Abu Dhabi's OFFLIMITS Festival is bringing some huge names to the capital on April 26, and if you've followed whatson.ae, you'll have caught all of our announcements on Ed Sheeran, OneRepublic, Kaiser Chiefs, and other top talent heading to Abu Dhabi for this all-night musical celebration at Etihad Park.
Now, we have the complete list of performers heading to town in just two months.
Get set to welcome an exciting mix of world-class talent, including electronic legends Faithless, alternative powerhouse Sevdaliza, funky rockers Fun Lovin' Criminals, and several emerging artists including Zeyne, a rising Palestinian-Jordan pop star, Altego, fast-rising German pop talent Leony, and electrifying DJ and percussionist duo DJ Mancha and Anastasis Voukis, plus Taya Kruzz, Matt Sochon, That Different DJ, and more.

OFFLIMITS is a brand new addition to the energy-packed list of fantastic festivals in the capital, announced in early December of last year as set to take place on April 26 at Etihad Park. One night only at Yas Island, with incredible artists taking the stage and expertly-curated musical experiences for all.
While the hotly-anticipated entertainment extravaganza will be bringing talent from around the world to Etihad Park, there's more than music to be enjoyed. Ed Sheeran sings in Punjabi in new song Sapphire
Ed Sheeran has paid tribute to India in his new song, singing a line in Punjabi. In Sapphire, the English singer breaks into Punjabi for one line in the chorus, which translates to 'they sparkle just like stars'. Sheeran has collaborated with Indian playback singer Arijit Singh on the new single, a collaboration he described as the 'final jigsaw piece' in recording the track. Singh also plays the sitar on the track. The video for the song is filmed in various locations around India, and was shot earlier this year while Sheeran was on tour in the country. ' Sapphire was the first song I finished for Play that made me know where the album was heading,' Sheeran wrote about his new single in an Instagram caption. 'It's why I finished the recording process in Goa surrounded by some of the best musicians in India.' Speaking of filming the video in India, he wrote: 'We wanted to showcase the beauty and breadth of the country and its culture.' He added that the song is his favourite on the album and he has recorded a version entirely in Punjabi with Singh, which he promises 'will come out in the next few weeks'. Sheeran took his +−=÷× Tour (said The Mathematics Tour) to India in January and February this year, performing seven dates in six locations, last year he also performed a standalone night in Mumbai. Sheeran's upcoming album, Play, is set to be released in September. He has already released singles Old Phone and Azizam, as well as Sapphire. Azizam is heavily influenced by the region. The song was co-written by Swedish–Iranian songwriter Ilya Salmanzadeh. Discussing the single on Instagram, Sheeran said the track draws on Iranian musical influences, which he found echoes aspects of traditional Irish folk. 'I wrote Azizam after Ilya suggested trying out music inspired by his Persian heritage and culture,' he said. 'I love learning about music and different cultures the more I travel and connect with people. It was like opening a door to a completely new and exciting world. 'I loved how a lot of the rhythms, scales, melodies and instruments were different but similar to the Irish trad music I grew up with. It showed me that music connects us all – it really is a universal language. This whole album is about being playful, explorative and celebratory.' In March, a large heart-shaped balloon was put on display in at Bla Bla beach club and dining venue in Dubai's JBR district to promote the single.

Palestinian film ‘Thank You for Banking With Us!' to premiere in Spain
The film is a joint German-Palestinian production that delves into themes of female empowerment and familial struggle. Palestinian filmmaker Laila Abbas's first feature film, Thank You For Banking With Us, is set to have its Spanish premiere at Cinemes Babel. The drama explores themes of female empowerment through the story of sisters Mariam and Noura, who, after their father's death, devise a plan to secure a large sum of money he left behind. Their scheme aims to outmanoeuvre their brother, who is legally entitled to half of the inheritance. Laila Abbas described the film as a narrative about the strength of womanhood and the importance of emotional and physical unity among women. 'It's a story about sisters who, having endured their own tragedies and heartbreaks, come together to become stronger,' she said. Thank You for Banking With Us! is a joint German-Palestinian production, written, directed and produced by Abbas through her Ramallah-based company Young Oak Productions. Co-produced by Hanna Atallah of Palestine Cinema Days and Roshanak Behesht Nedjad of Berlin's In Good Company Films, the film is being handled for worldwide sales and distribution by MAD World. MAD Solutions and Lagoonie Film Production, the Cairo and Riyadh-based production entity, have also teamed up to co-produce Thank You for Banking With Us! Thank You for Banking With Us! has received support thus far from the El Gouna Film Festival in 2018 through four $10,000 grants from ART, Cedars Productions, O Three Productions and Metafora respectively. Moreover, it won the In-Development Award from the CineGouna Platform and was supported by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture as well as the Doha Film Institute's 2023 edition of the Qumra Initiative. Dubai-based Sara Hamdan's debut novel received well globally
The Emirates Literature Foundation, in partnership with Fiker Insitute, hosted a special evening for the launch of 'What Will People Think,' the highly anticipated debut novel by award-winning writer and journalist Sara Hamdan. The exclusive event was held at the Fiker Institute in Alserkal Avenue on Sunday and featured a fireside chat with the author led by Ahlam Bolooki, CEO of the Emirates Literature Foundation, followed by a book signing and celebratory reception. The evening brought together leading voices from Dubai's cultural and literary community, including representatives from Alserkal Avenue, Art Jameel, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the Department of Economy and Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, Seddiqi Holding, and a number of local authors and publishers. 'This is a landmark moment not only for Sara but for the entire literary ecosystem in Dubai,' said Ahlam Bolooki, CEO of the Emirates Literature Foundation.
