PLENTY of parents get nervous sending their little one off for a playdate but one mum says her worst fears came true.
The mum's story went viral after TikTok user @txcstories shared it with her followers.

The Tiktoker is known to share the outrageous tales of others, often stirring up a storm among fans.
This time she sparked a huge debate about parenting, manners and playdate etiquette.
According to the furious mum, her daughter had been desperate to go to her best friend's house after school, despite the fact she'd never been to anyone else's before.
Normally, the girl's pals came to her house instead, where she says she always lays on food, drinks and even trips to the arcade without ever asking parents for a penny.
But after years of friendship and thinking she knew the other mum well, she decided to relent.
'Against my better judgement, I said yes,' she explained.
At first, everything seemed fine, she admits she was 'probably quite annoying' texting for updates, but says the replies were reassuring enough that she relaxed.
That relief vanished the moment she picked her daughter up.
The little girl 'downed' an entire bottle of water in the car, telling her mum she hadn't had any drink while there and, even more shockingly, no dinner either.
The mum claims the other woman sent her child upstairs to play in her friend's bedroom while the family sat at the table eating their evening meal.
'Not even a slice of bread,' she fumed.
'I surely cannot be alone in thinking this is outrageous.'
She says she's desperate to confront the other parent, but her daughter is terrified it could ruin her friendship.
'She begged me not to say anything,' the mum explained.
'But honestly, this is killing me.'
Commenters were just as gobsmacked, with one suggesting she send a carefully-worded text.
They wrote: "you need to text them asking 'I'm sorry to ask but did she eat or drink anything at yours? She came home with a headache and incredibly thirsty.' and see what they say!"
Others simply branded the move 'strange' and 'shocking'.
The post has since sparked a heated debate online about what's expected when you host another child.
Many said a hot meal and drink is the bare minimum, while others pointed out that some families don't feed visiting kids for cultural or financial reasons.
One user said: "this is quite normal in my culture, if you've already bought and prepared a meal for a certain number of people then what do you give them?"
But for this mum, having her child return home starving verified her playdate anxiety.
It's not the first playdate tale to stir up a fuss.
Previously, a mum was shocked after being asked to pay a £5 bill to cover the cost of a playdate with her five-year-old.
How to survive six weeks of school summer holidays
IF you are struggling with the six week summer holidays, you've come to the right place...
BATTLING BOREDOM: Despite hours of activities and playdates, if your kids are already complaining there's nothing to do, parenting expert Liat Hughes Joshi says: 'Don't feel you have to organise every second of the holidays. Kids benefit from boredom and learn to make their own fun.
'Boredom can trigger creative and imaginative play but you need to encourage kids to get used to not being told how to spend their time.
'Ride out the pleas of boredom. Counter it with comments such as, 'What do you think you could do?' and maybe have a list of 'I'm bored' activity ideas on the fridge.'
SCREEN OVERLOAD: It's tempting during the holidays to rely on a digital babysitter but don't let them gawp their whole summer away in front of a screen.
Liat says: 'It's unfair to expect older kids to power down but it's important to set some ground rules.
'Set family tech rules together. If you're often distracted by your phone, follow the rules too. Maybe tell the kids they aren't allowed any screen time until they've done set chores, some exercise, or a board game.
'Are there times when you'd like to ban screens completely? Perhaps during dinner or when they have friends over to visit.
'Tech is a battleground for parents, but you have to set boundaries. Stand firm and be prepared to be unpopular.'
TOO MUCH TOGETHERNESS: You love your kids, but being with them 24/7 can be exhausting. Do not feel guilty if you need a bit of downtime.
Liat says: 'If you're juggling work and household tasks as well as occupying the kids, it's normal to start feeling overwhelmed or jaded and in need of some peace.
'If you can't afford or don't want to send your kids to all-day camps, look for free kids' workshops so you can get on with jobs or have a break for a couple of hours.
'Seeking a spell of quiet every now and then doesn't make you a bad parent — in fact it will probably make you more positive and enthusiastic when you are with the kids.'
SCHEDULING CONFLICT: Schedules can go out the window during holidays, but late nights and early mornings can mean tired and unhappy children.
Dr Tamara Bugembe, paediatrician and founder of Helperbees.co.uk says: 'Children get grumpy, test boundaries and become challenging when routines are broken.
'Sticking to some kind of routine during the holidays is a good idea.
'We release hormones at different times of the day and when regular meal times and bed times are broken, it causes dips and peaks in mood.
'Holidays are about having fun but an early night once or twice a week will make everyone happier.'
EXCESS ENERGY: Make sure kids get out in the fresh air to tire them out — and make them healthier and happier.
Dr Bugembe says: 'Sunshine also tops up vital vitamin D levels which helps improve bone strength and energy levels in children. Our levels run low in winter so let the kids stock up in warmer weather.
'Letting them run around in shorts and a T-shirt is the best way to top up. Make sure they're wearing sun cream, get outside and have fun.
'Encourage them to try healthy habits such as cycling and walking. They'll hopefully get hooked and want to carry them on when the weather gets colder.'

Princess Andre's childhood trauma: Katie Price's daughter says she 'saw things kids shouldn't see' as she lays bare her mother's 'problems' and how she has a counsellor

Princess Andre has revealed that she 'saw things kids shouldn't see' as she opened up about her mother Katie Price 's 'problems' during the first episode of her new ITV show which aired on Sunday. The daughter of the former glamour model and singer Peter Andre, 18, claimed she wished she could have had a 'happier childhood' as she discussed her traumas on her new reality programme, Princess Diaries. Princess said her mum became in a 'dark' place following her split from third husband Kieran Hayler, who she welcomed two children with Bunny, 10, and Jett, 11, in 2018. Katie has previously admitted to attempting suicide and relying on drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism following the 'breakdown'. Princess has now told ITV viewers how she has a counsellor to help her cope with her traumas and how she previously 'couldn't just go to my dad' Peter due to the former couple, who split in 2009, 'not liking each other'. She said: 'She [Katie] is so unpredictable and she lives life and doesn't care. I love that, I'd love that mind set of I don't care because deep down I do, I'll get to bed and cry about it. 'I do have a counsellor who I see now and then and I write everything down in my notes. I wish I could have had a happier childhood, I had so much on my plate at such a young age and had things at the back of my mind. 'My mum and Kieran split up when I was 10 years old, we were close to him he was in our lives for five years. 'He did a lot of stuff and when they split everything went downhill.' Laying bare Katie's 'problems', Princess said she hasn't 'fully recovered' from her mum's breakdown but revealed she did apologise and they now 'talk a lot'. She continued: 'Mum was heartbroken and she went through a dark time and it was things kids shouldn't see and when we needed our mum there, she wasn't there because she had her own problems. 'Kids in school would ask me about it and I was like 11 and I would just cry about it in bed. I couldn't just go to my dad about it because I grew up with them not liking each other. 'I'm not healed or fully recovered from it but mum has fixed herself compared to how she was back then. 'She spoke to me about it and she apologised and I never wanted an apology but it was a lot that she acknowledged it and she realised she needed to prioritise us, we now talk a lot and she is now my best friend.' She said: 'Mum was heartbroken and she went through a dark time and it was things kids shouldn't see and when we needed our mum there she wasn't there because she had her own problems' Princess has now told ITV viewers how she has a counsellor to help her cope with her traumas and how she previously 'couldn't just go to my dad' Peter due to the former couple 'not liking each other' Princess also revealed how she used to stay at Katie's Monday and Tuesday nights and dad Peter's Wednesday and Thursdays, however the weekends 'it was whoever's turn it was'. Comparing the two households, she added: 'Mum's house was chaotic there weren't many rules, a few boundaries maybe but it was go to bed when you want and eat what you want. Last year, Katie reflected on the emotional time she tried to take her own life after 'reaching breaking point' following her divorce from Kiaran . Katie, who is now in a happy relationship with JJ Slater, at the time admitted herself into the Priory shortly after she noticed she was relying on drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism amid her suicide attempt. Speaking to You Magazine, Katie opened up about the emotional and difficult time in her life, she said: 'People don't realise what I've been through'. They don't know, for example, that she tried to take her own life, as she got divorced from her third husband, Hayler. 'I just didn't want to be here any more. I thought, "What's the point? No one's here, no one's helping, no one understands what I am feeling." 'I woke up from it thinking, "What the f***? I can't do this to my kids." I was at breaking point.' Katie went to private hospital the Priory, and realised that the suicide attempt was the culmination of a long breakdown. She had been taking cocaine as a means of escape, and this shocked her friends and family, because, she tells me, she isn't an addict. Katie added: 'I think there's this persona of me that I'm a drinker and a cokehead, but I never have been, ever. Yeah, when I was younger, I would go out and get p***ed. Who wouldn't?' 'It [cocaine] is the dirtiest thing. When you're not in a good place, it taps you on the shoulder and says, 'I'm here, I can help you.' To me, it wasn't a drug that made me want to party. 'It was more a way to block everything out, to suppress me completely. I was like this,' she mimes looking down and in at herself. "It was like I was in rigor mortis." While most people who take cocaine get an intense high, it shut Price down. This is typical of people who suffer from ADHD, and it was after her stay in the Priory that she had a formal diagnosis. "I hate labels," she says, "but it's made me understand more. I found all my school reports and they all say exactly the same thing: 'Dreamer. Gets bored. So capable but gets easily distracted and doesn't concentrate.' It all makes sense.' Does she think her life might have been different if she had received a diagnosis as a child? 'I don't know. And maybe I wouldn't be where I am today. So I don't regret any of it, but now I am older, I can understand that I need to hold back and evaluate situations more.' Katie and Kieran separated in March 2018 after five years of marriage but their divorce wasn't finalised until four years later. The couple split after several infidelities by Kieran, with the stripper later admitting he suffered from sex addiction. The model was famously married to Peter Andre from 2005 to 2009 after meeting on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and welcomed Princess and son Junior In 2021, Katie was awarded a 16-week suspended jail term after being sentenced for a drink-driving crash. The TV personality flipped her BMW onto its side at about 6.20am on September 28, on a country road near her West Sussex home. Following the accident, she tested positive for alcohol and cocaine, and admitted drink-driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. Katie is currently in a loved-up relationship with former Married At First Sight star JJ Slater. The model was famously married to Peter Andre from 2005 to 2009 after meeting on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and welcomed Princess and son Junior. Admitting she was on the 'rebound' Katie started dating cage fighter Alex Reid a mere eight weeks later. The pair were married from 2010 to 2012 before their acrimonious split. She then wed the father of her two youngest children, Kieran, in 2013 after a whirlwind romance and their split - once again bitter - came amid allegations of new infidelities, three years after she caught him sleeping with her best friends Jane Poutney and Chrissy Thomas. In the decades since she first rose to fame, Katie Price has enjoyed – and quite likely endured – a decidedly busy love life that has seen her walk down the aisle three times before heading to divorce court in equal measure. Here's a look at the trio with whom she exchanged 'I dos'... and 'I don'ts': PETER ANDRE (2005 - 2009) The nation got to watch love blossom between the pair when they starred alongside one another on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here back in 2004. The flying sparks soon became nuptials, with blushing bride Katie and her erstwhile pop hunk beau tying the knot at Highclere Castle (the grand Berkshire estate of Downton Abbey fame) in September 2005. Katie, who was already mother to son Harvey (born in 2002 following a romance with former footballer Dwight Yorke), soon started a family with her new husband. The couple welcomed son Junior in 2005, while daughter Princess followed in 2007. Creation between the pair also came artistically, with the release of reality programmes, a failed talk show and a foray into the music world. However, after four years of securing their position as the Ken and Barbie of reality TV and glossy magazine deals, the pair announced in 2009 that they were going their separate ways. ALEX REID (2010 - 2012) Katie soon switched her romantic allegiance from a onetime ab-bearing pop heartthrob to musclebound MMA fighter Alex Reid. The two met at Michelle Heaton's 30th birthday party at London's Cafe de Paris. But shortly after they got together, Katie dumped Alex on live TV, only for him to win her back and the pair go from strength to strength. Weeks after proudly cheering her man on to a win on the 2010 edition of Celebrity Big Brother (also featuring none other than her ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers), Katie jetted off to Las Vegas to tie the knot with her new partner in February 2010 after just seven months of dating – and nine months after divorcing Peter. Following their Sin City sojourn, the pair returned to their native UK, where they had a formal ceremony – which was filmed for a TV series. However, after just 11 months of marriage, the pair announced they were splitting and their divorce was finalised in March 2012. While Katie declared at the time that she married Alex 'too soon', she would later go on to reveal that a major factor in their split was his cross-dressing alter-ego Roxanne. KIERAN HAYLER (2013 - 2021) Showing herself to be a true woman of the times, Katie embarked on a romance with former stripper Kieran after the two met on the now-defunct Blackberry Messenger service in 2012. And just two months after altering the paths of their lives via those thumb-tapped fateful opening messages, the twosome would go on to exchange nuptials in the Caribbean. Kieran proposed to a thrilled Katie on Christmas Day 2012, and just three weeks later, the pair would be pronounced husband and wife in the idyllic shores of the Bahamas on January 16, 2013. They had their marriage blessed in Weston-super Mare, and in the months that followed, it appeared that Katie had finally found her happily ever after. They welcomed son Jett in August 2013, and daughter Bunny in August 2014. But Katie's world came crashing down in 2014, when she discovered that Kieran had cheated on her with her close friend of 20 years, Jane Pountney, and was enjoying a fling with another of her pals, Chrissy Thomas. After publicly lashing out at all parties involved (and naming her pet pigs after her friends-turned-foes), Katie appeared determined to make things work when she renewed her vows with Kieran in 2015. But alas, it would not turn out to be third time lucky for Katie, as the pair split in 2018 amid even more cheating allegations. Their 'amicable' divorce was finalised in early 2021.

Rapper stops concert to scold mother for 'irresponsible' act with baby

A rapper has paused his concert to call out a mother who he urged to be 'responsible' when it came to her baby. Colombian rapper and singer Maluma released his debut album in 2012, but found success three years later with Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy and its follow up's F.A.M.E. and 11:11. The performer – real name Juan Luis Londoño Arias – has sold more than 18 million records and is one of the best-selling Latin music artists. He's also collaborated with Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin. He is currently on his +PRETTY +DIRTY TOUR, however Maluma stopped a recent show after being shocked seeing a baby in the mosh pit. While playing in Mexico City, he paused his performance and started speaking to a woman in the crowd as the stadium fell quiet. 'Don't bring it leave it there [at home]. With all due respect I am already a father. How old is it? One?' he said, as captured in videos taken at the show. 'Do you think it's a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to where the decibels and sound is really hard. Next time protect his ears of something. 'The truth is that this is an act of responsibility, and you are swinging him like a toy. That child does not want to be here. With all due respect, since I am a dad, I would never have brought him to a concert. Next time be a little more conscious ok.' After footage was shared online, many weighed in on whether if he'd taken the right approach confronting the mother in front of thousands. 'Every mother knows what she has to do with her child. If not, they should limit the capacity to a certain age. What's the point in putting her through that in front of so many people?' user Lpeznerea commented on TikTok. 'Was it necessary to embarrass her while he was receiving applause?' Bri Rodriguez wrote. 'He's on stage waiting to receive applause while he humiliates his fan. I don't think that's the way,' Ricarda shared. 'Even if you're right about what you're saying, I don't think it's right to shame a parent in front of thousands of people. You could have posted a message on your social media afterward without having to single the person out,' crockett added. However, others said they agreed with voicing his concerns. Audiologists have warned that prolonged exposure to sounds above 85 decibels can cause permanent hearing damage. Concerts often exceed 100 decibels, a level that can be harmful within minutes. This is especially for children, whose ears are more sensitive as their ear canals are smaller, which can amplify the impact of loud noises. Without protection, they face an increased risk of noise-induced hearing loss, which is irreversible. It's recommended that children wear ear protection such as ear plugs, muffs or noise cancelling headphones, which can reduce sound levels by up to 30 decibels. 'Who would even think of taking a baby? If you have a baby and no one to leave it with, then you don't go. I totally agree with him,' Puri shared. 'Maluma is right, it's not a place for a baby. The organisers and security are the ones really responsible. They shouldn't have let a baby in,' carmencubedo explained. Maluma, 31, shares one-year-old daughter Paris with girlfriend Susana Gómez. Speaking to Allure last year about becoming a father, he explained how 'everything changed'. More Trending 'I love it. Now, I wake up every day with the desire to conquer the world. I know I have to f***ing kill it. For Paris, nothing is impossible. You have to lead by example. I go to bed every night that I can at 9 and wake up at 5:30 to hit the gym because I want to be healthy. You want to live forever for your kids. I want to make her proud,' he said. After Mexico City, his tour will continue across Latin America, the US, and Europe. Since rising to fame Maluma has won a Latin Grammy Award, an MTV Video Music Award, two Latin American Music Awards, and been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. Got a story? Adrian Dunbar's singing detective brings the jazz, but the script hits a flat note

The singing detective is back. If you remember the first series of Ridley (ITV1), starring Adrian Dunbar as a retired DI drafted in to assist his old force, it won't be for the plots. The memorable thing about this crime drama is that, once per episode, Dunbar breaks into song. This isn't quite as weird as if, say, Brenda Blethyn's Vera donned a spangly dress and did a rumba every time she cracked a case, but it's definitely out of the ordinary. Dunbar, who can hold a tune, asked for this element to be added to the show. 'I wanted there to be something interesting about Ridley beyond the police work', he explained. So Alex Ridley co-owns a jazz club in a quiet Lancashire town, where he croons the night away in melancholy fashion – sometimes with songs by Sheffield balladeer Richard Hawley, sometimes with standards. Who knows whether it was the musical interludes or Dunbar's heartthrob status – the drama was first commissioned when viewers were going potty for Ted Hastings in Line of Duty – but series one pulled in an average of 6 million viewers, which is pretty good going these days. So here we are with series two, each episode a self-contained, two-hour whodunnit. Dunbar was right, though, when he said there needed to be something interesting going on. The storylines are achingly mundane. I watched a preview of the first episode a week ago and the two hours passed pleasantly enough, but I have since forgotten almost everything about it. Which might say something about my memory, but also about the writing of Ridley. There was a robbery of a jewellery shop, a hit and run, a glamorous blonde woman who ran an equestrian centre, and a police mole. Each episode starts well as it sets out the crime, but soon melts into a puddle. And there isn't enough of the personal stuff. Ridley seems to have feelings for Annie (Julie Graham), who runs the jazz club, but if their relationship keeps developing at this rate, they may have their first kiss around 2028. Alex Ridley is a very boring TV detective. Oddly, that's the best thing about the show. Ridley is not a maverick (if he were, they'd have cast James Nesbitt in the title role). He is experienced, dependable and calm in a crisis. When he gets a call asking him to come down to the station, he always says yes because he's just quietly pottering around at home in front of a nice view. He has the requisite baggage – a dead wife and daughter, killed in an arson attack – and the requisite strong female sidekick (Bronagh Waugh). But once you've cast off the cliches, the strength of Dunbar's performance is that he acts in a recognisably human way. There is something reassuringly normal about him, and Ridley is a calming comfort watch. It just needs to devote as much care to the storylines as it does to the jazz.
