Blackpink's tour 'DEADLINE' is all set to officially commence in their home Goyang, South Korea. The tour will start this July at the famous
Goyang Stadium
. The tour will begin on July 5 and 6 and will feature all four members together as the group, making this a special occasion for both Blackpink and BLINKS (Blackpink fans).
After South Korea, the group is set to conquer the international realm, with their tour starting in North America for four stops. They will be touring in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and New York, respectively. Disney lays off hundreds of employees across film, television and other division units
Washington DC [US], June 3 (ANI): Major layoffs are underway at the Walt Disney Company, affecting hundreds of employees across Disney Entertainment divisions, including marketing for film and television units, reported Deadline. Apart from these divisions, the layoffs will also affect the employees in the television publicity, casting, development and Disney's corporate financial operations divisions. Deadline cited the sources and reported that the size of the cuts on Disney Entertainment's film and TV sides is comparable. The majority of the Disney Entertainment Television staffers are said to be based in Los Angeles. According to the outlet, this is the fourth and largest round of layoffs in the past ten months that have affected various Disney television operations. They are part of an ongoing cost-cutting process at the traditional media companies as they reshape their business to focus on streaming while facing economic headwinds. Upon his return as CEO, Disney's Bob Iger has established a goal of at least 7.5 billion USD in cost reductions at the start of 2023, with about 7,000 jobs eliminated that year. Earlier this year, in March, just under 200 Disney employees were laid off, representing almost 6% of the workforce in the ABC News Group and Disney's Entertainment Networks, including Freeform and FX, reported Deadline. Before that, a big restructuring at the Walt Disney Company happened in October, involving the shutdown of ABC Signature, with its operations folded into 20th Television and the consolidation of ABC and Hulu Originals scripted drama and comedy teams, reported Deadline. It resulted in about 30 Disney Entertainment Television layoffs. Rajkummar Rao , one of Bollywood's most acclaimed actors today, once opened up about the intense financial struggles he faced during the early days of his acting journey. During an old podcast, the actor offered an emotional throwback to a time when he had only Rs 18 in his bank account, unsure where his next meal would come from. Surviving Mumbai on biscuits and juice Rajkummar, during his conversation with Ranveer Allahabadia, recalled how, in the absence of steady work, he often skipped lunch and sustained himself with just a packet of Parle G biscuits and a Frooti, a meal that cost only ₹4 back then. "My mother supported me a lot. Whenever I ran out of money, she would somehow arrange it and send it to me," he shared. The actor lived in a flat with two others, keeping expenses minimal while chasing a dream that often seemed out of reach. Turning to Friends for Dinner Reflecting on his lowest moment, when he was left with just ₹18, Rajkummar remembered calling friends from his FTII network in Mumbai, asking if he could join them for dinner. 'A lot of seniors and juniors live here. So, you can ring anybody and ask what they're having for dinner and if you can come,' he said, highlighting the unspoken bond of support among struggling artists. Cycling 70 Km a Day with Dreams in His Pocket The actor also reminisced about his early training days at Shri Ram Centre in Delhi, where he began studying acting at age 18. Unaware of how to get a subsidized student bus pass, Rajkummar cycled 70 km daily to attend classes. First Salary at Age 13 In another candid moment, Rajkummar recalled how he earned ₹300 tutoring a young girl when he was in the 8th standard, his first salary, which he used to buy groceries for his family.
