Brooklyn Beckham shared VERY telling advice for sister Harper, 13, before family feud was exposed

Daily Mail27-05-2025

His choice of wife appears to have caused a devastating family feud that seems almost irreparable.
But when asked what his advice would be to his only sister Harper Seven, 13, Brooklyn Beckham said: 'Find that one thing that you love and don't listen to anyone.'
David, 50, and Victoria, 51, are involved in a bitter fallout with their eldest son, 26, and it is understood his wife Nicola Peltz, daughter of an American billionaire, is at the heart of it.
The feud had been kept secret by the Beckhams for months and in what was his last interview before the bitter family rift surfaced, Brooklyn shared advice he gave Harper about growing up in the spotlight.
Speaking ahead of his race for Formula E in March, Brooklyn told the Mail: 'I just tell her, find that one thing that you love and just put your head down, don't listen to anyone.'

It comes as Brooklyn issued a clear message to his family that he was siding with Nicola, 30, who he calls the love of his life, by sharing a gushing Instagram post to his wife of three years.
The aspiring chef wrote: 'I always choose you baby, you're the most amazing person in the world, me and you forever baby.'
Hours after the post, Cruz, the Beckhams' youngest son waded in on the row for the first time by writing an Instagram post in support of his parents, showing he does not side with Brooklyn.
The 20-year-old aspiring musician penned: 'I love my family. I love you guys more than anything, mum and dad you gave us life and cared for us no matter what, I cannot tell you how blessed we are to have you in our lives.'
David and Victoria have resigned to the fact that they have become estranged from their beloved son after he failed to attend any of the football ace's 50th birthday celebrations last month.
Despite flying to London, Brooklyn and Nicola didn't attend the big family party at the Beckhams' Cotswolds home or an idyllic trip to France or a meal at Notting Hill restaurant, Core.
Earlier this week, there was further proof of the irreparable nature of the rift when Brooklyn and Nicola jetted to the capital from their home in Los Angeles on Monday for a joint photoshoot with Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler.
It took place less than two miles away from the Beckham family home in Holland Park, west London. Brooklyn didn't even tell David and Victoria they were in the country - let alone meet with them.

On Sunday the eldest child of Victoria and David, Brooklyn, 26, pledged his loyalty to his wife Nicola in a new post which said: 'I always choose you'
He appeared to make his feelings clear in his latest Instagram video and caption

It will no doubt be heartbreaking for the Beckhams' youngest child with speculation as to whether her eldest brother will attend her 14th birthday celebrations.
It comes after Victoria and husband David made yet another attempt to extend an olive branch to their son Brooklyn on Thursday evening as they attended the TIME100 Impact Dinner in New York City.
Putting on a united front at the event the couple displayed a family photo taken at Victoria's 50th last year which included all four of their children.
It captured a moment reminiscent of happier times for the family, prior to their ongoing feud with their eldest son and his wife Nicola.
While Brooklyn was present at the former Spice Girl's big birthday last year, both he and his wife failed to make an appearance at her 51st or at David's 50th earlier this month.
And while his other brothers Romeo, 22, and Cruz took to social media to pay their birthday tributes to their parents, on both occasions Brooklyn stayed silent.
Earlier this week David was named on the Time100 Philanthropy list as he was recognised for his decades of advocacy and philanthropy, particularly through his work with UNICEF.
And while David and Victoria are understood to be devastated following the fall-out with Brooklyn, as revealed by The Daily Mail's Katie Hind, the pair put on a united front at the event.
The Spice Girls alum cut an elegant figure in a sharp black tuxedo jacket and pants, paired with a white button up underneath.
Meanwhile David looked handsome as ever in a black suit and tie as they posed with NBA star Stephen Curry, 37, and his wife Ayesha Curry, 36.

However Thursday's event isn't the first time the couple have attempted to offer an olive branch to Brooklyn after Victoria took to Instagram last Monday to share a group photo of their four children alongside her father, Tony Adams - who celebrated his birthday over the weekend.
Captioning the post with the accompanying message: 'We both love you all so much!', the undated photo also features Victoria's mother Jackie, flanked by Brooklyn and his siblings Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, 13.
David is allegedly 'desperate to make amends with his son as he fears history is repeating itself' following his bitter fall out with his father Ted in 2005.
In the latest evidence of this, David included Brooklyn in a post about Mother's Day in the U.S. as he dedicated a post to the mother of his children, Victoria.
A sweet black and white photo showed Victoria cuddled up with her four kids, soon after welcoming their daughter Harper.
Alongside the photo, David wrote: 'Happy Mother's Day to the best mommy. To all our friends in the U.S. Happy Mother's Day.'
Meanwhile, Victoria shared a photograph of a beautiful bouquet of flowers she had been sent by Cruz and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 29.
While David and his dad Ted, 77, now share a close-knit relationship, the father-son duo were once not even on speaking terms.
After Ted suffered a near-death health scare in 2007, it sparked the pair to make amends and get back in touch - and they have been close ever since.
And now David is reportedly worried 'history is repeating itself' amid his rift with his eldest son Brooklyn.

NextEra CEO says renewables needed as bridge to expanding gas power

WASHINGTON, June 10 (Reuters) - Renewable energy sources like wind and solar power are needed to meet rapidly growing energy demand in the United States amid near-term obstacles to increasing natural gas capacity, said NextEra CEO John Ketchum on Tuesday. The head of the Florida-based power producer said at the Politico Energy Summit that competition and high costs to obtain gas turbines, a construction labor shortage, and the costs associated with tariffs mean that it will take at least seven years to get new gas-fired power plants online. "We need a bridge to get ourselves to 2032 when that gas shows up ... And when that gas shows up, it's going be three times more expensive than it's ever been," Ketchum said. "If we take renewables off the table, we are going to have a real power shortage problem in this country." U.S. House lawmakers narrowly passed a budget reconciliation bill last month that would phase out clean energy tax credits, slash spending on renewables, and claw back other climate-related funds. The House bill, which is now being debated by the Senate, shortens the window for developers to start and complete new clean energy projects to qualify for tax credits, and makes the incentives unworkable, Ketchum said. Ketchum's comments reverse an oft-repeated defense of natural gas in the fossil fuel industry during previous administrations seeking to fight climate change that had framed the fuel as a bridge to a renewables-driven carbon-free energy system. Trump opposes renewable energy subsidies and wants to expand production of oil, gas and coal. He has also declared an "energy emergency" to spur more fuel and electricity production, in part to meet growing demand for power for data centers and artificial intelligence.

EU seeks to lower a price cap on Russian oil and discourage Nord Stream pipeline investors

The European Union wants to lower a cap on the price of Russian oil to deprive the Kremlin of extra profits to fund its war in Ukraine as part of a new raft of sanctions aimed at forcing Moscow to the negotiating table, senior officials said on Tuesday. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said the bloc is 'proposing to lower the oil price cap from $60 to $45, which is lower than the market price, and lowering the oil price cap will hit Russia's revenues hard.' Kallas said the EU also wants to impose 'sanctions on the Nord Stream pipelines to prevent Russia generating any revenue in the future. In this way, it sends a clear signal we are not going back to business as usual.' All 27 EU member countries must all agree for the sanctions to enter force. In 2023, Ukraine's Western allies limited sales of Russian oil to $60 per barrel but the price cap was largely symbolic as most of Moscow's crude — its main moneymaker — cost less than that. Still, the cap was there in case oil prices rose. Oil income is the linchpin of Russia's economy, allowing President Vladimir Putin to pour money into the armed forces while avoiding worsening inflation for everyday people and a currency collapse. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she assumed that the price cap would be discussed and agreed among the leaders of the Group of Seven major world economic powers when they meet in Canada on June 15-17. She said the United States and its G7 partners realize 'that the oil price has lowered so much that the effectiveness of the cap is to be questioned, and therefore we all want to lower the oil price from $60 per barrel down to $45 per barrel.' The Nord Stream gas pipelines were built to carry Russian natural gas to Germany but are not in operation. They were sabotaged in 2022, but the source of the underwater explosions has remained a major international mystery. The Commission has said that it wants to impose sanctions on the operating consortium to discourage investors from trying to use the pipelines in future. The blasts happened as Europe attempted to wean itself off Russian energy sources following the Kremlin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and contributed to tensions that followed the start of the war. Von der Leyen noted on Tuesday that at the beginning of the war in 2022, 'Russia had 12 billion euros ($14 billion) of energy revenues from fossil fuels" from Europe per month. "And now we're down to 1.8 billion (euros).' The new EU sanctions would also target Russia's banking sector, with the aim of limiting the Kremlin's ability to raise funds or carry out financial transactions. A further 22 Russian banks will be hit with measures, von der Leyen said. An export ban worth some 2.5 billion euros would also be imposed, and the assets frozen of more than 20 Russian and foreign companies alleged to be providing support to the Kremlin's war machine. Von der Leyen said the sanctions are aimed at forcing Russia into serious talks about peace with Ukraine. 'We need a real ceasefire, and Russia has to come to the negotiating table with a serious proposal,' she told reporters. The EU has imposed several rounds of sanctions on Russia since Putin ordered his troops into Ukraine in February 2022. Around 2,400 officials and 'entities' – often government agencies, banks and organizations – have been hit. It's last raft of sanctions, imposed on May 20, targeted almost 200 ships in Russia's sanction-busting shadow fleet of tankers, and tightened trade restrictions to stop produce that could be used for military purposes from reaching Russia's armed forces.

Glen Powell's ex blames Sydney Sweeney cheating rumours for their split saying ‘I hope they're in love'

GLEN Powell's ex Gigi Paris has broken her silence on their split more than two years after their relationship ended. Actor Glen, 36, and model Gigi, 32, broke up after three years together in 2023 amid rumors of a romance between him and his Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney. 3 3 3 Speaking to Emma Klipstein on the Too Much podcast, Gigi - while not naming her ex or 27-year-old Sydney - slammed Glen for failing to put the fan speculation to bed at the time. She said: 'It was just, this is what I have to do for my job. 'I had two options. I could either pretend like I was going along with everything and have everyone wonder, like, 'Are they hooking up? Are they not hooking up? Is she okay with this? What the f***?' 'Or stand up for myself and say, 'No, I'm actually not okay with this, and I'm walking away.' So that's what I decided to do… I was shattered.' Both Glen and Sydney, who at the time was engaged to Jonathan Davino, have denied anything happened between them and actually admitted to playing on the rumors to ensure maximum publicity for the movie. Glen previously told the New York Times: 'That's people wanting what's on the screen, off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully.' Now Gigi has slammed her ex for refusing to deny the continuous speculation. She said: 'Where are you when you just need to stand up and say, 'No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend. I wouldn't do that.' 'That's all that needed to be said. And that wasn't said ... Never once. "It was serving them for their PR. Later on, it turned out that it was all, I don't know if there was a relationship there or not, but then they came out to say it was all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship. Like, it was just crazy.' And she admitted at the time she hoped Glen and Sydney would end up together so her break-up wasn't for nothing. She added: 'I honestly hoped that they'd end up together, because I was like, at least it would make it worth it for me, you know? I hope they are in love or whatnot.'
